  1. No... it was a peach of a pass. He's done it before, I think? Doesn't fit the narrative that he's s****, I suppose; there were still people moaning that he did it.

  3. There's been an improvement under PC, but we're hitting a brick wall with these players.
  4. Some excellent scores this round! Everyone who entered -- except compo -- gained 1 point for the Correct Result. Rousseau, Whosthedado, rbr, BEARGER, Frankie, BH, 26th, TB, PJ_1872, SBS, StuGers, Gribz, Barebear, lenny3k, Gaffer, laudrup11 and Dave M609 gaining another 1 point for the Correct Number of Rangers Goals. Rousseau, cooponthewing, Frankie, TB, compo, Mack1950 and Dave M609 gained 2 points for Garner as FGS. And finally, rbr, Frankie, BH, 26th, TB, PJ_1872, SBS and Dave M609 gained 3 points for the Correct Score! Frankie, TB and debutant Dave M609 gained full points for the round. It's really tightening up at the top of the table with 2 games to go! Latest Standings: IFRAME Not Available. Direct Link to Spreadsheet. 5. Lightweight all round. What a useless set of players.
  6. Oh well, that's probably why PC doesn't want us to control the ball a bit: we're lightweight in midfield.
  7. Is that the first time PC has not made numerous changes at half-time? Must be happy.
  8. That goal was superb too: crisp passing out of defense, attacking/breaking with pace, a cross into the box and a terrific diving header from Garner. 2 points coming my way!!
  9. We've played well, but I'd have liked to have seen us control the ball a bit more; we've been attacking, but it just gives them control of the ball quicker. We have control now, but it's taken a sending off. I like the directness; we've been quite good at creating chances. Windass looks much better further forward, and Garner has been excellent. Toral's passing ability in DM has been crucial too.

  11. There looks to be quite a nice balance to our team today. Windass looks to be in the No.10 role, which will suit him more.
  12. I don't know why it's taken me quite so long to realise, but it really is either black or white with SBS. From thinking Conte was a poor choice, he's not that good to "greatest manager in the world". I always thought Conte was a brilliant Manager right from his Juventus days, with his tactical nous, to his Italian side which was really impressively drilled considering they had an average squad -- and I'm delighted for him and Chelsea -- but he's got a long way to go to being considered the greatest.
  13. Rangers 2 - 0 Hearts FGS Garner
  14. Back to the theme of the thread: Allegedly, we are interested in Motherwell's Ben Heneghan? Considering Motherwell have conceded more shots than anyone else this season it doesn't look too good, but that doesn't mean to say this guy is the problem; also, having Jaap Stam -- one of the best defenders in the game -- interested suggests he has something about him? Pinch of salt?
  15. I wouldn't mind us going down the Shaktar Donetsk route and sign loads of brazilians to play up front, with a spine of British players. Hopefully Pedro has a few contacts...
  16. He's only half-way decent when he's in a compact system, with FB's tucked in and 4/5 compact midfielders in front of him. We don't/can't play that way.
  17. Clint's leaving? Good professional; I wish him well.
  18. Pete -- was there not a popular outcry for a younger coach, rather than the old tried-and-tested? I was expecting someone younger, fresher, but you can't get any more tried-and-tested than Dick!
  19. It was a straightforward 4-3-3, albeit with a few players playing in different roles - Windass and Miller were playing quite deep.
  20. Awww... shame.
  21. Exactly; 4 clean-sheets in his 7 games. The last time we kept a clean-sheet was January. And that's with Bates and Beerman in the back-four.
