Match Thread [FT] Rangers 3 - 0 Dundee (we now face Motherwell in semi-final)

Agreed, we'll need to keep our better players fit and playing most weeks. But just as important will be PC deciding what is best 11 is and sticking with it for a large percentage of our games. -
I hope Hearts appoint Neil Lennon, it's the appointment their fans deserve.

I have repeatedly said he's not what we require, if that's not calling him out, I don't know ow what is. He's not what's required but he's what we have and he scores goals. I gave the exame of Kris Boyd who wasn't great against Celtic, but we still beat them with him in the team. Other players contributed back then, but now we are over-relient on Dessers. Good luck finding another 20+ goal stirker given the financial mess we find ourselves in (and that isn't Dessers fault either). -

We were but unless I'm mistaken he's part of a team? And can't a point about one player be expanded? #threadpolis #tomaturetoinsertmeme -

It would nice to see the whole team play well against Celtic or are you holding Dessers to different standards and expectations? # troll -

Maybe due to the late decision to have the bottom section open, but Copland Front looked under utilised other than the UB section (which was strangly "lop-sided"). -

Not good enough for some though. First it was we want a 20+ goal a season striker. Along came Dessers and it was, aye but not him. Now it's, it's all fine and well scoring 20+ goals a season, but we want him to score the 20+ goals in different games. They've made their mind up about him, they'll never change and Dessers, not matter what he does won't be good enough for them. -

But we will struggle to gey someone who'll do what you want. Who do you suggest we sign that will score 20+ goals a season including winners in every OF game? -

I'll tell you a little story regarding LS and its up to you if you believe it. Allegedly we did bib for LS on the final day of this transfer window. It was what could be described as a "low ball offer" and Hearts quickly rejected it. However, LS knew about the offer and was determined to make the move, but powerless to make it happen. Fast forward to this season and LS started it on the bench (wonder why) but with SN desperate to save his job, he's turned to LS to save him. LS is going through the motions and no more. All "aledged" as no firm source but thought I'd share what I was told. -

Baseless post, something else you complained about. Your (and others) troll-like posts / replies to certain other posters make it hard work on here at times. But I suppose that's life on social media no wonder many are giving up on it. -

Weren't you the one who wanted Clement to do the exact same thing to force payers to move on (including Dessers). Sure if you search back you'll find you did. I can't be arsed as you'll wiggle and move on to something else. As an example, I'm still waiting on you telling me how much revenue NEH has brought in. -

He didn't want to leave, but the manager said he was happy to have him. Said he was happy to have anyone who wanted to be here and shows the attributes required. If Clement didn't want Dessers he'd currently be sitting it out along with Hagi. -

Isn't it ironic that the poster (let you guess who) who posts repetitive posts slated a poster for being reparative. I think we all agree Dessers isn't the ideal number 9 but he's what we've got. The manager who we are all backing chose not to sell him (assuming he had reasons for that) and stick with him, an injured Danilo and an untested Igamane. You can post as many times as you want about you wanting him gone in 10 transfer windows, but until the manager sells him, or someone offers us a lot of money for him, he's here. Dessers contribution will be judges on his ability to score goals and he has done that and continues to do that. Maybe if others stepped up and took some of the burden off him, we'd be in a better place. We are skint, we have little option to replace platers in transfer windows and some want rid of not only our top scorer but our only consistent goal scorer. -

He sits in back row of Copland Front near the main stand. Phoned me about it after the game last night. -

Because you mentioned them..... Go grab a can of ginger and chill. Maybe put on some old videos of Gazza and Laudrup, might relax you a wee bit. -

And you'll have to replace Dessers with someone who'll score more goals than him. That should be easy 20+ goals as season strikers are ten-a-penny and you can pick them up for peanuts -

Really, Boyd played against them a fair few times under Walter. What he did have was teammates who could handle playing against Celtic and we didn't rely on him. Kenny Miller usually took care of Celtic but other players chipped in. Dessers, Tav and Souttar are the only players in our team that have scored against Celtic - says a lot. -

True, but did we struggle up front against Celtic when Boyd played against them? He certainly did, but he's got a few medals tucked away to look at in his retirement years. -

Bajrami has started 1 game and played out of position and you've written him off 🙄 Jefte was written of by a few on here after the Man U friendly, that's worked out well for them..... Cerny didn't play well today, no denying but that doesn't make him "rubbish". If your yearning for Gazza, Laudrup and the likes, your going to be seething for some considerable amount of time -

Maybe Gersnets Roberto Carlos will shock us and be fit to start.... Can't see Clement throwing Fraser in on Thursday, it'll be Sterling. -

He doesn't need to score winning goals against Celtic for the team to be successful. The term team is an indication to that. At the end of the day, the team being successful is much more important than Dessers record v Celtic - Kris Boyd and the Rangers team he played in is a prime example.
