Or if they must bring it, get somebody with a sense of rhythm to bang it.

Young Reyna on as a sub for USA. Watch the Dutch two goal lead vanish.

In the Daily Telegraph online now.

Uruguay gone. They play a lot of neat football but they are consistently the meanest of the South Americans. Brazil were dull. Cameroon were wildly inefficient but quite exciting. Their ‘keeper had a butter-fingered twenty minutes in the second half but Brazil kept hitting shots high and wide. England could win this with Germany out of the way.

Allocated blocks perhaps. -
Rangers 'sued for £1.6m' over Sydney Super Cup withdrawal

I expect the claim will be for loss of profit. I have no clue about the mechanics of the tournament but I wonder if every ticket above, say, 20,000 is profit. @onevisionabove makes a valid point about Rangers’ fans refusing to attend. Another compromise payout looms. -
The Club’s fine. Some of it’s followers, though ……

Croatia have a lot of players who can take the ball in tight spaces, control it and do something with it. If they had a finisher they would have been out of sight against Belgium early in the second half. As it was, Lukaku missed three sitters. Well, they looked like sitters until you saw the closeup replay. Not a lot more he could have done with the ball coming to him fast and awkwardly.

Headguards as used by amateurs, maybe.

Patagonia is full of Welshmen.

Watched a full ninety + minutes Argentina v Poland. Some old-style, intricate and high speed Argentine footwork in and around the penalty area. Should have scored five or six. The “foul” on Messi was never a penalty. Justice done when the ‘keeper saved it. Apart from that, I don’t know what Poland were doing. If the strategy were to avoid yellow cards, it worked. Formation back pedalling with almost zero engagement. Opening goal scored by a chap with the traditional Gaucho name of Mac Allister. Shades of Babbington and Houseman of old.

Surprised at that Bill. I believe they are quite well regarded in Shepherd’s Bush. Nearly as popular as Fulham. Rodney Marsh played for them after the Boer War.

Any reason why not?

The promise of a sensational ending lured me into watching the last ten minutes of France v Tunisia. The lady commentator kept on about the Tunians. Who they? VAR was technically right to chalk off the French goal but a lot happened between Griezman getting back from an offside position and driving it into the net. There were about two minutes left for play. The ref blew for full time. Then the VAR issue came up. Thank God I’m a fan of neither the French nor the Tunians. For one lot, Elation/Despair. For the other, Elation/Despair/Elation - then more Despair because the other result meant they were out no matter what. Pity that a minimal offside can’t be overruled by the artistic or technical merit of the disallowed goal but who’s to judge that?

Perm any three from eight and he’s a miracle worker.

I can’t remember the last time I listened to one.

Embra derby yet again. The Rose v the Rovers. No street-dancing in Raith? Drumchapel Utd draw a plum tie with a trip to Elgin. Are Drum any good? Should I worry? Should Aberdeen worry about Darvel? I wonder where the match will be played.

By God, yes.

The most controversial moment in World Cup history?

The Brazilians just walked off! Imagine the histrionics nowadays. -
He looks more the part in suit and tie.

Wild goal celebrations with subs and coaches joining must stop. New rule required: a) Ref blows whistle for goal. b) The restart is twenty seconds after, ready or not, with the offside rule suspended for thirty seconds. That should get things going again without the collapsing, cuddling, boogeying, forehead-banging, sky-finger-pointing and ground-head-bumping. Without my proposed moderate change, how long before we get the full Thanksgiving Service on the centre circle after a goal? Or High Mass depending who scores.

Do QPR face better opposition than Rangers?
-
That is really good. Four bob (20p) to see the Eintracht demolition (ticket top left) Despite the despair it was worth it. Rangers scored three (not half enough for a draw) but the Germans were really good that night. I reckoned they had a good chance against Real. Proves I knew nothing then and to be honest, have made next to no progress since.

Very interesting, thanks. celtic now the country’s leading club by a lot of these measures and how does Norwich do better than Rangers in Commercial?

Poll: Steven Gerrard as Rangers manager - Yea or Nay?

Valid, though.
