  1. That's pretty much the Europa League won then. Excellent draw, but we need to do the business.
  2. If there is no link to Rangers, then I think it's pointless. You're free to do as you wish, however.
  3. I'd have Olympiakos above both Feyenoord and Bordeaux. Tough draw, either way.
  4. You've posted the same thing about three times. It's pointless naming players across Europe that you think are good.
  5. I don't think any have that anymore; or at least very few.
  6. I think Kent will bring that. Of course, Barker has done 'well' for Hibs and so has experience in this league, but then Kent has done 'well' for Barnsley in the Championship. I don't think they are risks in what they bring (pace, dribbling etc), but they are both a risk in whether they can do it for us, against the common opposition set-ups we face.
  7. I'm pleased with this signing. We're short in attacking options, and this guy is a tricky winger who can take people on.
  8. Lets see if this works: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=lionel+messi&rlz=1CATAAB_enGB634GB634&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiW8uLbsbLcAhXCT8AKHezhDvsQ_AUICygC&biw=1366&bih=627#imgrc=6N-2dOvgqNAcmM:
  9. According to Transfermarkt Arfield had a Calf strain that kept him out of the last 10 matches of last season; but that seems to be the only injury he's had in the last 3-4 years.
  10. Perhaps for a few 100k, but not really, no.
  11. The Freiburg one doesn't bother me, because that's a big step up for any youngster, to play in the Bundesliga. The Bristol City one could be a problem, but I suspect it would've been hard to break into a tight-knit side doing well. He was successful at Barnsley the year before in the Championship, though. We can only wait and see.
  12. I think it's unusual in the UK for clubs to loan out so many players, but it's quite common in Italy, for example. Teams like Juventus loan players out for several years before they are ready to make first-team appearances for Juventus. They identify the talent and, as they can't develop them in their first-team, for obvious reasons, they loan them out. It makes sense. There is perhaps a line, though. Chelsea seemed like they were hoarding players, without really knowing whether they were ever good enough. It's something we should be doing -- if the budget allows, of course.
  13. I don't know much about Kent, other than some have said he's a tricky, two-footed winger with a bit of pace. On paper it sounds good; we need more options up front. We need another forward and central creative player too.
  14. I hope so; he looked fired up afterwards. I'm sure there's many a fan who would step in to provide such a service...
  15. Real battle of wits here...
  16. That's not a paper...
  17. Waghorn was never a great finisher, but he was a good forward. We should've kept him before Garner et al, but I recall many were pleased that he'd left. I hate how we undervalue our players -- some think Windass is worth under £1m, which is ludicrous; even if you don't like him, like Waghorn, doesn't mean he's worthless. How much did we get for Waghorn?
  18. Certainly one of the best 'keepers in the world. Klopp is spending the money, but strengthening their weakest areas.
  19. We're clearly lacking quality in the final third, but that was a well-controlled game.
  20. Thanks for seeing the positives. I thought he did well. I actually thought, 'right -- here's a game where they can't blame him for the usual tripe that comes his way', but no; it was the same 'criticisms' wheeled-out.
  21. That's quite a segue. #ShugForChairman
  22. Kenny, sure, -- I saw he picked himself for his first game at Livingstone -- but the rest looked 'decent' at the time, or at least a step up on what we had. Hindsight is 20/20.
  23. You're just making stuff up now. "Awful team player"? He works his socks off making runs in behind for his teammates; he's constantly moving. "Pretty boy"? Yes... "Hides"? I think the word is wrong, but he does go missing in games sometimes; that's not always down to him. "Wee tricks"? I don't recall him ever doing any tricks. If by tricks you mean goals and assists, then long may it continue. You could also ask, what is it that FOUR managers have seen, that the expert, 'Shug fae glesga', has not? I think i'd trust a manager over Shug.
  24. Who's the alternative to Cooper? (I'm not clicking the link.) We all thought the Ings rumour was unlikely, simply because of his value.
  25. I wouldn't want to dehumanise him...
