before we sign anyone CG needs to decide who he wants as Rangers manager next season. No point in allowing Ally to sign players and we end up with the same standard of performances next season then it becomes necessary to get a new manager who inherits all Ally's duds.

after the transfer window shut last august I felt we were seriously short in MF. That was abundantly clear today. We don't control MF & have little or no creativity. The manager needs to take the blame for that.

This one of several anomalies regards D&P. The money they gave Whyte prior to buy out never touched Rangers account. How can Rangers be a creditor ? Whyte bought Rangers by using Rangers assets (season ticket sales) which is illegal.

It could happen mate believe me things are going to get pretty desperate for some clubs very soon. If we can get back into Europe sooner under 'special circumstances' i.e. Whyte gets convicted then we'd need to go for it. As I said they'd need to accept certain conditions of ours i.e. the transfer embargo being scrapped with immediate effect

Presumably 'they' think the punishment i.e. £250k fine isn't severe enough & they'd appeal that. Don't think it'll happen though

Don't think so. The deal was between Ticketus & Whyte. The money never appeared in Rangers accounts. It was used to pay off LBG from Collyer Bristow. That's why Ticketus are pursuing Whyte thro'the courts.

The last thing Scottish football needs is another 2 clubs if this 12-12-10-10 nonsense were to go ahead. There's too many clubs as it is

I'm still convinced that there was political intervention from a certain Labour politician who used his political influence to get HMRC to pursue us over these EBT's. The leaks were all part of it in the grand scheme of things. It made the club unsellable at a time when SDM wished to sell (until Whyte appeared unfortunately). Simultaneously the two bhoys at LBG were tightening the screw on the club regards its overdraft which AJ was successfully reducing. Am I paranoid by saying everything was all part of a big set-up to destroy Rangers in which the predictable individuals in the mhedia played their part too and are continuing to do so today. We even had Keevins spouting nonsense on SSB on Monday night saying we were liquidated with over £100m debts - RUBBISH. The only debts the oldco eventually owed was Whye's nonpayment of PAYE/NI which HMRC allowed him to run up. The ticketus money to pay off LBG was a personal agreemnt between them & Whyte in which the monies never touched Rangers account hence ticketus having to chase Whyte for their money back

I think we also need to face up to the fact that not all of the youngsters whom we've seen this season will be able to make the step up we require. McLeod & McKay might be able to but the others I'm not so sure about. I think that's maybe why Ally is looking at tried & tested players

If we're offered a quick return to the top flight I'm sure CG would accept it purely from a business viewpoint. Iam of the opinion it will be the likes of SKY and other financial contributors who will decide on league reconstruction. Scottish football cannot do without their financial input and if they don't get what they want they'll either walk away or reduce their financial contributions accordingly.

We need a total clearout at the 3 current bodies in Scottish football i.e. SFA, SPL & SFL. That also includes all club chairmen & CEO's currently holding positions within these bodies too. We need a single body to run Scottish football which is both transparent & democratic and is never again allowed to be hijacked and run the way both the SFA & SPL have been during this past year.

Hope you're correct. We need results soon whether it's HMRC, BBC Scotland, LBG or whoever.

Last summer the SFL clubs called for a vote of no confidence in Regan which was proposed & seconded but Jim Ballantyne said something like now wasn't the time for a vote like this. Well when is the time ? Last Thursday's outcome surely means his involvement in the 5-way agreement means he now has to go(along with Doncaster too I might add)

as associate members of SFL I'm sure we don't get a vote for 3 years or something. But we are full SFA members. As recall Regan seemed to take an eternity to agree to transfer over the licence from the olco to newco thus ensuring we were same club with history intact

I wonder if SKY or other financial contributors to Scottishfootball have had words in a few ears & told them it's not worth a jot without Rangers in the top flight. SKY's viewing figures were down something like 73% I'm sure I read recently. That said, it's difficult to see how we could be in top division next season unless the SPL was allowed to go bust & all its team had to apply for SFL membership who could then create a new top division to include these clubs and Rangers. Then, of course, there would be a problem in that we had to start at the bottom in SFL3 so why wouldn't they? SFL clubs would rightly be unhappy IMO

we're not associate members of the SFA. We're full members of the SFA. I think it's the SFL where we've got associate membership

I'm not sure things can move on for us. We need a full investigation into the 5-way agreement from last summer which was basically to remove titles from Rangers with no right of appeal. I would like to know everyone who was behind this and their reasons for doing so. Name names please

As Gordon Smith said we need a full investigation into the '5-way agreement' from last summer. All of those involved should either be sacked from their positions or receive lifetime bans from Scottish football (like Whyte got). Things cannot move on until this happens

What an utter buffoon English is. The EBT's were perfectly legal. SDM's only 'crime' was not to declare them to the SFA/SPL despite the fact they were in the annual accounts every year. Why didn't the SFA/SPL ask about these EBT's? Did they not read the accounts? if they did read them who did they think they were for? I think the SFA/SPL both have a bit of answering to do in all of this. As a governing body the SFA is not fit for purpose. And if English doesn't know why SDM sold to Whyte then he's in the wrong job. The word blackmail springs to mind along with LBG.
