I agree with that and it is really virtually my view. if we want to climb the tree then we have to use money we can get for the players we have and need improved on. If the scouting system is working well then there must be a few Dembele's out there as well. We have to build our way to the top and not just throw cash everywhere.

I would agree with that. In fact McCrorie and Morelos are the only 2 players I would say can take us to the next level. The rest need replaced for better. That is why I said 3.5 years for John was far too long. I would have kept him on loan this season to see how he develops.

MOH said his training was crap and far too soft. Miller suggested the same and Kranjcar called him a fraud. I never had over diet that is very important but different from training methods which I meant.

I am a great adversary of doing everything with a ball. No running round a track except a cooper test every so often and just to warm up at the beginning of the training with the normal stretching. I would also have a sprint coach come in for a training a week. I think many players could run a lot faster if they learned how to.

Jock Wallace got them fitter than all other teams. Our fitness has been questionable since that sport science crap begun. It should not be that they are told to rest, they should be so knackered they only want to rest.

I wish we would get Sport Science to %%%% and get a manager\coach in that gets the players as fit as possible in the old way.

You have thrown up an interesting discussion in that: Is the half-time break an official training session or is it just a kick-around for the subs to waste the 15 minutes until the end of the break. If it is just a kick-around to waste time then I don't see what is wrong with having a tongue wag, but if they are supposed to be warming up then you are right they should have been trying harder. Personally I think it is just a casual kick-about to stretch their legs although I am not sure the clubs view on it.

Unfortunately buying a player at the price we pay there are never guarantee's he is better than a cheaper option. It is the same as buying a car between 10 year old and 20 year old. there are right bangers at 10 year old but you are buying a car from 2007 and pay a 2007 price. There are some cracking cars without rust at 20 year and in far better condition than the 2007 banger but it is a £500 car.
