  1. What has happened is simple. The SPL and SPL fans illegally kicked us out, then celebrated wildly. Then they realised that despite all the millions they'd stolen from us, they still needed more. So they blackmailed the SFL into committing suicide so that they can have the triple whammy of: Rangers banished..but still: Keeping Rangers generated money Keeping Rangers under total control when "they eventually return no matter how hard we make it for them to do so". We have been done over like a kipper and no, we will never look back on it as one of the better ones, we have been and are slaves to masters who enjoy abusing us - today made it official for even longer.
  2. It also means we and all other SFL clubs inherit the SPL debt and ongoing debt commitments, it means we are under the control of Liewell, Reid, Dungcaster and Lunny. It means all our TV money will continue to go to our rivals, particularly Septic. It means if, despite all the unfair handicaps placed upon us, we ever get back to be near challenging, they will pass a rule on something (ex criminal owners, songs in the stadium, offensively wearing blue) that will immediately dock us points (if Lunny has not by then banned all our players and no-one else's) and ensure 20-in-a-row for their beloved thimz.
  3. I'd like to have them. Easy book to write at that!
  4. My parents adore "Deedle" and the Waddell song was one of the first I was taught. I thank you for the post and have no quibble over his achievements, but there is another side to his record at and relationship with the Rangers. Firstly, no-one in the Scottish press even today has quite managed to lambast the Rangers fans in such a vitriolic manner as Mr Waddell who basically called us the scum of the Earth ("louts" "gutter-rats" "tykes" "drunkards") in a rant dear to Spiers' heart (and of course reproduced by him as proof he is not hard on us as he's never said anything remotely as critical). Secondly, on the documentary "The Big Teams" he stated - and it has haunted us ever since - that Rangers fans go home and beat up the missus if we lose an OF game. Even my mother, who thinks him a deity, complained at that. Thirdly, his vindictive and self-serving campaign to undermine Dave White and get him sacked was shameful, petty and childish in the extreme. There was only one "wee boy" revealed in all those destabilising attacks at a time when we were so close to ending the schum run. Fourthly, White's team had been agonisingly close to toppling the greatest schum team ever. Waddell's was so far behind them in the league that other teams were ripping the piss out of us as we came absolutely nowhere in a supposedly two horse race. I was at every game in those seasons (home and away in Scotland only one away in Europe) and I remember it all. Funny how yesterday is so blurred but Ranger's 35-45 years ago is clear as a bell..... A great Ranger, unquestionably - but a flawed one
  5. double post sorry, was told it had not been sent...
  6. Not sure whether to laugh or cry at this news. After all his crimes, a warrant for his arrest in a case where he is the victim of theft, not the thief himself.....
  7. Not for me for two reasons: 1) His record is not very good, sometimes appallling 2) he has said he would never do it as "he couldn't manage Rangers - they are not my kind of club". He was saying this not when schum manager btw. Talking about how big the OF were and how he couldn't turn down Septic but then added that curious remark on about us.
  8. this is jaw dropping: " I offer this up as no threat, but if we cannot reach agreement on the 42-club solution on Wednesday, the next day we will push forward with a 22-club solution." What would a threat sound like, then? I suggest it would sound like this: "if we cannot reach agreement on the 42-club solution on Wednesday, the next day we will push forward with a 22-club solution."

Dearie me, it was only a light hearted comment, therefore the smiley. Dozens of stories on other forums are not repeated here. It's normal, just look at the daily thread counts. If you wanted it on Gersnet why not post it rather than questioning its absence as though this (its absence) were a matter of some great import?

Perhaps Gersnet is a forum that supports Rangers players and managers past and present while others spend their time abusing and attacking them. Only guessing On that note: congrats to Sir David of Wier in becoming Sheff Utd boss. Wonder if he'll pop along to see us on the 24th................
  11. I think he is busily writing "Charles Green's book" (As Charles calls it despite having someone else write it and it being about Rangers). Should make a lot of money for them both.
  12. With the over 10milion spent on his watch, I am surprised there were any left to complete, far less begin.
  13. I note they are not mentioned. "Rival fans" = euphemism for "obsessed pond scum". Sorry to all ponds and their inhabiting scum for the analogy
  14. Why? Point 1 Because we have a fractured support (if Mark Dingwall backs a boycott RM are likely to oppose it. They hate him like the rest of us hate TLB, it would appear) that struggled to come together for one boycott far less two years of them. Point 2 Loss of buses going to away games for two years. Nothing wrong with it from my point of view and that would help the RSCs from far from Glasgow (but it is the Glasgow environs ones who would lose their travelling to away games by buses) - but I strongly suspect we'd not be allowed to do so either by an existing rule or one they'd make up.
  15. A boycott that long would: a) never be supported b) catastrophic/the end for many, if not most, RSCs
  16. PFA Scotland have advised Cammy Bell, Nicky Law, Jon Daly and Nicky Clark not to play for Rangers until September. All four players have agreed pre-contract deals at Ibrox and last week the SFA and the SFL gave them the green light to appear as trialists. However, the signing embargo placed on Rangers last year means the players can’t be registered with the SFA until September 1 – and the PFA has warned they’ll be taking a gamble if they agree to play before then. The union fears they may not be covered if they sustain a serious injury. Former Hibs and Livingston midfielder Stuart Lovell, now Player Liaison officer with the PFA, claims most pre-contracts are worthless. Jon Daly is unveiled as Rangers' latest signing SNS He said: “If they have it in writing that an injury won’t affect their contractual status then I’d say they’re fine. “But players must be 100 per cent sure they have written assurances that their agreements will be honoured should they get injured. “And, in the case of the Rangers lads, I would say that – if they don’t have these guarantees – then they should wait until September 1 before it’s safe for them to play.” The union points out that there is a precedent for a pre-contract arrangement being ripped up with Slask Wroclaw centre-half Jaroslaw Fojut losing out on his three-year deal with Celtic last year after damaging his knee. Lovell added: “People say clubs won’t renege on pre-contract agreements but Celtic did just that with a player from Poland. “FIFA also don’t recognise trialists. I don’t know of any other league outside Scotland that allows unregistered individuals to play. “Pre-contracts are a legal can of worms. If a player signs a contract then it has to be registered within 14 days but how can that be done with a pre-contract? “Cammy, Jon and the two Nickys have already signed but they can’t be registered within 14 days so how can that be legally binding?” http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-new-signings-warned-players-1927028? I guess this is what the PFA should be advising and I would further guess that the cost of providing them with insurance that was legally binding would be both difficult and prohibitively expensive.
  17. Today's episode, in the Daily Rhebel's "hotline" section: THE appointment of Walter Smith as Rangers chairman has split supporter opinion. Bizarrely, we’re talking about Celtic fans, who outnumbered their Ibrox counterparts more than two-to-one in calls and emails on Smith’s new post.
  18. I heard D'Artagnan on this a week ago or so. It was good stuff. Well done to all involved.
  19. Which makes him one of the few sellable assets!
  20. Or are aiming to sell Wallace, can't see any other explanation really
  21. They won't have agreed to him being there to smear him either, tgey need this to work too. Obviously it is to sell season tickets but let's hope it signals a period of at least relative stability.
  22. I presumed he would be too but Richard Wilson in the Herald the Retard front page proclaim Walter as new Chairman. See other thread, folks
  23. Both the Herald and Retard say Walter is our new Chairman. Here's the Herald : Walter Smith to become Rangers chairman Published on 30 May 2013 Richard Wilson WALTER SMITH is set to be appointed chairman of Rangers, with Malcolm Murray stepping down from his position. The changes were approved at a board meeting in London yesterday as the directors attempted to find stability after a period of dissent and strife. An announcement to the Stock Exchange was expected this morning. Murray had been expected to either stand down or be removed from his role. He was the subject of a unanimous vote of no confidence among the seven other directors this month and had a board meeting last Friday taken place as planned he would have been voted off. Leaving the Rangers International Football Club plc board without a chairman would have led to uncertainty among shareholders, although Smith's appointment was unexpected. He has previously expressed a reluctance to take on the role, and has twice come close to stepping down as a non-executive director during boardroom difficulties. Smith had been critical of Charles Green, the former chief executive who resigned and will, come midnight on Friday, no longer be a director. Much of Murray's time as chairman was spent clashing with Green and Imran Ahmad, the commercial director who left last month. It was also Murray who instigated the independent examination – by Deloitte and Pinsent Masons – into alleged collusion last summer between Green and Craig Whyte, the ex-owner. Although Smith was an ally of Murray's during much of his time on the board, the ex-manager reluctantly came to the same conclusion as other directors a change was required. There is also the prospect of an extraordinary general meeting, called by the shareholders Blue Pitch Holdings, to contend with. There are four resolutions to be heard at the meeting. The others were for Philip Cartmell, the non-executive director, to be voted off the board, James Easdale, the owner of McGill's Buses, to be voted on, and for Chris Morgan, said to represent the family trusts behind Blue Pitch Holdings, to also be voted on.
  24. I presume we'll hear about the board meeting - if we do at all - from that scrote Chris McGoblin first?
  25. I thought this was going to be a thread about Airdrie still being Airdrie. Instead it is this utterly depressing story. This is another disgrace. Makes me feel sick.
