What like Dortmund? We've matched and beaten teams of Lyons quality and financial clout, our current squad is the worst its been since Pedro. Or are we happy our level struggling to win the SPL? Butland speaking out against the manager seems like the beginning of the end.

We said the same when we were embarrassed in the Champioms League. This (EL) is meant to be our level and we've excelled recently, bow it looks we are also out our depth at this level.

On reflection, are there any players in our team who are an upgrade on those they replaced? We have regressed drastically over the last couple of seasons and the cost cutting is certainly impacting the quality of our players.

If we need any further evidence of just how far off we are to being even a decent team, tonight was it. Woefully short in all departments including the very basics. Lyon are a very good team and looked on a different planet from us. For me Lawrence the only player in blue who looked like he should be on the same pitch as Lyon - the rest, several levels below.

He may have what it takes but so might John Souttar. I've said before the role of captain is "over-played" in modern football. We should be looking at having 11 captains / leaders on the pitch.

Can see why it was given but just further proof the "hand-ball" rule is not fit for purpose.

No real standouts and as others have said straight choice between Butland for his penalty save and Lawrence for his goal. Gone for Lawrence as it was a brilliantly executed shot beyond the keeper.

Appeared to be a lot of issues with smart cards today. Queue at TO was massive even 1hr before kick-off.

3 points and a wonderful goal from Lawrence. Other than that it was a terrible performance. Like others have said be interested to hear what the manager says about performance and selection.
