They can be disappointed -- I was disappointed too, although mostly with the result -- but it's a stretch to say that the second tie was "similarly concerning" as that first tie.

Really? Tavernier missed a penalty, and we had two goals chopped off for offside, wrongly. We should have battered them. Very little concerned me about the home tie.

I'd like to see us make the foul when they break. A couple of times we've had an opportunity to bring the guy down, but let him go. Not yellow worthy tackles, but a little nudge, or niggle.

Sky Sport News: Alfredo Morelos has turned down a £30M move to Chinese Super League Club Heibei Fortune. The £30M relates to how much the player would earn, on a three year deal. Sky Sports suggest the Chinese Club were willing to match Rangers' valuation, believed to be in excess of £15M. Sky Sports also stated that Morelos has until 5pm tonight (when the Chinese transfer window closes) to make the transfer happen.

I thought £4M was unrealistic when you mentioned it the first time. I'm surprised at £20M, though!

The part about the deep 8s was really well developed. A few have questioned why we need 'three sitting midfielders', and this answers it: they're not 'sitting midfielders'; they allow for us to control the centre, break the press, play through teams, and control possession.

I think that's spot-on. I'd like to see Stewart, though.

I'd say from the preseason games, Candeias has been the best 'wide man' - if you want to call them that, which is not quite correct. Stewart looks classy. I think he'll be a good signing. Jones and Ojo have shown flashes of what they can do, but not consistently. I think both will be useful this season. Hastie looks like he'll be loaned; he looks short of what's required. Arfield is still first choice for those positions, imo.

Full-time, 1-0. Well--from what I saw of the second half, I thought we were much the better team. Kamara was good, Docherty was everywhere, Katic got stuck in, and Morelos was hungry. I thought Polster was good in that DM role - we've not seen him there before. How did Helander do? I missed the first half.

Morelos has twice put it on a plate for Ojo, but he wastes the opportunity by trying to do too much.

Kamara got caught on the ball the first minute of the second half, almost leading to a goal, but since then he's been brilliant. He regained possession numerous times. I think it's because he's kept it simple. Davis also gave it away on a couple of occasions. I think we've been well on top. Polster playing DM has been quite assured, albeit safe. Ojo should have scored, being played through one on one, but his shot is saved. Katic powers a header in from the resulting corner.

From what I've heard - haven't been able to see it, yet - we've played well. Docherty, Jones and Defoe seemed to be most lively.
