The Summer Transfer Rumour Round-up Thread

Taylor is a step up from Wilson and Keirnan but had hoped for better. England are always looking for good young CB's if we could find one and gloss him up we could make a killing down the line -
yeah my understanding too, the chairman of st etienne owned the bicycle manufacturer and gifted us the new model they had just produced

So if you met a guy and he started going on about talking snakes, a man living in a big fish for three days, a character based on an Egyptian God of the sky walking the earth spreading the word of God based on writings by eye witnesses decades after the fact from a time when illiteracy was 90 odd percent and life expectancy about 30 years you wouldn't doubt his sanity even a little?? Sorry but find it hard to take serious anyone who sticks to the tenant man and animals where created on the same day 5000 years ago and we all come from Adam and Eve. That's just for starters ..... As said by others probably best we leave it alone could go on for hours about inaccuracies and such but nobody wants to hear it especially on a football forum. Maybe I should have said I can respect the person but not the opinion or something similar Edit * having read back should have stated the Horus stuff was tongue in cheek not sure if the wee smiley face gave that away or not

online it's easier to rely on predictive text to sort out the general stuff. It's a constant battle that personally I gave up caring or fighting a long time ago. It has became more of an issue in the last ten years or so because so much time is spent online or texting . It's not really much of an issue for me anywhere else than online As said earlier nobody can argue with any high probability of winning when it comes to is there a god or not. When it comes to the Bible the argument against is massively over whelming

I never said anyone was brainwashed wrong poster. In that case then people should be free to feel offended by things that religion spouts as truth. You can't have it one way and not the other. If saying it's nonsense that man was created the same day as animals for example then it must also be equally offensive to say it's true. Can't have it one way and not the other. Take your point that I can't determine what someone gets offended about but you can't seriously expect people to not say something factual because it may offend.
-
not really sure how being dyslexic changes one iota of the argument. Facts are facts whether the person saying is in your eyes of lesser intelligence or not. Argument is also a strong word to use not sure how any argument or discussion could take place on the merits of the bible. There is no reasoned defence just faith. The likely hood of there being a god or any such thing is a different argument altogether

I respect your right to your views. That's not the same as saying I respect everything the bible says or will take without question or comment inaccuracies painted as fact. You have the right to believe and spread the words you believe in just the same as I have the right to question them. I expect everybody to have the ability to question and examine then state their opinion no matter what that opinion is Do you not believe I have the right to say what I believe without anyone getting offended? Why is it only religions that hold that right? You can treat these questions as rhetorical . whether you believe it or not i have no intention in offending you I am sorry you are obviously offended by what I believe

Would never want to belittle someone's beliefs and everyone should be free to believe what they want, it just leaves those of us who realise it is complete crap worried about the sanity of people who can believe such obviously made up and doctored doctrine. Especially when those people go on to hold high office.Should I want someone who can believe without evidence, can disregard evidence to the contrary and believes that god will end the world and in doing so he will meet his god, being in charge of things like the nuclear arsenal? Do you believe in Adam and Eve and the whole garden part where man and animals where made at the same time? Could go on and on about the bible and how Jesus is just Horus but rejigged to entice the masses. Please do not be offended bluedell its honestly just my beliefs and not for the sake of annoying anyone just leaves me baffled how people can follow when so many holes are apparent Can understand the believing in a maker but religion is just man's way of controlling other men
-
It's refreshing to hear so many like minded people. At times reading the various media outlets I can't help but feel like the only one who sees religion as completely mental. Just watched Religulous by bill maher the total reluctance to discuss why people believe certain things is firstly amusing then your hit with a feeling of fear as the reality of the situation and the inevitable consequences of these beliefs becomes apparent

Not really I can see where people get that opinion from. Britain and especially the Union Jack is synonymous with the prodestant religion in Scotland. Anything like this should be thought of in majorities. Guessing but I would say the majority of Scotland's Catholics voted to leave the union while the majority of prodestants voted to stay. Obviously it's all subjective but think most people see Union Jack and think prodestant. The SNP in my opinion last week have shown without a doubt in my mind that they do not care for or look out for those they regard as pro British whether they consider those people by affiliation to be prodestant is pretty much impossible to tell.Rangers fans are regarded as being pro British and Prodestant for most that seems to go hand in hand even though if you took a consensus I would bet most of our support would lean toward atheists. Don't know if anyone has ever done a split of the vote by religion would be interested in seeing it personally. I would strongly suggest based on nothing more than my circle of friends work colleagues etc that the vast majority of the 17% of the population who are classed as Catholic would have mostly voted for independence and the opposite for the percentage of Prodestants.

Rule Brittania and God save the Queen gets booed and seems to generate a lot of hatred from opposition fans. So if we sing them is that inciting violence? Scotland has as far as I can remember always been divided by religion. The independence movement added gasoline to that already burning fire. Until those in charge face up to the problem and the causes it's only going to get worse

The same old tired excuse of its alcohols fault. HAve been drunk at many a game especially old firm games and have never ran on the park and attacked anyone yet. Alcohol is not to blame, well no more to blame than the constant stirring of hatred used by the media in shock and awe tactics to help save a dying trade. The problem is hatred inflamed by differences and separation . Stop using religion to identify a child and where he should be placed for schooling, stop trying to split the country in half and stop letting religion have any say in the running of a country or community. Stop having one rule for one and another for people who dont have the same wants as you Independence has set the country back 2 decades. Don't blame alcohol for obvious consequences. Thats just an easy cop out What else did you think would happen when you set the country into two groups with opposite wants? especially when religion can be so easily mixed in. I'm afraid the scottish cup final will not be the last of it. Whether Scottish football will survive the coming years of infighting is anyone's guess. My money is on no.

appologised said he opened his mouth without knowing the full details. Put the blame squarely on hibs fans

starting to get the feeling some of the video footage has been shown to some in the media. All of a sudden opinion is changing. Even the two idiots cosgrove and cowan have seemingly changed their tune

was talking to a mate the other day who was going on about this. He took his son to a tour of the new walkway. The tour guide explained that the weird position and angle of the statue is on purpose so the European cup faces Ibrox. My mate said he was disgusted and lost for words . I'm always on at him saying its all about the Rangers so it hit a nerve!

There are just no qualms from papers to print lies nowadays just as long as it causes enough unrest or backlash to sell a couple extra papers. Remember when journalists used to hold themselves up to the light and had a sense of honour . Anyone else spreading as much unrest and inciting hatred would be arrested.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse...

We are viewed as the opposition. Mainly because we are. We stop them from doing stupid things and point out the hypocrisy of their actions. They no longer bother to determine if what we are saying is correct or not all they care about is getting what they want regardless. We as a group need to form stronger ties and I am afraid we need to stop looking at being fair to all for a while and stick to fighting our own corner and winning our battles regardless of the crying from anyone in our way. Best thing all bears could do is stop listening to our detractors and concentrate on cementing our power -

It's a no to ball for me. Way down the pecking order for DM and not good enough in the center of defence. We need stronger and better if we are to challenge for the league -
Think tactics will stay the same but the roles might be slightly changed. Barton will play the usual holding role and rossiter will play the Halliday or holt position but with slightly more emphasis on covering.
-
Seemed they only got control because rangers fans chased hibs fans to the halfway line which allowed them to bring in the small number of horses they had and keep the gap enforced until police came from outside to start a cordon. Agree it seemed nearer the 10-15 minute mark than 6

The statement lit a fire under them all. They were clearly trying to brush it all under the carpet. Finally today we are seeing the government and newspapers pushing for answers. I don't doubt for a second that would not have happened had the club and fans not reacted so loudly and angrily

He comes across as very intelligent . His answer on the comparison between English football and Scottish is up there with the best I have heard. English football is an outlier .
