What if he threatens administration? -

You really think that's a good idea? Do you think really Ashley will negotiate with King ? I fear Ashley will go for the nucleur option. He has nothing to lose and doesn't believe King has 5m (as do I) -

Oh I'll buy an ST. Don't worry about that. Once Mr King delivers his promises that is.... -

I have no dislike of him I assure you. Perhaps I am less convinced by him than you & others are -

5million probably means nothing to him as would putting us into administration as a result. If King has the money some say he has he should pay Ashley his money back -
New management team: Mark Warburton and David Weir

If we were to get around £400k for Nicky Law from, say, Huddersfield then I think we'd use some or all of that to get Scott Allan from hibz before the end of August..Allan has only a year left on his contract at hibz and doesn't look like extending it so they'd need to sell before he can sign a pre-contract in January -
Recruiting a manager is probably THE most difficult task which a football club's board of directors has to do. And in reality no one can be sure whether a manager will be successful as hoped for or not. But they can only judge candidates by their recent history and make their decision accordingly. That is why I think from those mentioned I believe Mark Warburton would be the best choice for Rangers

My guess in all of this( for what it's worth) is that the board wanted Vitor Pereira but that's not happening now as we didn't get promotion. -
No chance whatsoever of selling 45K ST's.

Surely he can give a loan to allow the new manager (whoever it is) to bring in some quality players before the season starts? In 3 or 4 months time the transfer window will have closed. And we will be relisted by then?

Isnt Mr King going to invest?
-
What is the current situation? No FD or CEO and delisted from the stock market. Is that good? Not to mention we dont yet know who the manager will be for the new season and who will be playing for us. Not a lot there to convince everyone everything is ok and we should all renew ST's no questions asked. I genuinely hope this current regime can turns things around but so far I have been far from impressed

LOL i am an ST holder.

Until we know who the manager will be next season and what budgets he will have there is not a lot we can do. Will we be paying transfer fees for example? The last player we bought was Templeton. I dont think we can continue with Bosmans
-
Without knowing who the manager will be AND who we will be signing there is absolutely no chance of that happening. You might have total faith in KingCo others like myself want them to prove themselves first and today did hothing whatsoever in that respect unfortunately for me
-
I would say 2) is every bit as important as 1) if not more important. I dont think I could suffer another season watching Kenny Miller & Nicky Clark toiling up front
-
I think few will renew ST's until they know 1) who the manager will be next season and 2) which players will be getting signed to improve the quality of the first team squad
-
But why sid he continue to pick the same players who had let McCoist & McDowall down? His team selections and tactics were similar to McCoist's too. They failed for him why were they suddenly going to work for McCall? He needed to make radical changes. He didn't and met the same fate as his two predecessors this season.
-
This is a very valid point RPB. Who will sign for them and run the risk of not being successful in a third rate league without Rangers in it? Look at their recent flop signings & flop loanees such as Boerrigter, Tonev and the Ghanian winger whose name I can't remember. Where do they go now? They're all out their way out. Not exactly going to be getting EPL offers are they?
-
McCall was given a chance. He failed miserably with just seven wins out of seventeen. His team selections & tactics were infuriating too. Too often when I got to Ibrox towards the end of last season to discover McCulloch was still getting a game at CB & Miller was still up front I genuinely felt like turning round and going home. And I'll say it again - had McCall not previously played for Rangers he'd never have got considered. There is nothing I can see in his managerial record that stands out to suggest he will be what we require. He should be thanked for his services for these past three months and wished all the best for the future. No more than that

Pereira would be the type of appointment better suited if we were in the top division and competing in Europe. Next season the manager has two main aims:- 1) promotion. 2) win the SC to get into the EL I stand by my belief that Warburton would be a better apointment to achieve these -

I thought Pereira rejected the job when we didn't get promotion? -

Any managerial appointment will not be without risk. When you consider all of the names that have been mentioned I believe Warburton should be the clear favourite.
