  1. I have merged the 2 threads.
  2. Was anything ever said about Murray's meeting with Ashely? I can't remember hearing anything.
  3. Agree to take 50% before costs are taken off is robbery. I hope Motherwell Hibs and Rangers refuse to accept this. Let Queens go up if necessary. What I don't understand is what did these teams vote for at the acceptance meeting.
  4. Ended 3-0 to Wolfsburg. Disappointed I didn't see any pulling hair or scratching.
  5. Got it 19.204 supporters. That is probably more than the Scottish cup final will get.
  6. When is it played?
  7. Part of the reason I hung up my boots was because a 17 year old youth player collapsed at my feet and died as we were waiting for an ambulance. I was playing sweeper and he was the CH. At a corner for us I commented to him to move into the space just outside the opposition box in case he could get a shot at goal if the ball came out. He spoke back to me in a gurgle. I looked at him as I couldn't understand what he said and he collapsed. when I hear of young people dying on the football park the memory of that day comes back to haunt me. We found out later that the blood vessel to his heart had ballooned up and burst so we could never have saved him. We did try very hard. I still get emotional when I hear these things. All the strength in the world to his family.
  8. RANGERS boss Stuart McCall was today told he can silence the boo boys AND boost the Ibrox club's promotion hopes - by moving Lee McCulloch up front. Matthew Lindsay Sports Journalist Thursday 30/04/2015 Derek Johnstone reckons Stuart McCall should play Rangers skipper Lee McCulloch in a striking role against Hearts on Saturday Gers captain McCulloch was abused by his own supporters after a slip up allowed Falkirk to score in the 2-2 Ibrox draw last weekend. However, 36-year-old skipper Jig showed he was unaffected by the flak by charging up the park and very nearly bagging a vital goal. The former Scotland internationalist has played extensively up front in the past, including for his country, and finished the 2012/13 season as top Light Blues scorer. And Rangers legend Derek Johnstone reckons McCall should field the versatile star in attack during the Premiership play-off matches. The SportTimes columnist said: "When the manager put Lee up front late on when things were getting desperate he actually looked good. He had a header that was brilliantly saved by the Falkirk keeper Jamie MacDonald. Maybe that is where he should be playing. "When Lee was man on man with an opposing player and lost the second goal, then there was no comeback for him. "In his defence, he shouldn't be left man on man at the back anyway. There is no pace there. Darren McGregor is the quickest man in the defence. He should have been back. "However, Lee was the one who got caught out. As, for that matter, he did at the first goal. The corner went over his head. He should have cleared it. "I can understand why fans are frustrated, but they have to keep that under control in the closing stages of the season." Johnstone added: "We haven't had a big striker for a while. Kris Boyd has been off form. He got two goals for the Under-20s this week, but I don't know if that will do his cause any good. "Jon Daly has been injured and has just returned to training. So Stuart hasn't really had that big striker to play up front alongside Nicky Clark or Kenny Miller, or whoever. "Lee has shown that if the team are going to put balls into the penalty area, he has still got that jump he needs to get on the end of them. Maybe he will find himself a place up front rather than at the back." Johnstone would like to see Darren McGregor paired with Marius Zaliukas at centre-half against Hearts on Saturday and in the play-off matches. He said: "There are options available at the back if the manager wants to play Lee up front. I think McGregor and Zaliukas are the two best centre- backs we have got. Both of them are solid. "The problem is at right-back. Robbie Crawford has come in and done a good job. He is the fittest player on the books, so you know he is going to get up and down the park. "I would have no hesitation whatsoever playing Crawford at right-back. He is energetic and wants to do well. You are going to get a good shift out of him. "Playing a back four of Crawford, McGregor, Zaliukas and Lee Wallace would allow Lee to play up front and give them that physical presence when balls come into the box." 9. Yes you are right can we get back on the topic of the thread please.
  10. Thank you very much sir! To be honest I think the people with brains would stay and try and change things from the inside.
  11. You are tarring all Scottish supporters with the same brush. If you are so pro British you must be in the national front then. Sorry what you wrote was a little bit bullshit.
  12. Of course they do the payout will be higher if Rangers and Hibs contribute to the fund.
  13. I don't see how they can produce a not proven on Guidetti as he did say what he said. In saying that I dont really know what the charge is. The fact is he was asked a question and gave an answer to that question. I doubt he will or we really want him to get sanctioned for that. The problem lies with the tim supporters singing the words in the first place. That is where the SFA should be throwing sanctions at.
  14. Selling your soul to the devil comes to mind.
  15. Cigarette sponsors were banned because of addiction to cigarettes. Betting is also an addiction but it seems it is allowed. I don't really understand that to be honest. Betting has been doing more damage to football than anything else. Crazy
  16. Do you mean Celtic View?
  17. Sporting integrity and conflicts of interest this is now getting beyond a joke. Scottish football is so unbalanced it could not even get the see-saw off the ground
  18. The only thing I would help Boyd with is his transfer out the door. Never been a fan and never will be.
  19. The SPFL and the SFA are really a joke. If anyone made as many blunders as them in manufacturing or other industries they would have been replaced long ago.
  20. I remember people saying Sky would never accept us getting demoted. To be honest I don't think Sky give much of a shit about the Scottish game. I think they see it as a service to keep the few people who are paying subscriptions to them happy.
  21. The reason we are creating chances is because Boyd is not in the team. No thanks for me.
  22. I think alcohol consumption and wummin are pretty world wide. I would put the blame more on grass root and even professional coaching. A football association that doesn't have a scooby also gives me a sincere lack of confidence that things are going to get any better.
  23. I have worked with 15 and 16 year olds that is why I feel I can comment on it. The technical ability i saw tonight frightens me and gives me little hope of a strong European Rangers or Scotland team in the near future. Coming from this selection of youth players anyway.
  24. That was frightening. I have no idea what the difference in age is between Celtic and us as that could play a role, but the difference in power, speed and organisation was pretty big.
  25. Having been involved in Dutch amateur football for years I have to say, I find the level very poor. The statements that we will be playing a passing game is nowhere to be seen. I never saw the whole half but what I saw does not fill me with confidence for the future.
