Moaning Motherwell and Partick Thistle only have THEMSELVES to blame
RANGERRAB replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
All Club1872 are suggesting to these clubs is that if they want change they'll need to vote for it & have suggested voting SR onto the SPFL board. Cant see anything wrong with that. Where the double standards kicks in is when the likes of Motherwell start complaining anout only getting one visit each from us & the yahoos next season but stated quite clearly in the summer of 2012 they didnt need us in the top flight or words to that effect. These complaints seem to suggest otherwise and again I think Club 1872 are perfectly entitled to point this out -

Dont forget our youth set up too though. It needs to be providing youngsters coming thro' who are capable of getting into the first team. Otherwise there's no point in it being there at all -

I think Club 1872 have every right to comment on his. In 2012 clubs were saying they didnt need us & threw out out the then SPL & we had to go cap in hand to the then SFL for membership and got put in SFL3 as its clubs wouldnt have us in SFL1 as the SFA wanted Now,since we got promoted back to the top division, some of these clubs are up in arms cos us & the yahoos areonly going to visit them once each before the split next season. Am I missing something here but chickens are coming home to roost for what they all voted for back in 2012? TOUGH LUCK - frankly couldnt give a damn about these clubs. especially Motherwell -

The days of us spending £5m plus on players are long gone. For starters we dont have that kind of money to spend on one player anymore and the salaries they now get compared to when we last signed that sort of player have gone thro' the roof. I'd guess we will be essentially a squad of 4 or 5 experienced players with the rest u25 ish all with sell on values. That's the economic reality we(and the yahoos too) find ourselves in playing in Scottish football today. It is therefore imperative we get a good global scouting system in place and youngsters coming thro good enough to get into the first team. Not easy I know but unless we can get out of Scottish football that's not about to change -

This does concern us. It is about how many times these clubs playing against us at home -

It's times like this when we need a strong voice within Rangers to slaughter these clubs for what is double standards. Four years ago they didnt need us. Four years on they're complaining they're not playing us enough !!! You couldnt make his nonsense up....... -
As long as he gets trained to go after our enemies he'll do just fine

Vaughan might just be too big a risk. He's 28 next month & has never hit the heights expected of him. Would appear like a Francis Jeffers type signing again to me unfortunately. -

Going after Mariappa ( & signing Clint HIll) it seems to me that MW & DW are intent on breaking up the Wilson-Kiernan pairing which shipped far too many goals in the final months of last season including the SC final which cost us the EL place -

He's the Jamaica captain AFAIK. The reggae boyz are usually more than half decent IMO. Watching MOTD every saturday night I've certainly heard of him & surprised he's available on a freebie. He came on as a sub in the recent FA cup final for palace vs Man Utd IIRC. -

Mariappa isnt 'lower English league' or a 'no-name'. -

I'm absolutely delighted we're in for a player of the calibre of Mariappa. Let's hope we get him...... -

If we're serious about signing Mariappa we'll need to move fast. He's bound to get other offers.Came on as a sub in the Cup Final for Palace vs Man U IIRC. Didnt realise he was out of contract -

I'm sure this is what MW and DW are waiting to find out. Rodgers wont be blowing tens of millions that's for sure. Going from signing players for Liverpool for eye watering transfer fees in the EPL to signing players for the yahoos in the SPFL will be like going from shopping in harrods to shopping in poundstretcher -

Or perhaps this is a deliberate gesture to the yahoos? Constantly being linked with players from down south that is. Wouldn't surprise me cos DW will have learned this from WS. Who can forget us being linked with Loovens but the yahoos nipped in to sign him only for us to then sign a miles better player in Bougherra. Maybe we're trying to show we're actively trying to get players from down south who are better than some of the dross the yahoos have been signing these past few years. And maybe we're trying to see what Rodgers has to spend given the already bloated squad he's inherited without CL money coming in. Just a theory mind -

My understanding is that Mariappa can play RB as well as CB. Would be a useful addition if so IMO as we dont have cover for Tav -

Going to be very difficult to keep Windass, Rossiter & Forrester out the starting XI next season IMO -

I also wonder if we'll see some more players leaving. If Rossiter, Windass, Forrester & Barton do as well as expected where does that leave Holt & Halliday? -

I wonder if we'll play three at the back next season and maybe go 3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1 or something? We've got the FB's to play these formations -

He hasnt exactly played many games over the past couple of seasons has he? And he has had his injury problems in the past. Davie weir for me is/was a one-off because I dont think there are many players who have gone thro' their careers with so few injuries as him I can recall. -

Meanwhile we wait to see what action Rhegan's SFA will take against hibz(because they were by far thee biggest perpetrators) when they get the findings of their inquiry by some retired old legal duffer whose name I cant remember. Just a pity they couldnt have been as decisive as UEFA were with Russia at Euro2016 -

I find it difficult to believe this Clint Hill story ( or whatever his name is) should it be filed alongside the Steven Taylor story from last week? Nothing came of that one did it?
