Yeah Super you're making a valid point. I can see why it's nice for a manager to have a variety of players obviously but at some point I think it's up to Mather to either send people on or stop bringing new lads in. Anything else seems unrealistic and not very sensible.

Apparently Ally enjoys being in the position to have a large squad to pick from. But any coach will tell you having a 30+ player squad is difficult because people who don't play will get incontent sooner or later.

What confuses me is that Ally says he wants two good keepers competing for the spot. Right. Then he says Gallacher has been outstanding, so why the need to get in yet another one if there's two good lads already? Gallacher mit not bring that much experience but it should do as bachup shouldn't it.

I am quite comfortable with the way the team looks and feels right now. We are able to show at least alright performances at this early stage of the pre- season. However, Ally's signing policy is something I still regard with a little bit of a surprised face. This is a huge team and supposedly he still wants to bring people in. You're not gonna be able to keep up a roster of 30- 32 players. That means 20 people can not stand on the park. I understand a wide variation of players is important, especially as the season goes into the last games and injuries and fatigue come into play, but people will get frustrated when they don't play. If Ally's got a greater plan with this, he needs to communicate it. Anyway, I'm optimistic overall.

You could argue that any player just does his job. But some do this little bit of extra day in day out and McCulloch is one of those players, at least from my subjective view.

This may be so. He still gave it 100 percent on and off the park. You could argue it's his job and expected of him, but others didn't quite dig in the way he did.

I would like to see him get a start even if it was just to try him out, but I don't see Ally putting him before Black as someone obviously really needs to stuff up before they're rotating out of the squad.

Personally, I like the new strip. And I say that as a big fan of our Umbro Jerseys. To be honest I expected this to look a bit silly coming from Puma but I enjoy this quite a lot. Happy we're back to black and red socks. Anyway, the length if shorts are in need of getting used to.
