Huge missed opportunity. We should have appointed a SG type manager back then who'd have taken us through the league's whilst building a squad. Instead we signed players who'd struggle to get a game in the juniors. Ally was and still is a hero but we were too loyal to him back then. He was never management material. Let's not forget and this is no exaggeration, our enemies tried to kill us off back then. They failed, but we took a hell of a kicking. We have one team who had free access to a decades worth of CL money, sponsorship etc, yet somehow we have managed to overtake them and won 55. A miracle really, stuff of folklore but still not good enough for some fans.

3rd December 2014 - Alloa Athletic 3 v 2 Rangers. 55 and European football felt a lifetime away after that game. Puts a 1-0 away win at Easter Road into perspective.

Yup, and some of our fans expect us just to magically win every game we play 4 or 5 nil no matter who it is against. If we don't, we're a "pub team" or players are terrible and past it. I had the pleasure or watching Gazza and Laudrup who would have gotten in most CL teams, yet even with them we were constantly hammered in the CL.

Off course we're miles off being a CL team. Where have you been since 2011/2012? Oh and for the record, we've been miles of being a CL team since 1992/1993 with 1 or 2 exceptions. How are we to suddenly turn into a team that constantly gets access to CL money? Winning the league of course, so being top of the SPFL is an indication as if we don't win the league, we don't get to CL - quite simple really. Have you looked at how our European coefficient has increased over the last 3 or 4 years? If it wasn't for our victories and runs in Europa League, we wouldn't be gaining automatic qualification to the CL group stages and the £30M that would guarantee us. Some Rangers fans do need a reality check. Maybe go on Rangers Archives and watch is struggle in the lower leagues, watch Motherwell embarrass us home and away in the play off final, watch Raith Rovers beat us in the Ratners Cup Final (or whatever it was called). Then look at where we are now despite having no money to spend - it's night and fucking day.

Yeah a pub team who are currently 7 points clear, scored most goals in league, defending champions and qualified from their EL group with a game to spare. There must be some very decent pub teams down your way (or you're overreacting).

Really? Anyway if we were offered a 1-0 win prior to kick off we'd all have taken it. On to Dundee and I'd gladly take a 1-0 win right now. In fact I'd take 1-0 wins in all our remaining games. Another stat, given our rivals have been praised for their expansive, open and entertaining attacking football, we've actually scored more goals than them. Weird eh....

How were we lucky? We dominated all aspects of the game, had more attacking play, stopped Hibs from making clear cut chances and controlled the game for large periods. Off course we can do better and sure we will. However if we win the league, nobody will look back and say "by feck we are lucky to win the league, mind the midweek game at Easter Road". Conversely, we might look back at it as one of the results that won the league.

Our keeper has not had a save to make, clean sheet, we've had 14 shots (4 on target), 60% possession, 78% pass accuracy, won at one of toughest away grounds (unbeaten there in 8), and 3 more points on the board. Aye, must do better.
