  1. I know mate, but I couldn't bring myself to type anything good about them. Sickener so it was.
  2. Are we importing them now? Flags today from Hamburg, Bochum and East Germany (although I thought that had gone). What's the story, dB. Are they actual Germans or just Scots living there - and if they are authentic, what's the relationship between Hamburg and Bochum (I notice it wasn't VFL)?
  3. as long as the grief is given to you in the form of an arguments or a debate, no problem. The problem is when some skinhead, knuckledragger in an England top acts the hard man up against some women and kids. Scumbucket that he is.
  4. It's late on Saturday, you've probably had a few and the fingers are typing faster than the brain is thinking. That's why you are conflating two separate ideas, ascribing to me statements I never made and then condemning me for the things *you* said. I didn't say that if he's found guilty of nothing I hope they hang him out to dry; what I said was However, what I do hope happens is that they *do* find him guilty and then hang him out to dry. In this light, I don't think I need to address the rest of your post.
  5. Venom? Ok, two questions for you. 1) do you know what venom is? 2) Would you care to cite some examples of my 'venom' and then show how these are different to simply holding a different opinion to you?
  6. yes he was wrong to rip the flag down. How can there be any question of that? Some guys feel strongly enough to create a banner against Green. If someone else is so incensed by this, they should get their own banner and hang it up next week. It's called free speech. And I'm not just saying that because I want Green out, but because it's about freedom of expression and respect. Any time I see a UVF or an Israeli flag at Ibrox, I want to go across and set fire to it. But I don't. Because, apart from the fear of getting my lights punched out, I recognise that in a fee society, everyone has the right to be a cunt, as long as they don't injure others. The debate on Green on this forum has been feisty and both sides have put forward their opinions in a robust manner. it's got a wee bit nippy from time to time, but it's always been on the understanding that the other side may be utterly wrong (GA, STB, UCB, yes, I'm talking about you, come on down and take a bow) but they are arguing from the standpoint that what they believe is best for Rangers. And while one may think they are wrong (aside to audience: "they are, they are!") one has got to respect their viewpoint, their right to express it and, importantly, the way they express it - which has always been the right way - because we all recognise that we all care equally for the club. Ripping down a banner because you disagree with it is the action of a knuckledragger. It's not tolerated on Gersnet; it shoudn't be tolerated at ibrox.
  7. Run that by me again? regardless of what we think about Cg we should hope that he's exonerated? Nah, you've lost me there, bud. I think he's a sneaky, blowhard, motormouth, puffball, out of his depth and I hope they hang him out to dry. However, if they say "nah, he's innocent of these charges" I'll accept him as CEO - but not happily. He's a carpetbagger, he's bad news and he will end in tears for us - he doesn't belong at Ibrox and I want him GONE.
  8. At long last a statement that feels right. What is going to happen is what should happen in a properly run organisation and wat was said in the statement is what should be said. The subtext is that the board are not prejudging him and are giving him the possibility of a second chance but , even if the independent report gives him a clean bill of health, Green has had his knuckles rapped and warned as to his future conduct befitting the position he holds. If the independent report clears him to carry on, I would be prepared to accept the judgement. Ifotoh, they call for his resignation, the party's at my place. Byob.
  9. Taylor missed an absolute sitter - should be 4-0 @ half-time
  10. SIE 0 - 3 Falkirk
  11. SIE 0 - 2 Falkirk
  12. Sporting Integrity East 0 - 1 Falkirk. I know they're called the Bairns, but this is ridiculous. They're all about 14!
  13. your word in god's ear, mate. I tend to agree with you about Murray, too; He seems to be a good guy - which doesn't, of course, mean that he's not ineffectual. He could have been appointed to the Chairmanship precisely because he poses no threat to CG. I think Murray is handling this in one of two ways: 1) sticking his head under the covers and hoping it all goes away with him still in a job. or 2) He's gathering support andputting all his ducks in a row, with a view to overthrowing the Green crew. If it's not the second, I fear we are in for a very, very bleak period.
  14. I'd go along with that,cb; it's been a good wee debate so far and carried out in a good spirit by all concerned - Have to say, but - if it was a boxing match the referee would have called it off by now and awarded gunslinger the title. Although, I would expect this to be challenged by Whyte, claiming the title was his first.
  15. ah, c'mon Frankie, that was funny - and I don't think tom was having a go at STB - more at Cribari and Argyriou
  16. When you're being criticised about political incorrectness by Andy Goram ffs, you know it's bad!
  17. actually, getting relegated into div2 might be the best thing for them. that way they get games against us.
  18. Aye, in the family enclosure.
  19. 20s and 30s? Bud, it was rip roaring mental in the 70s as well. You'd often have more polis than fans up there
  20. brilliant! tingling down the spine !
  21. that guy Webster from Hearts looks like just what we need
  22. How can I put his? £££££££££££ or maybe $$$$$$$$$$$ possibly €€€€€€€€€€€? or lack thereof if SKY pull the plug
  23. let me see if I can help: Every time he's asked a leading question Ally has to say something which achieves four objectives: 1. He has to let the fans know he is in touch with what they think, feel and want 2. He has to do this in such a way as to keep himself at arms length from an employer who may or may not have the club's interest at heart and in such a way as to be able to continue to work with said employer 3. He has to be able to do the first two in such a way that doesn't give the press any opportunity to hang him out to dry. 4. he has to do the first three in a way that befits the manager of Rangers FC. Oh, and he has to run a football club as well.
  24. I wasn't meaning discharged in terms of being arrested, bud. If you use the term Paki in the wrong company, it's not the cops who will be discharging you, it's A&E - and Turks and Scots are the proper collective nouns for those nationalities, Not diminutive or familiar forms. Here's a very simple and invariably accurate way of judging if language is appropriate: If you can use the term to describe a group whilst in the company of that group, the term is acceptable. Context, and all that.
  25. Do you seriously think for a second that Johnson wasn't bothered by being called 'Darkie' or that Ahmad enjoys being called Paki? Seriously? Have you ever seen 'The Office'?
