Summer transfer window: Official ins/outs and transfer rumours
Super Cooper replied to Zappa's topic in Rangers Chat
It's open to interpretation mate. To deliver our strategic ambition, the following specific actions will be implemented: 1) Strengthen the Playing Squad - 2) Funds will be made available on a targeted and phased basis over future transfer windows, starting in Summer 2014, in preparation for the Championship Season but also looking at future seasons with a more structured and planned approach. 1) We can strengthen with a similar budget, no doubt about it. 2) Time will tell on that. "future windows" We are now just into one of them and have strengthened our attack no end already. -

If he can't see that is exactly what we do need then we are well shot of him anyway. -

Similar budget is more than fine for this level mate. It was already far too top heavy, so much so, we couldn't actually afford what we had, and still can't. -
Too far!!!!

You are talking about glory hunters not wanting to go to games because we ain't winning. That's different. -
I thought the complete opposite, i thought she came across as ruthless and Terry was always going to get the bullet as soon as she was appointed. Butch told them all they were goners did he not? In first team meeting. That's what i was told by a few Hibee mates.

Of course it will be mate. Fans will have no other option but to accept it. If change hasn't happened now, it never will. We can only piss with the cock we have and are already living outwith our means. -
Any proof of Greenco?

This would also help King an the fans who don't taut the board. If King was not being given anything return they we have a right to did our why not, I think. Why are the board so reluctant to let King on board and have a say? Right now we are just guessing why.

I understand that, Wallace has admitted it was wasted but the people who wasted it are gone, namely Green, Murray and Stockbridge, are they not? Were Laxey calling the shots when we had the last IPo? I thought they were now our main player. I also thought hedge funds were there to make money not waste it.

It was not really about the share issue, more If they need money, which they do, why not ask King for it. Give him a chance to plough the millions in he claims he has.

He doesn't have a pot to piss in. He wants the fans to do the hard work for him.

Summer transfer window: Official ins/outs and transfer rumours

Lack of scouting is not an excuse at this level, we are operating on a small scale, Ally and his entourage of staff and friends have enough contacts in the game to build a team and squad capable of dominating Scottish football, the fact they refuse to do that or are unable to do that tells us all we need to know about this group of people. -
They seem very reluctant to give up power for some reason, i think we should be told why. Anyone? Money cannot disappear down black holes, it will be accounted for as it has to be, he has been bold and brave enough to say he has tens of millions to invest, he should be given the chance now. I assume this £8m will go directly into running the club as even Stevie Wonder can see we don't have enough cash to operate this season. Estimates of losses of £500k per month.

I actually like that, it's bold, it's ambitious, it's different maybe not man for man but we can't go having guys on £8/10/12k a week sitting on the bench when we don't have 2 pennies to rub together. McCulloch and Daly will be certain starters. No doubt about that. Clark and the kids will most likely be the ones missing out.
-
So the board want £8m. King says he has between 30 and 50 sitting there, they should call his bluff.

Scottish FA considers move from Hampden Park
Super Cooper replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
We can thank David Murray for this, failed to match wee Bonnets ambition thinking 50000 was all we needed when Celtic were skipping past us a business. I have always said, whether we can fill it or not, we need a similar or larger capacity to them. For stature and financially. -
2 cruciates, averaged 15 games a season in the last 10 years. Diabolical signing. Lazy even.
-
I don't remember that mate. I just remember him telling us he was a Celtic fan. He said he used to wear his Celtic top under his Rangers one when he was a kid but not sure if he was noising us up or not. It didn't take him long to change anyway. He was as blue as they come by the mid 90's.

My brother in law was his best pal when they were kids, he grew up in the next close to Charlie. Miller was a wee tim as a kid yes. Full blown blue nose now though! I used to hang about the same area as him when i was a kid and he was at Rangers, i would be playing football and he would be drinking cans of lager! Ha

Ian Murray most likely yeah. Not good news for us in all honesty.
