    Cowdenbeath were in the paper, three weeks prior to any squad announcements, saying that it would be off, so the plan had already been intimated to them at that point. Fatigue will be used to excuse a loss, a draw or even a poor performance before the season is out. Also, this notion that games would need to be played because of a precedent is absolute nonsense.

    Neither did I, but it sums up my feelings towards him, and very little of it is to do with him being a poor manager. That was patently obvious even before he got handed the job, so it has come as no surprise.

    I see McCoist can find his 'off-field' tongue when it suits him. Even as a player, he was never a favourite of mine, but he really has become a detestable individual these past few years. He will do or say anything, as long as it puts a coin in his pocket.

    Aye, which makes it all the more damning. The BBC were conducting a survey into the costs involved in being a spectator, not an undercover exposé. I find it par for the course that Rangers were the one club which failed to respond. The only question which remains is whether that was due to the cloak of secrecy which it works under, the complete disregard it has for any issues which involves it's customers, or simply because it is being run using a skeleton staff due to the financial mess that has been created by a succession of crooks, thieves and fraudsters. But aye, the BBC set out to sully our name.

    Up until now, you have been calling for them all to be starved out. Now, that your chosen saviour is rumoured to have done a deal with them, the future is looking great. Will you be leading campaigns to get everyone buying tickets and merchandise if it all comes about?

    It most certainly does not suit everyone. King could have come aboard at a far earlier stage than this if principles are of no consequence, so if he now decides to jump into bed with Ashley, he can get to fuck as well. Furthermore, if any proposed joint venture is given the backing by any of the fan groups, it will show them up for the opportunistic, power-hungry vessels that they have been accused of being.

    I said at the time that they were being deliberately being fed duff information as it didn't tally up. Looks like I may have been correct.

    That is not a proper answer as it suggests that those who have control have no other contingencies. Do you seriously believe that they have planned all this just to meekly give in at the first hint of trouble?

    Everything about the CL is geared up to nigh on guarantee that the biggest leagues fill the places in the latter stages. The introduction of FFP, heralded as a way to curb the big spenders, strengthens that even further. Only Portugal or Russia have an outside chance of toppling the big boys.
