Group Of Celtic Fans Pay 3k For Advert In The Hearld
trublusince1982 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
hope they get done for using the celtic badge. if not should gn down as having club consent so bringing the game into disrepute on a positive this will hopefully make it top agenda in the press where they will need to print the truth along side their misunderstanding of the law. -
we should be negotiating from a position of power. Call an egm to out the easdales/sommers.Divide and conquer. At the same time have the fans group petition the other shareholders for the same along with a fan petition like the one done the other day, we now have most of the names of the shareholders, we should use them to swing the vote to our side and at least draw a dividing line in the sand. You are rather with the club and its fans or you are with ashley. Same as Ashley did when he was demanding wallace and co go but with the added bonus of having the customers on board. Then use those positions on the board to first stop the rot then second to move us forward.
-
they didnt have 5 minutes to spare. even if they did the plan that seems to be coming apparent is poor and naive. only a plan to attack their power in a quick and determined fashion whilst snapping up shares till overwhelming board representation is aquired would do any good.
-
putting two and two together looks like the plan was to offer cash when we need it and easdale and co would fall at their feet. more likely they will do one of two things. 1.take a loan from ashley for whatever takes his fancy 2.take the money from 3 bears only if the get no power from it(1 board place) either way nothing changes. feel like sarver is our only hope now for change
-
thought these guys had a plan? sounding more and more like they dont and are still living in a make believe world where ashly and co will suddenly do whats best for the club and not himself
-
sounds like p..h. probably in loan agreements any takeover they have to be paid in full. so 3m to ashley plus cash for this months bills. as said most likely edjits putting 2 and 2 together
-
king said £5m a year for 5 years did he not? Share issue plus whatever the 3 bears have left over and any further investment they can attract. Didn't they say they had two backers not announced yet?
-
was feeling terrible for frankie!! thought poor guy canny pay the bill and obviously didnt want to get the begging bowl out!
-
other than spite it can only mean they have a trick up thier sleeves that relies on the good guys only having one guy on the board.
-
if 3m loan gets two places 6.5m cash should get 4!! lol

12/01: American businessman Robert Sarver pulls out of running
trublusince1982 replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
depends whether you can weigh up whats said and reason. he was looking for a euro football team. ask yourself what a ball park budget for that would be? then ask yourself what level of club would you get for say £50m then weigh that level of club against rangers for £20-£30m its a no brainer even with the cost of rebuilding. when asking why would a businessman want a football club then yov must realise that every club has a businessman in charge they dont do it because they are all fans! the usual reasons apply. money, power, challenge, and recognition -

so. it shows how a team in a backwater league can out strip a premiership club easily even when the fans are boycotting merchandise. That is why we are a viable interest. Our fans buying power is huge. -

pretty sure a guy in his position will have thought of that ahead of any bid. as he said he has done his homework. doubt any owner would usually be thinking of making money for himself through club revenue streams like merchandise would imagine he expects to make money through the share price increase when he sells, that can rise regardless of ashleys grubby hands. Ashleys grubby hands only hinder the fans as it will affect the team on the park, as in how much can be spent. But personally i would expect to see fan numbers grow back to historical numbers the second we start to function as a football club again. -

why do you think we have an english billionaire using every trick he can think of to take over our revenue streams . We make a shit load of money. As has been said before Ashley made more from our retail than he did newcastles. Just take it as granted all these millionaires and billionaires aint floating round us cause we aint worth anything. their presence alone should tell you we have obvious value for those will the knowledge of how. -
what happens if egm is called then x amount of wks later just b4 egm club announce bid from sarver has progressed? can they cancel the egm on those grounds?

SoS online petition - Remove the existing board

its worth it to let all the other shareholders know how the customers feel and counter the boards excuses. would maybe have sent the emails to all the larger shareholders instead of summers. -
What right do they have to call anyone in? Is all financial information regarding a company on the aim not confidential to anyone outside the company and can only be passed through statements?

its the boardroom we need control of not shares or both would be best. egm is too long await, too much time for ashley to formulate.
