There's no doubt Lescott not signing may be a disappointment to some of us but if there was any doubt about his fitness or he had a change of mind then it's a bullet dodged for me. And I'm not convinced Senderos has played enough games over the past couple of years to merit a contract. We're looking at defenders because we're conceding too many goals particularly at set pieces. So what now ? I'd suggest a 3-5-2 (5-3-2) system. At least for just now anyway. The back 3 would consist of wilson, Kiernan & Matt Crooks who at 6'5" should be able to take responsibilty at set pieces leaving wilson & Kiernan markers. The 5 would consist of a central MF three of Barton, Rossiter & probably Forrester. Both FB's Wallace & Tavernier would provide the width in attack & defence as a3-5-2 going forward & a 5-3-2 defending. Up front would be Garner(or Miller) with either McKay, Waghorn or O'Halloran supporting. Thoughts ?

Celtic face yet another UEFA rap as fans fly Palestine flags

Palestinian flags ? LOL most yahoos probably couldn't point to the Middle East on a map -

Let's hope so -
Don't think this tie is quite over yet if Hapoel get an early goal next week. Their keeper let them down badly tonight.

Liewell's man in UEFAJohn Delaney will see little or nothing comes of this. Uefa has been proven to be corrupt. The yahoos should be banned by now with all those fines -
Celtic fans rage at club after being charged up to £49 for Rangers match

Can't they just go to the DSS and get a crisis loan ? -

If he's had no pre-season I don't see how he can possibly do enough to impress in a week -
Can someone expain in simple terms how the retail stuff works ? PUMA manufacture the strips & sell to SD who sell to RRL ? Is that correct? RRL supposedly gets dividends from SD which the club gets ? Who else gets dividends? And the club recently cancelled the contract with RRL ? And RRL accounts are seven months overdue? I find it all rather complicated

Plastic Whistle are a two bob outfit who don't belong in the top flight of Scottish football. They'll get relegated soon hopefully. So poor they don't have internet access to see the SPFL website which clearly show Rangers history since 1872. Just like many of our detractors.

Celtic fans urged to launch Israel protest

Their tactic is always the same....LIE, DEFLECT or DENY. They have a massive problem with militant Irish Republicanism which politicians & authorities will not confront as they should -

My understanding is he's 6ft so he'll give us much needed physical presence up front. Looking at his scoring record it seems reasonable. You could put Vardy up front for the likes of PNE & he'd struggle to score with poor service. Seems a decent acquisition if we get him. Now for a CB....... -
I looked at the Newcastle team yesterday & didn't recognise half of them. Genuinely feel sorry for them. We are a settled club now on and off the park. It has to stay that way

The Llambias appointment should have started alarm bells ringing. His record at Newcastle was horrendous.

AFAIK Garner is a 6ft striker so he can also help defend set pieces in his own penalty box. Something we need too. -

Genuinely hope we get Garner. Ticks a lot of boxes for me. If we got him at least when McKay skins the FB he won't be looking at an empty space to deilver a ball into any more -
[FT] Dundee 1 - 2 Rangers (Forrester 14; Miller 39)

Never ceases to amaze me how many of our support don't seem to rate Foderingham too highly. I'm not one of them. I rate him very highly and think we'll probably lose him if he proves himself this season. -

Straight red IMO. The usual suspects seem to have conviently forgotten about this incident in the first half -

Disagree. Shouldn't the ref have sent O'Dea off in the first half for a deliberate kick at Forrester? All O'Dea got was a yellow. Should have been red IMO. -

You need to remember who Motherwell's manager is. McGhee has a habit of managing teams which lose heavily at the San Giro and drooling about how good the yahoos were after the game -

5 mins gone & Wallace puts a great ball into 6 yard box. Where is Miller? How much longer can this farce go on? -
Chris Sutton - Rangers looked to be closing the gap on Celtic but...
RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I can maybe understand what Sutton is on about if he is talking about Rangers not strengthening whereneeded to i.e. at CB and a striker. Have to say I'm more than a bit concerned we haven't done so but will wait & see what happens before the window shuts
