Chief Football Operations Officer, Club Scouts, Where Are They?
Super Cooper replied to chilledbear's topic in Rangers Chat
I don't know why mate. You would have to ask Mr Park. It was put across to me as him saying no whilst they are here rather than them saying no to him, I honestly don't know, why. -

I'd imagine he knows more about them and the situation at the club than you or I mate. He has it good over there but would happily come here under the right circumstances. He certainly wants to. -

The info came from a member of Allys staff to a very good friend of mine who has known him for years. As for the scout, well that's the easy bit Zappa. -
Gersnet Prediction League - World Cup Brazil 2014

I think the big defender will be a bigger loss than Neymar. Bernard is a class act if he replaces him. Thiago Silva however, how do you replace that! -

The Easdales are stopping the best scout in Scotland coming to Rangers. -
Outside of football Ally McCoist is a very very intelligent man and i mean very intelligent. To suggest he couldn't see things going on at the club that daft fans on the street could see is just ridiculous.
-
Obviously. To suggest winning a domestic cup is on par with being top tier League Champions is sheer lunacy. Anyone can win a one off cup, well anyone except us. The hard bit is sustaining ones ability and consistency long enough to challenge for the marathon, the big one, the top tier league title. The only avenue to European footballs elite tournament where all the money is. Does winning the League Cup still get you into European footballs secondary tournament? But aye Domestic Cups = League titles.

I don't even think it's up for debate any more. Isn't it obvious? I would love to be wrong but i just don't see it.

Yeah now. The 10 year period i spoke of above 1998 to 2008, they averaged 58000 to our 48000. Our board do undoubtedly need to deliver a bigger capacity and do all they can to fill it as often as they can as well. We need huge European crowds, Champions Leagues matches, an exciting manager, good players, positive PR......we are miles from being what we should be but don't seem to be doing anything to get there.

He should have quit and then outed them. The club needed that, the fans needed that.

Since the late 90's have we ever been able to compete with them financially though? They had over 10 years of average crowds 10000 higher than ours after they rebuilt their ground. That is around a £50m gulf in just 10 years. Just from ticket sales. How could we cut such a financial gulf? Throwing money we didn't have at it under Advocaat didn't work. Thinking out the box with PLG didn't work. Bringing back Walter was always going to be short term given his age. AMcC isn't going to do it. Murray didn't have the brains or desire to keep up with them financially, Whyte obviously didn't have a clue full stop and this lot have shown they have no desire to rid our club of the biggest handicap in catching Celtic. Financially we don't know what they will do to compete with Celtic. Dave King spoke of Celtic running away with Scottish football, he claims he has the means to stop that, i don't question his desire to stop that, none of us want it, something needs to change, as you say, probably off and certainly on it. I don't think there is any doubt we are not being run properly mate, that much is blatantly obvious.

If i was Rangers manager i would not have had the brass neck to take us down 4 divisions and keep the same salary i had in the top league. I would have demanded talks with the board to decrease my salary accordingly, but that is just me. I love my club. If i was financially comfortable i would have worked for as long as needed at the club i love for nothing and not asked for any deferral. But then if i was making such a c*nt of such an easy job i would probably have been the bigger man and done what is best for the club and simply walked away anyway. But that is just me. Rangers daft with blue blood and a blue nose.

You are only assuming it will be a quarter. We don't know what our top tier budget will be yet mate. What i will say is, if we can't match their revenue streams or turnover then it's obviously unrealistic to expect us to operate with the same budget as them. Trying that got us into a couple of horrendous financial messes. We need to accept we are not as big or as rich as them. They can buy players we cannot and they can offer contracts to players we cannot.

That's impossible to predict, we don't know what Allys budget will be next year. If he is backed as well as he has been in the last 2 seasons and this one then he will have more than enough tools to dominate Scottish football until he retires. There will be no excuses.

The likes of Stokes, Griffiths and Commons will be choking to get a hold of our lot next year. Going to be messy. -
It's been covered tirelessly on here since I joined certainly and on every other social media outlet for the last 3 years.

What is the point of giving this current regime tens of millions or whatever it is when everyone keeps saying they are so incompetent? It's like keeping Ally in place and giving him £100m, it's pointless if he doesn't know what to do with it.
