I don't think it is re-reffing the game. Beaton missed a clear and obvious foul, so was correctly advised to go to the screen. It's a tough one to take, but ultimately I think it's the correct decision. If the ball had gone "dead" then we scored, it's different argument in my opinion. The VAR team correctly identified another clear and obvious error from Beaton and again correctly got him to review the Silva "dive" and he then rightly awarded us a penalty.

I would sat, out of all the defence, Tav is last one that needs replaced. 2 x left backs are the priority, then 2 centre backs as Davies, Balogun and Goldson (in that order) need to be moved on

Watch the highlights (5mins in)- he has two attempts to tackle / clear the ball and fails both times. Then Butland let's the ball squirm under him. Both equally at fault.

I honestly think the loss of the 3rd goal was worse than the 1st but both a comedy of errors. The 1st goal could he described as a "fluke" but no denying Tav could and should have done better, but not solely to blame for the goal. The 3rd goal, straight after equalising was criminal and Sterling and Butland both equally to blame. There is no denying that Tav and Goldson are nearing the end of their Rangers careers and both are going to be difficult to replace. I think we urgently require two new centre-halves, 2 new left backs as well as a right back that we can use to slowly phase Tav out.

Tough one this week - went for Dessers as thought he gave a good account of himself over the entire 90mins. Don't thinknany other player could say the same.

So many poor performances in the 1st half. People picking out individuals, where it was the collective performance that was so bad / frustrating. I would say only Dessers got pass marks in the opening 45mins. The starting 11 was questionable, as we had no ballance or width, the press was all wrong, mid-field was missing and our wide players were too narrow. For once, our keeper looked suspect and shaky but did pull off a few decent saves. 2nd half was better, especially with Sima, Matondo and Cantwell on, we actually looked a threat. We got ourselves back level, then Sterling and Butland contrived to hand Celtic the lead again. Hat's off to Matondo for his incredible equaliser. All in all a hugely frustrating day, an opportunity to get our noses in front but can't help feel the team selection and then the woeful collective 1st half performance ultimately cost us 3 points today.

Oh, I agree 100% and maybe worded it incorrectly. However, football fans are fickle and some in our support will still ask questions if we lose tomorrow. Its inevitable. Clement has somehow managed to get us in a position where the destiny of the league title is in our own hands. It could be argued that its down to Celtic regressing (they have) but we are in pole position. A defeat tomorrow hands them a huge advantage and vice versa. Crucial for short and medium term that we win tomorrow in my opinion. Lose and we're back to square one. As for investment, its crucial Clement gets his own players in and the board must do everything in their power to assist. However, automatic qualification to the CL will make investment a lot easier.

Great article / post Frankie. The simple truth is that since Gerrard left, we have been unable to beat them on a consistent basis. This has to change, starting on Sunday. I believe PC has plenty credit in the bank for the way he has started, but it's undeniable that if we lose again on Sunday, questions will be asked. Whilst everyone involved will say that Sundays result won't determine the destination of the league title, it's hard to believe that we'll win the league of we fail to win on Sunday. PC has came up with the answers more often than not, but Sunday is vital, it's simply a must win, no other result will do (or some will say, acceptable). My heart says we have a great chance on Sunday, but my head and recent results say we are in for a long 90 minutes on Sunday (hoping and praying that heart wins over head).

Thought Tav, Dessers and Dio were the pick of our players and gone with Tav as recognition for becoming the all time leading scorer for a defender in the UK. 1 more goal he he enters the top 20 of all-time Rangers goal scorers.
