  1. We have plenty options mate, our squad is huge. I doubt Ally will have the balls to go two up front so it will be Daly with 5 in midfield imo. (Edit-Smith), Shiels and possible Aird or Gallagher taking 3 of those spots leaving 2 places for possibly Peralta or Faure and Hutton. I'm just thinking what Ally will do. It's certainly not what i would do.
  2. We actually don't know if we have or not because Law and Black are picked every time they are available no matter how bad their form is. No one else is getting a chance. I wouldn't even say they are our best players, not by a long shot. As little as we have seen of Lewis MacLeod since he broke through last year, technically he is far superior to both those players. Probably scored more goals too the kid.
  3. Fair enough but i couldn't disagree with that more, especially under McCoist. A weakness on his part. We are not Ally McCoist FC.
  4. For his own ego? That sort of stat at this level is utterly meaningless.
  5. Law and Black are not good enough either, they are a couple of passengers. What we are going to need against Rovers and Utd are legs, willing runners, dig and effort. All of which is lacking from Law and Black. Faure played alright today in midfield and Ally would not hesitate to use him in there as he has done since the lad has been here. All kids are untried Rab until they get a chance. Telfer and Murdoch are both bursting for a chance, they certainly deserve it. I think both would surprise you. Why is lack of pace an issue for Jig but not Black? He has no pace either. So it doesn't just leave Shiels, it leaves us every name i posted, none of which in my opinion are any worse than Law and/or Black. We will only toil if we make it hard for ourselves, feel sorry for ourselves and look for excuses. It certainly doesn't need to be a toil.
  6. Meaningless is harsh, fans are still paying money to see our team, players should still be giving 100%. If the manager chooses to keep picking the untouchables then it is his fault if things go tits up.
  7. Why not? We will most likely be up against, youngsters. Make use of our top class youth set up and fantastic batch of kids coming through, that is what it is there for. We have plenty options. There is not a kid in our squad who would offer less than Ian Black and i doubt we have a kid weak enough to go missing like Law does every week. Let's not show fear here, let's not make this an excuse for failure, let's not show weakness already with the games weeks away. Be brave, be bold and be strong. Crawford Peralta Faure Murdoch MacLeod is he's back. Telfer Shiels and Jig at a push too. Plenty options, nothing to fear.
  8. Because their contribution to the team is so huge?
  9. I meant Northern Irish, Irish, not Irish Irish. I probably should have just said the English love republicans! That would have been easier.
  10. Battle of the bluenoses. No surprise Del came out on top.
  11. I've heard a few of them say that mate, one a woman too. Deep down they know he's no good but i think they suffer from the same reluctance that some Rangers fans do in being honest about McCoist.
  12. I am not so sure. The English love the Irish.
  13. What has he done to merit a job in the EPL? Seriously now.
  14. Young players are denied game time all over the world at every club, we have cloggers like Jig and Daly and libilities like Mohsni and Foster denying kids a game. We have imposters like Ian Black denying kids a game. Kids are being denied at Rangers all over the place in favour of experience and reputation.
  15. Easily. That is extremely harsh Ian. Plenty, like the reasoning why. I think around 15 or so in the first team squad. I agree we need defenders, at least 3 but thinking of bring bodies in when we have so much already on the books is ridiculous. We need bodies out first, as soon as possible so we can then think about building for the future. The hard bit is the players we need long term we won't be able to sign for the foreseeable future due to so many factors and i don't want us wasting money we don't have on diddies just to make up numbers.
  16. But it's not a case of that, please don't drag it down. Debate it properly. Argue against it, don't throw the towel in so cheaply. This forum is supposed to be about proper debate, reasoned debate so let's have it. I believe i have put it across to you respectfully. You on the other hand have came out with "rubbish" "look!" Telling me i think i am right and anybody else is wrong when that is simply not the case.
  17. That Utd team won't beat us. They are mediocre at best.
  18. There's no need for that mate. Miller would have 10 other players helping him in a team unit stopping Celtic. A team of Millers could do it, a team of Littles, Clarks and Dalys won't. It's not hard to understand we need to up the quality in the squad. Miller is undoubted quality and easily better than what we have. Jig is done, finished, he can hardly run nowadays and will be a liability the higher up we go. Daly is mediocre and Wallace may not be here much longer and even if he stays one player of that experience is not enough. I don't agree Aird is improving, i just don't see it. Clark imo won't make it here. Gallagher yes has had a nice introduction into the team but it's very early days for him. How many strikers do i want? How many defenders do you want? We have 9 centre backs and you want more and only 3 strikers, 4 at a push but 2 of them the manager regularly plays out of position elsewhere. The whole team is a priority, we have possibly 2 or 3 maximum right now who will be any use challenging Celtic and competing in the SPL, the rest must be moved on as soon as possible for our return to the big time.
  19. It absolutely was, we were the UKs number 1 back then. Sky TV changed everything.
  20. Tickets and venue are an SFA matter but Thompson and their trust had to get personal, they attacked Rangers. Now i expect our board to stand up for our club, our fans and our brand.
  21. I doubt it would be any more than the likes of Cribari, Wallace or McCulloch mate. If we got a couple of seasons out of him it would be well worth it. He is exactly what we need going into the SPL, proven quality and experience. He looks after himself very well and with no international distractions now i am sure he would be fine for another few years.
  22. And watch Celtic win 10 in a row. Good plan. As clueless as Ally is even he can see we need quality and experience in the years ahead. There is nothing stopping us building for the future using experience along the way. Miller is a model pro, our kids would learn so much from him. And just keep adding to an already huge squad? Where does it stop, when we are posting £20m losses? £30m?
  23. Absolutely not mate. Look what we are watching just now mate, Daly, Clark, Little, garbage, absolute garbage. We know what Miller and Boyd can do. They have proved it at every level we could ever play. I would feel a lot more comfortable going into the Championship and SPL with those 2 than what we have just now. Perhaps i am biased, i absolutely loved both of them.
  24. Not many Germans can't speak English. Amazing how people can sing in a language yet can't speak it.
  25. Boyd and Miller would be sensational signings.
