What £50m investment? You're not talking about Kings moonbeams are you mate? BPH and Merlins £50m is more realistic atm. It's not about reducing ambition, it's about operating within our means. We turnedover £38m per year without European football whilst in the top league, Celtics last turnovers were between £63m and £75m in the last few years. We had to reach a European Final just to top £60m. With European participation we still only reach the mid 50's. We have to be realistic. We need to find out how and why Celtic make so much more money than us and actually take a leaf from their book. Has Ally done anything to get a scouting team in place? He is the football manager in charge of all football operations. Has he actually told the board he needs a scouting team? If the board gave him a choice of Jon Daly or John Park who do you think he would choose? I think we all know the answer. I think the fact Ally still has support within our fanbase proves ambitions have lowered mate. We are accepting failure in the Ramsdens Cup these days. We have people shamefuilly saying promotion is all that matters and are judging Ally on that, promotions which are guaranteed before a ball is kicked may i add. You say the board need to get their abilities out the gutter, do you not think Ally and his team have been backed enough in the last 2 years? It's the management team and the players who need to get their abilities out the gutter. We can't afford to give them more money, they have had more than enough, and some. Time and money.

Then we need to cut our wage bill mate. If it means we cannot compete with Celtic and become another provincial club then that is where we will be and what we will become. We can't exactly operate with overheads similar to Celtic as we are nowhere near the size of business they are. Financially they are on a different planet to us, with a £50m injection or not. Every summer thousands of players become available on free transfers, it's not hard to build a team capable of winning our backwater league mate. It can be done alright, no problem with the right ambition, the right scouting and the right contacts. We don't need to spend millions on every new player. I don't believe we have any mate, that is the job i think which needs done at Rangers. I have said all along you could give Ally £100m and he still wouldn't win the Premiership title. Every penny he gets is another penny wasted. We need change in the dug out before we even think about competing with Celtic.

Cheers Hildy, i couldn't agree more with that bit. You are too clever for me to argue the rest with you, i have my opinions and with what i have seen from our fans over the years i don't see it changing. Right or wrong.

Police say there is no proof of criminality at Rangers

1-1 it is then. -
We could win the SPL with a team full of free transfers no problem. The only investment we need is money to help us operate. To make up the short fall from those fans boycotting the club.

They couldn't even keep quiet to let the man speak, that is shameful stuff. This anti board mob, the rebels, are actually making me want to support this board with their actions and lack of class.

To me, fan ownership is Santa Claus stuff, it is ridiculously unrealistic. I don't believe there is another support on the planet like ours and that is not a compliment btw. We have sat back for decades and accepted lies, mediocrity, verbal kickings, moonbeams, this and that and done absolutely nothing about it. Such a large fan base cannot change over night indeed it hasn't changed in a decade, there is no chance of it happening now. It's the stuff of fantasy thinking it can. Fans take responsibility for our club, a club supported by millions, turning over millions and responsible for hundreds of employees? They can't even take responsibility for themselves. I didn't see people clamouring for fan ownership when SDM was flashing trophies in our faces every yer. Now we don't like the board we want to take over? Get real. As for the RST........God help us.

That's not my plan. In fact, I don't have a plan. I just know what has work, what can work and what can't and won't. I pray for a healthy club, a good solid successful club, our fans cannot deliver that.

I believe the other side of the coin is equally as deluded. Let's not kid ourselves here, fans will never own Rangers nor should they. The fact is we need a saviour, no ifs bits or scare stories. A dream or not. We need one.

I would say so, certainly. It's a cracking question, i would have to probably say something along the lines of Ronaldo Messi Bale Suarez Ibrahimovic With Thiago Silva, Neuer, Strootman, Iniesta and Falcao in behind them. Just my preference you understand Gazza. I would say they are all world class.

With every fan barney and new formed group we prove fan ownership will never work at Rangers. Until one man with the good of the club comes in and buys the club we will go nowhere. This pipe dream about fan ownership etc have to stop. We need to find the right man with the right means and right desire to take our club forward, the fans will not and cannot do that.

Probably not a club outside Celtic who could afford £200k for a player in Scotland. Utd know they won't pay anything near that and whatever they do pay they will most certainly make a healthy profit. This transfer is as much politics as it is an actual football transfer. This is a huge get it up ye, another one, from the Arabs to us.
