  1. He was one of the best players in the Premiership last season.
  2. He was Chelsea's best player and scored 17 goals from out wide.
  3. Thanks FS - can't believe Neymar gave up burgers.
  4. Was hovering between 2-2 and 2-1. My head said it would be 2-1 USA but I had this gut instinct it might be 2-2. Ghana have some decent players and the US squad is nothing special. If I'd gone for 2-1 I'd be top. I have shot up the rankings after predicting a draw between Iran and Nigeria.
  5. Who else can we sign that in a year's time guarantees 20 goals in the SPL? Ally would probably need about £20m to find such a player. In 04/05 Boyd scored 32 goals in the SPL alone. If we don't have Boyd we will probably be playing Daly or some dead beat 35 year old from the dregs of English football who struggles to get 5 goals. If we were signing crap like Jeffers, Ostenstad, Maniero, Ashikodi, Beattie etc when we had some money, one wonders what we would get now.
  6. It was me who commented on it. Care to point out a single grammatical error I made?
  7. But surely if he renewed a contract in a company he is a shareholder in, their business relationship would not be severed.
  8. "Indeed Mr Irvine and I severed our business relationship on August 2013, when Mr Irvine renewed his contract with Rangers Football Club"
  9. Forgot to do the Ivory Coast came and I was predicting it to be 2-1 !!!!
  10. C'est la vie. At least the work one I can't change....always stick to the gut instinct.
  11. Oh also, Italy have not won a match in almost a year!
  12. There is three possible results here tonight. 0-0, 1-1 or 2-1 Italy. England have a weak squad but Italy are far from their best, though the likes of Rossi and Pirlo should see them easily controlling the midfield. Defensively they are very strong too. With Balotelli up top you don't know what you are getting. Was terrific at the Euro's, mediocre at City, phenominal initially for Milan but has been dreadful for 6 months. England do have quite an attacking team, you never know what will happen.
  13. I really, really hate the Easdales. Am I allowed to say that?
  14. I remember Hemdani getting a fair amount of hate on FF and RM though that's not surprising given the quality of the clientèle. I agree he was excellent, phenomenal against Lyon. One argument I have seen is that Hemdani is so poor that he couldn't find a club after us. As if he couldn't have found a club if he wanted to. Any SPL team outside the old firm for a start would have given their left nut for him if they had the wages. As for anyone managing 3 or 4 yard passes, try telling that to the teams we have had under Walter in his second spell and Ally. We rarely seem to manage more than 2 passes at the best of times! We will agree to disagree here, I guess we are not always going to completely agree on everything !
  15. When Pirlo or Xavi pass the ball sideways they are applauded for their ball retention skills. When Ferguson did it he got criticism because it's not the done thing in Scotland. In England with Rovers I'm pretty sure he got the record man of the matches on the trot. He was doing pretty well until a collision with Speed dislocated his knee cap. At Birmingham as I said previously, he had the best pass completion in the Premiership. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1323450/Barry-Ferguson-pass-master.html PS - You say his shooting was very poor but he scored 18 goals in 02/03
  16. What nonsense! He was a fantastic talent, particularly in the 02/03 when he scored a tonne of goals as well. He was a complete midfielder, dictated the pace of games, had superb technique and an excellent array of passing.
