See in any projects I've managed or been involved in, you ensure the material is on-site (or on route) before you starting ripping things apart. It's called project management for a reason. You also have contingencies in place to cover all eventualities. You also keep your customers updated and stay ahead of the narrative, not lie to them hours before having to publicly state its been delayed. Oh and to blame the project falling apart on a "big boy who ran away" would have been comical if it wasn't so serious. You can try and polish it anyway you want. This project has been shambolic and the lack of contingencies are embarrassing and most importantly, very costly. The fans can do nothing but it shouldn't stop us realising and understanding the current board are not fit for purpose. If you believe that a business who's Chairman appeared to be "shocked" and "surprised" that the club had £11M of unpaid transfer / loan fees isn't hurtling out of control? A business who have squandered untold millions (record transfer fees x 2, record season ticket sales year on year, CL and EL money, record merchandise income) aren't hurtling out of control? A business who can't employ for strategic and crucial roles (a life long fan turned us down to continue to work for St Mirren) aren't hurtling out of control? Aye, alls good in the world of Rangers and this board are steering us in the right direction right enough.

The stadium upgrade was necessary, nobody denies or argues against that. The project was shambolic from the start to its eventual completion, just like NEH before it. How much money has the complete mismanagement of the upgrade cost us? It'll run into millions. It was noticeable that due to their panic at the start of the season the board had no contingency in place for the eventuality some predicted. Actions do speak louder than words, this board offer neither. No CEO, no Head of Academy, no noticeable strategy. As I said, asleep at the wheel and the worrying fact is that the majority of fans are sleepwalking behind them as we hurtle out of control. This board either need to step-up and get the correct people in charge or they need to hand over the reigns to someone willing to make the necessary changes and appointments. The status quo can't continue, so its sh1t or get up off the pan time for the incumbents.

I may be wrong, but it's the best deal we've had since we made our our kits.

For me the embarrassing thing is only King is laying out a strategy (I understand he has to fulfil that) to take us forward. That strategy may not be what we all agree on or want to hear, but it's a strategy. The current board are asleep at the wheel. No strategy (so it appears), unsuccessful in filling crucial roles at the club, still making huge and humiliating decisions (the fact we are still a day away from our 1st real home game of the season as an example). If the current board believe they are the people to lead us forward (they may be), let's hear from them. Let's hear their strategy, let's hear their vision, let's hear how they are going to learn from the multiple mistakes they've made. Silence isn't an option any longer if they want to regain the support and more importantly the trust of the fan base (still tickets remaining for tomorrow's games tells its own story), they need to show us how we are going to restart the enthusiasm of the club, move forward and begin to win titles. Otherwise, they'd be as well closing the doors.

I've bought around 8 tops, 4 quarter zips and tracky bottoms for my lad(s) and a couple of quarter zips and hoodies for myself and have absolutely no complaints. Some of these have been bought on-line from Rangers / Castore and again no complaints regarding delivery service either. I understand others have had issues, but I can't complain about the stuff I've bought. My lads like the kit designs, I have mixed feelings in the designs but at 56 I'm not the demographic they are aiming for. Have to say the Castore / Rangers "wings" hoody I bought is probably my favourite piece of Rangers merchandise since the Adidas days.

The Rangers B alternative proposed by the Scottish FA
CammyF replied to Rousseau's topic in Rangers Chat
Does this set of accounts take int account us using their ground for B Games? We seemed to have moved from there to Cappilow and Forthbank -
Sounds like a very good deal and with Castore opening more stores (Rangers shops in Falkirk and Livingston opened recently) I can see an extension to the Castore deal as well.

About 1hr into this, really good listen IMO.

That's why pulling the B Team out of the Lowland League was a mistake. I know we were unhappy that we couldn't get promoted into the league structure but at least the players were playing competitive games on a weekly basis. A properly run youth academy with the correct people in charge is absolutely imperative. Not doing so when we were put down the divisions was one of the biggest mistakes in our recent history.

Given he's a friend of the board and was reported he'd be appointed "within 3 weeks" in August, it was seen as a 'done deal' from both sides. iiFrom.what Ive heard and read, Gillespie either changed his mind or we are no longer in a position to pay a CEO (cost cutting). More likely be the former. Either way, the optics of the 'non-appointment' aren't good.

No - just an example of someone willing to put money into a Scottish Club. His record at Brighton and USG is phenomenonal though and a business / player trading model we should be looking to replicate. A great article in The Athletic about him,. This Is great news for Hearts and would elevate them considerably.

Pennies in the grand scheme of £12M cost. But we (the fans) don't use it, and as a concert venue it's an utterly joke. A great venue but with virtually no bands book to play in it. Glasgow is a city where you can go see live music most nights all year round yet there is virtually nothing booked for NEH. I went to see a ACDC tribute band at NEH and thought it was a great venue. However the gig wasn't full / sold out.
