  1. Colin West must be near the list as well. 1986–1987 Rangers 10 (2) If I remember right they called him the cowboy and he was.
  2. 25. Kyle Hutton 24. Daniel Prodan 23. Michael Ball 22. Oleg Salenko 21. Dorin Goian 20. Julien Rodriguez 19. Kevin Muscat 18. Seb Rozental 17. Libor Sionko 16. Olivier Bernard 15. Karl Svensson 14. Basile Boli 13. Christian Nerlinger 12. Emerson 11. Kevin Kyle 10. Jerome Rothen 9. Juan Manuel Ortiz 8. Nuno Capucho 7. Egil Østenstad 6. Francis Jeffers 5. Marcus Gayle 4. Andy Webster 3. Ian Black 2. Francisco Sandaza 1. James Beattie This is a good read. We can make our own list if people disagree with this list. http://whatculture.com/sport/25-players-who-stole-a-living-from-rangers.php
  3. Shota's last game as manager was really weird. Everyone thought a goal was given unfairly so Shota told his team to let the other team score direct from the kick-off. They did and ended up losing 2-1 and he resigned directly after the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeRo88SaQ9I
  4. I know PSV were also pushing for it a few seasons ago. One problem would indeed be the new TV contract with Fox. I doubt anything could happen until it finishes in 12 years time.
  5. Agree that stupid rule has to change that the split is after the costs are covered. I can understand though that the money is spread around all teams and not just the play-off teams.
  6. With Murdoch in the team I don't see a position for Black so he would definitely be away for me. Sheils I pondered on but he is pretty light weight and hasn't really shown much in 2 years. We would indeed need to bring in a few midfielders.
  7. Here is a topic that will go down well with some.
  8. I don't know who you are reacting to but we cannot just throw out 24 players and bring 24 new players in. I said I would keep him as a squad player for now but a RB and 2 centre-backs would be top of my list to bring in.
  9. I don't mean that we have a total clear-out and go scattering cash around. First of all a good start will be getting rid of the high earners whose contract has ended. -I can live with Bell although I would prefer a more commanding keeper. Keep for now. :rf:- He has been good over the last few games but is that enough? Not the greatest defender but reasonable going forward. Keep for now as squad player but we need a better defender :dm:- Keep. :mz:- Keep as squad player but we really do need a better defence than we have now. :sf: Release - Keep or try to get a good fee for him. - Keep -Showed early promise but fell away a bit. Still has a contract so keep. Not sure how his contract is but I think it covers next season so Keep. Needs to massively improve for the first team though. :cg: Not had a chance this season so it depends on his contract. Keep. I believe he is out of contract but I would give him a new deal as he can be a match winner and was one of the best players in the SPL in 2012-13 Keep. I believe with good coaching he will come good. :ib: Bye-Bye - Sorry Dean you have not done enough.Bye-bye Sorry not done enough. There is a player in there somewhere but far too hot and mostly cold. Even McCall gave up on him. Still in contract I believe. Keep or sell on. Should start the season in the top squad. Keep :kb: No discussion Bye-Bye. Depends on his contract as some say it covers next season. If not. Bye-bye :jd: Who? Bye-Bye. Deserves a chance and probably on a low wage. Keep :lg:Deserves a chance in the first team pre-season.Keep :kh: Doesn't do anything for me and not near Rangers class. Bye-bye :mckay: Not sure depends on contract. He did show some promise when we were down the leagues but is he SPFL standard? Undecided on him. :jig: Thanks for you're time and effort but it is time to stop. Bye-bye. :simo: Watch the door doesn't hit your bum on the way out. Bye-bye. With a heavy heart I have to say Bye-Bye. There is a player in there somewhere. :ss: Not good enough in my opinion so Bye-bye. I have not included the Newcastle players as from next week they are not our players although I would welcome. :hv: I make that 14 squad players I would keep and build around. :rf::dm::mz::cg: Now I have made this template it is interesting to see other peoples views.
  10. I can't speak for Zappa as I can't see his pm's but I think you can start preparing to do it. The more writers we have the better. Welcome to the team and : Thanks
  11. Personally I don't believe in that statement as it gives you an excuse for failure and lowering you're expectations now. No we should not go splattering millions everywhere but the far future begins today. What time line is this long term gain? How can we measure where we are in this long term gain if we are still failing? We need to do both. We need to make improvements that allows us to challenge for Europe next season. We also have to put a long term plan in place bringing scouting and youth coaching up to a level that could possibly make us self sufficient but we must not forget that there are very few clubs playing in the top of Europe that relies totally on there own youth scheme. The long term gain thing is like a player waiting for the ball to come to him instead of moving towards the ball to get it in my eyes a lot of the time it never reaches you.
  12. Agree totally. Even Donald Trump needs a postman.
  13. My gripe with Ally is not the rebuilding after liquidation but his role in the times before. Why when we were playing European football did he only start training 2 weeks prior. Malmo were well into their season when we played them. I am not defending Ally but just trying to put all arguments on the table. After Liquidation many were saying we should start from scratch and go with youth. Now I have seen most of the youth team over the last few weeks and I can fully understand that Ally thought the youth were nowhere near ready to play with hardened Pro's and Sheils Daly Mohsni and Black etc were better options. Why Sheils, Daly and Black became such ineffective players under his coaching is a mystery to me. I think Ally's biggest fault is his underestimating of fitness levels. The game against Malmo proved that and the big difference that McCall has made is imho making the players far fitter. Their work rate is far higher and their desire to play a passing game has been much improved. Ally also played too much on trying to stop the other team playing instead of setting up the team to dominate the game. I actually started trying to bring out the positives in his coaching but failed miserably.
  14. What are you trying to say BD that Ian is one of the Morons? Just kidding Ian is a good guy as I can personally endorse.
  15. I was listening to the games somewhere so it would have been at home. I used to sit in the car and listen to matches before the computer days as that was the only radio I could get reception on. I guess it was a stream as you say as I did have a computer 10 years ago.
  16. What a question Gribz. I have no idea where I was 10 minutes ago,let alone 10 years.
  17. Shouting and throwing things are two completely different things but it also depends on what you are shouting. There are some things you can shout that I would say are unacceptable and the Ref should act on them.
  18. I agree it was nuisance Ian but we can't have people throwing things at players. If that was against us we would all be up in arms. The guy that hit Fernando with a lighter at the piggery could also say it was just nuisance.
  19. I have to say I agree totally with the first part of his post. The throwing may have been funny once but it should have stopped there. Where I do disagree is that I believe the Referee should have stopped the game and made Rangers announce that the match would be abandoned if it continued. To start arresting people could have caused a riot. The Ref was the person that should have acted in my opinion.
  20. Good post and I totally agree. As I posted before you I believe Ally feels hurt and victimised and that everybody has turned against him. I totally agree we need to hear what his side of the story is before casting judgement.
  21. This is part of the problem I think. Ally is feeling victimised and is seeking a sort of revenge in wanting his full pay. Just my idea of things and not based on any facts.
