  1. As did better players than them - what a your point? When was the last time a Rangers team "showed up" in the Champions League? We are miles away from being a Champions League team and have been for decades sadly.
  2. And an opinion that clearly clouds your judgement of the player. BTW it is OK to change your opinion
  3. Really, how's that? Why has ever manager since Warberton had him as Captain? Maybe they know more about his leadership qualities than me or you?
  4. Ah so that's how importance to a team is measured? It's not goals or assists? It's not being a leader? It's not being an influence to teammates? It's wether other teams are "lining up to buy you". Glad you know who is and who isn't in demand, you Ross Wilson? Or just reading the tripe the press print?
  5. He didn't have an assist or a goal yesterday either so maybe you are on to something. Time he was dropped and stripped of the captaincy.
  6. Not on form but Id play the U18/Colts but that's not gonna happen.
  7. So even when having a "stinker", Tav still contributes offensively and therefore helps get wins or draws? Not a bad trait to have. I'd have a player like that in my team every day of the week..... oh, wait......
  8. He can only play players registered in the Europa League squad, so there will be changes but not wholesale changes.
  9. Most ludicrous thing I've read on a forum in years (and that's saying something). Have you even watched us over the last 2 or 3 season? Or listened to players and managers (including Patterson) saying how Tav is a huge influence and a leader.
  10. Never said he was un-droppable, no player is. There is no reason to suggest Patterson who'd be any better defensively or offensively than Tav so replacing one with another is a gamble. Are you suggesting Patterson wouldn't have any bad games? Is that based on any evidence. Tav is our longest serving Captain since Richard Gough. He has consistently delivered for Rangers, never hidden, very rarely been injured and his stats are on a other planet. Just our luck that the (potentially) best product out of our academy since Barry Ferguson plays the same position as our club captain and most potent player in our team. Also, can never get my head round those who don't see Tavs importance to the team.
  11. Why rest or drop the league's most potent offensive threat? Makes no sense whatsoever.
  12. But Tav is contributing more than Kent and Davis. Top assists in the league and 3 goals. His offensive stats make him out most potent threat so yeah, let's rest / drip him.
  13. Yeah it was and after watching the highlights his block from Alfie just before half-time was like watching Greegs in his prime. Thought at the game that it was a bad miss but it was a brilliant block.
  14. Did you see the 3rd goal? Alfie back to rag-dolling defenders 😀 He did miss a couple of sitters today tho!
  15. Very dominant performance and you can see Gio's slight changes. We are not throwing as many men forward until we are camped in the opposions final 3rd which doesn't leave us as exposed if we lose the ball. If we had been more clinical and / or taken the correct choices, we would have run up a cricket score.
  16. Bad defeat for Chelsea as added with draw in midweek, pulls them back into the pack. Huge win for Hammers tho.
  17. Just need to be more clinical in front of goal. Arfield passing when he should have shot, Sakala shouting when he should have passed and Alfie passing up two sitters. Weird goal, happened right in front of me and still don't know how it went in!
  18. Rangers 3 v 0 Dundee Hagi FGS
  19. Yup there should have been no need for VAR for either decision. Both clear as day. Beaton got out penalty 100% correct, linesman at Parkhead got their goal 100% wrong. However with VAR, their "goal" is ruled out.
  20. We never really replaced Jim Denny eirher, or Cammy Fraser...😀
  21. Unfortunately we were. Rangers now, then and forever......
  22. But it's the past that is hindering and impacting our future. It's a minor miracle that we've gotten back to the top on Scottish Football. We have had 1 shot at CL and we were well short. That wasn't a surprise to me. We held our own in Europa League but fell short when we played "top tier" opponents. This is nothing new, we've fallen short in Europe for decades with a few notable exceptions. There is no magic wand, no easy fix, we have to win the league to have best opportunities to get access to the CL money so we have to concentrate domestically first and foremost. We simply can't win every game 5 or 6 nil, playing expansive football, it just didn't happen. Said after the game on Wednesday I would happily take 1-0 wins in every game between now and end if season. Deep down, we all would.
