  1. Standard fans do more booing than St Boo fans ?
  2. Decent performance so far when you factor in the quality of the opposition. They have a brilliant home record in Europe, not an easy place to go and win. A lot of work still to do, more of the same 2nd half please.
  3. Comedy Gold on Phone-in tonight ?
  4. Can you only vote once? ? Voted for Glenn Kamara as he was outstanding. However, could easily have voted for Goldson or Helander. No failures in the team or the subs that came on.
  5. Couple of interesting points from Saturday ; - not one of our summer signings started the game. - If Celtic hadn't insisted in getting the game moved back to October (assuming they'd have fans in attendance - accommodated by the "random" fixture generator) then they'd have had a fully fit squad to pick from ?
  6. Another notable takeaway from yesterday was the strength of our bench ; McLaughlin - International Bassey - young, promising full back Balogun - International Hagi - International Aribo - International Jack - International Defoe - ex-International Itten - International Jones - International Jack, Hagi, Jones and McLaughlin probably count themselves unlucky not to be in starting 11. Also no place in squad for Edmunson and Stewart and Roofe / Katic still injured.
  7. Interesting quote from Calum McGregor regarding yesterday's game : “Credit to Rangers as they changed their game-plan. Every week we see them with their two full-backs really high but they sat in and protected the middle of the pitch.“They did their homework as well and we have to be honest in that sense.”
  8. Said it earlier in the season we have tweaked our system and it is less reliant on Alfie both in getting goals and leading the line. IMO this has affected him a little as he is no longer the main man, the goto man for a goal. However, his petulant slap apart, he did fine yesterday. He stood up to the physicality and made Duffy look like a player from the juniors. As others have said, his link up play was superb and was heavily involved in the lead-up to the 2nd goal.
  9. Listen to Neil McCann (and I can't believe I'm typing this) and Michael Stewart analysis on Sportscene. They perfectly detail how Rangers made Celtic look abject, and how we play a system that all the players are comfortable in. Whilst given recent chasings we've given them, Celtic are trying new systems that doesn't suit their players. Neil McCann summed it up perfectly - we totally negated them, were in completely control without having to be "outstanding". If we had opened up and chased more goals, that would have been Celtics only chance to get back into the game. We managed the 94mins perfectly. We surrendered the ball in their half, didn't go for the quick press and were happy with them knocking the ball about in their own half. Masterful tactical performance which may have not been the high octane play we are used to, but it worked an absolute treat. Seriously, enjoy the victory, enjoy the aftermath and maybe watch it again to appreciate how good a performance it was.
  10. Yet no arrests? Wonder why? Breaking Covid restrictions?
  11. That was most one-sided victory at The Towers for many a year. We dominated from start to finish and executed our game plan to perfection. Goldson MOTM but Glenn Kamara was outstanding and totally bossed the midfield. We must now capitalise on this and drive home our advantage. Enjoy the remainder of the weekend troops ?⚪??????????
  12. Hatrick on for the big man
  13. Agreed Ian. It was a nothing slap but it was needless and luckily the officials missed it. However expect a retrospective ban as someone will have woken up the compliance officer
  14. Barker has won the ball in good areas and set up Kent early on. Think his pace and energy will help as game goes on
  15. Get Alfie off before he gets sent off! Ban coming for that slap
  16. Maybe why he was "rested" on Sunday v Ross County?
  17. Don't shoot the messanger - don't know how reliable this account is
  18. He is a free agent so we (or any other club) can still sign him. A respected West Ham tweeter suggested last night that we are interested. For what it's worth, don't think we'll make a move but stranger things have happened
  19. All in all a decent window with some good additions and our better players staying. We still have Roofe and Aribo to return from injury and now have decent options all over the pitch.
  20. Juan Guy, £30 software, someone pretending to be a Celtic fan, separate entity.... take your pick
