  1. Any manager with an ounce of knowledge of the Scottish / British game will know of defenders who'll not cost the earth. Walter Smith done it with Davie Weir and Ugo Ehiogu. I think Moyes will take what is on offer. He said in the interview I posted that he doesn't want another "relegation battle". He's not getting a top job in the EPL. As I said, I don't think we'll get him, but if we aren't sounding him out, the board (new CEO) are not doing their jobs.
  2. Of course, but there is levels of "gamble". Moyes knows the league, he knows what Rangers means and he is "old school" manager. He'd ruffle few feathers and that's what we need at the moment. The question we have to ask ourselves is would he, or any other potential candidate be better than the current incumbent. In my opinion Moyes would definitely be better than Clement as would Muscat. But as I said above, we'll (board and fans) keep making excuses for not replacing Clement whilst we continue to regress. By not changing manager, we are left with nothing more than a tiny sliver of hope that things might improve under Clement whether that takes 1, 2 or 3 years. Utterly depressing.
  3. Some fans said the same about Walter Smith's style of football, especially in his 2nd spell (I'm not one of them). However it was what we needed at the specific time and we went on to win 3 titles in a row. I don't think we'd be able to entice Moyes to Ibrox, but it has to be worth asking the question. Muscat would be another gamble, but certainly wouldn't be ruling him out. His contract is due to expire (so no compensation required) but believe there is a year option and other clubs sniffing around. However, it don't think the club will move for either and we're stuck with Clement for the foreseeable, which fills me with dread.
  4. Wonder if Patrick still has this guys number on his phone?
  5. To be fair, we're that bad, folk are voting for Ridvan as MotM😀 He did start of well but just my opinion, he was found out in Europe and in OF game. That's bound to happen as he is still inexperienced at this level. Raskin is showing great levels at the moment and as is Diomande (not as consistent as required) so Barron will need await his chance when it arrives.
  6. He does seem to have slipped down the pecking order recently. Wonder if he can play RB or CB.....??...
  7. Tribunal order us to pay Aberdeen £600K for Connor Barron. Handy....
  8. https://x.com/4ladshadadream/status/1874095771798429973?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1874095771798429973|twgr^7f64093f3ceabd07ad4fc5a10500422d2203e6d3|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.followfollow.com%2Fforum%2Fthreads%2Ftavernier-out-for-a-few-weeks.289670%2F
  9. We're certain win then? Defence looks horrific - Butland, Sterling, Propper alongside an unfit Balogun or hopless King and Jefte left back.
  10. If he has a bad injury record, he's an ideal fit......bring him home......
  11. Graeme and Douglas Park could ref the game and I'd doubt it would make any difference 🤔 😀
  12. Agree with most of that. Butland v Kelly - said before I believe Kelly was signed as a Butland replacement, we just didn't receive the bids we were expecting. Sterling - never fit enough to get a sustained run in the team so can't be relied on to be even a short term replacement for Tav. Tav - been a good servent but his time is up. However, currently nobody better than him to play RB. Ridvan - injury prone, ineffective and another huge waste of money. Propper - the Dutch Ben Davies.
  13. Still waiting for the ball to return to earth's atmosphere from his (Danilo) shot in injury time.
  14. Ban whoever voted for Ridvan. Not that it ruined a 100% but the fact they voted for Ridvan 😀
  15. Was going to vote Igamane............ Only real option after another bad overall performance
  16. Another ex-Man U employee making their way to Ibrox. Not a centre-half unfortunately.
  17. When will fans realise the season ticket waiting list is a fable? When was the last time we had a sell-out at Ibrox domestically? We couldn't sell out our league cup semi-final allocation either. This wouldn't happen if there were 10,000 people waiting for an opportunity to watch Rangers. The waiting list is used by the board to force season ticket holders to renew. If we finish the season 20+ points behind Celtic, and Clement is still at the helm, I think we'll see a drop off in attendances (which we are already witnessing). I don't think I'll be renewing, I'll just pick and chose which games I want to attend and pick up tickets accordingly.
  18. But unfortunately, those are the exceptions to the rule. I think most of us got over excited after beating Killie 6-0, drawing with Spurs and ultimately losing (for various reasons) the league Cup final. It appears we have now reverted to type.
  19. It's about both. Currently we don't have a manager that's capable of putting a competitive team together and we don't have the board capable of finding the required investment to get financial stability (they got us into this mess quite easily though). Perfect storm.
  20. Guys, sensing a bit of negativity on here tonight. Let's take a step back and put this in perspective. The project was always going to take time. What we need more than anything is some patience and realism. It's not as if things are dire, 14 points behind, worst away record for decades, players saying they're too tired to play, bo sign of any free flowing structured football, cohesion, or consistency of selection and a manager who clearly doesn't know what he's doing. Trust the board, trust the manager and trust the project.
  21. So after Celtic it's Hibs away. You have to wonder when our next victory will come.
  22. No need to edit when quoting me for no other reason than trolling. I stick by my description.
