The 4-3-2-1 system we play requires a striker with physical presence to play the 1 up front. Perhaps not Chamakh but someone more prolific maybe. It is a role I don't think Kenny Miller is at all suitable for

Frankly I couldn't care what Brown thinks. He is a third rate player whose opinions matter not a jot. It's up to ourselves to ensure we challenge and I believe we will. It's not exactly the EPL or La Liga we're playing in.

And hertz(who finished third last season) have just been put out the EL by Maltese opposition Not exactly the EPL or LA liga we're playing in.

I think there's been a bit of an over reaction by some to yesterday's result. For starters it was a friendly & we will not come up against a striker of the calibre of Andre Gray again this season. That said I think we will need to improve defensively and will do so before the end of next month.

The one area of the Rangers team which needed strengthened from last season was CB. I'm both surprised & disappointed that this hasnt happened so far.

They need to get Whyte to stand trial & see where that leads to.

Although I'd be reluctant to read too much into a friendly ai think our CB problem was there for all to see today. Would we be better playing 3-5-2 with the three CB's and both FB's in the five? And when we play 1 up front in the usual 4-3-2-1 we need more of a physical presence up front than Kenny Miller IMO.

The minimum requirement is a top three finish in the league to get us into Europe IMO.

I'd agree with what you say about the back4. We've still got the same back4 as last season which lost too many goals towards the end of last season.

The reality is we learned very little tonight from a game we were always going to win on an awful plastic pitch. It was only a case of giving more players gametime & trying to get match sharpness up before the season starts in a fortnight's time. One comment I do have though is that I do think Rangers are better when both McKay and Waghorn are playing.In the case of McKay, if he plays as well as I expect him to in the top division this season, I don't think he'll be with us next season.
