No chance Cal. Boogie is off tomorrow.

Oh Naw! The kiss of death.
-
Walter said he will look at it again but there is a good possibility we will appeal. Will the commission then need to meet before Sunday?
-
Congratulations Kris! You can now go on to make a record that may never be beaten.
-
Yes i agree with all of the above, and i was also angry that in a game where you need goals, that you don't play your best goalscorer. Crazy! Hopefully Leveign will have learned from Burley's mistakes.
-
Agree go for it Walter. Should we not be worried about tonights game first or is it postponed?
-
How often are Rangers players booed from the field at half or full time at Ibrox. We can all turn incidents to suit our own beliefs. The fact is we were all football supporters born in Scotland and therefore should get behind our national team
-
I've completely lost you here and don't have a clue what you're on about. By the TA, I meant Scotland supporters and implicitly referencing those that hypocritically condemn the players, as I doubt any of them have higher standards of behaviour for themselves. The same goes for Burley and SFA officials. To me having a drink without getting pissed, 3.5 days before a game is incredibly responsible for your average Scotsman - admirably responsible in fact. In addition sticking your fingers up while pretending to scratch your face to me is pretty normal behaviour for a young Scotsman. The sanctimonious furore caused by this behaviour is an embarrassment to Scotland in my opinion. As a nation we seemed to have become a bunch of rock throwing, prudish hypocrites living in a massive glass house and lacking a sense of humour. Walter was mad about the v-signs not the boozing although that probably was also taken into account. I have no problem with the booze thing and agree in general that it was Burley's fault more than the players. We all agree the V-sign was stupid and deserved a punishment but a life ban was to severe. As for the TA thing read back if you will i have no puff to start the whole thing again.
-
Ian i have sat at Ibrox and been absolutely embarrassed by the hate spewed out against our own players. Right from the first minute i heard ***** you are a fucking dick. ****** you are a wanker. Maybe things have changed now but on reading reports on how Hutton took abuse i doubt it.

No Craig my justification is not that i am a Scotland supporter,my justification is that no one can produce one piece of evidence that there is an organised anti-Rangers campaign amongst Scotland supporters. Scotland supporter don't need to segregate themselves from rangers. Some Rangers supporters are doing that for themselves. I will gladly change my mind when i can witness the evidence for myself. Until then i will remain a herder and not become one of the sheep.

I actually thought you had joined them in the same silence. Certainly all gone quiet on that front. To be fair the choice between the 17 different proposals may take a little time to sort out. Hopefully after the festive period some knight in shining armour with a huge bank balance will ride over the horizon and take over the club. While i was all for a fan take-over i have my doubts that there is enough interest to generate the money necessary. 15.000 fans paying 1000 pounds each seems a tall order to me. 35.000 paying 100 pounds may be easier but still a lot of supporters in these financial hard times.
-
That is obviously your opinion. Many people will have different opinions. Walter smith did. I also felt at the time they should be punished for the V-sign(not boozgate) I agree that a life ban was far to severe. As for this mystical tartan army that you now mention. I would guess that you have the names of the organisers and can produce some evidence. Please not just a website with a handful of tim supporters spewing crap.
-
Craig, where in the quote you gave am i comparing Rangers with Scotland. And you claim i put words in your mouth. Sorry i don't understand what you are getting at. The original argument was that the tartan army are some sort of anti-Rangers organisation. I have seen that quoted on here many times or words to that effect. The fact is nobody has produced one piece of evidence that there is an organised anti-Rangers club. Yes there are tim supporters on Scotland message boards who hate us. They will hate us anyway whether we support Scotland or not. I was in Amsterdam for Holland- Scotland and there were plenty of Rangers supporters wearing kilts and some kind of headgear in this supposedly Evil demon they call the tartan army. You say A.McG,BF and KB are unmissable for Scotland. I say any player whether they play for Barcelona or Rangers is missable if they misbehave. Please don't come back with i am putting words in your mouth or i am comparing Rangers with Scotland,it is becoming repetitive and adds absolutely no value to the discussion.

This seems pretty well balanced to me. It could have been a thread on here a year ago and we are all Rangers supporters. Certainly nothing there that would make me not want to support Scotland.
-
Craig, sorry you are now mixed up. the tartan army never picked Iwelumo . I am sure like myself most had never heard of him. Scott Brown was never in a position that boyd would be chosen for. I can't really make sense of your post. Maybe you are suffering from the heat or i am suffering from the snow and cold outside. The argument was about the tartan army and not about Burley's crazy decisions. Scotland fans didn't pick the team. They did try and get behind the players the manager picked. Zappa you must be a millionaire betting on all those certainties. Most international managers say if you are not playing for your club you will not be considered. Again the tartan Army did not pick the team. In my opinion if Boyd would have played the Scotland supporters would have supported him
-
Agree Craig and if it is true then surely that is what the main Rangers site should be for to report things like that.
-
Sorry Craig i did use your quote but i was really answering to the general consensus that is stated on here regularly. As for the poll i can understand that 85% of people at that time wanted them out i know i did, at that time. If we had done a poll on Boyd about 6 months ago on here would he have got the support that he would get now. The danger with quoting someone with or without actual knowledge is that once it gets passed down the line it is changed a thousand times and fiction becomes fact. As you say now, you think he said something, but the next to pass it on it has become a fact. Yes i agree we need all the good players but we also have to expect that they will show a certain degree of self discipline. Boyd was not getting a game for Rangers at that time. Gordon was the first choice keeper and probably still will be. Some may argue that Darren Fletcher Kevin Thomson and Scott Brown are better options than BF. I am not saying they are or i think that they are, but people do have a right to that opinion. There are Radicals on all sides but it does not mean they are in the majority it mainly only means they shout the hardest.

I answered UCF in a private message but up until zappa's post i never realised that some people may not know that saying which is even older than i am. Obviously if you don't know that saying, then it does sound a pretty racist statement. I apologise if it offended some people but it was an off the cuff joke. Now can we get the thread back on track. Any news on Beasley?

Who are the leaders of this TA. Please name them so as i can read up on them and make up my own mind what is fact and what is fiction. Are you talking about 5 men who think like that. Who are the TA? I am pretty sure a large number of Scotland supporters also support Rangers, so when they put on a tartan scarf are they then Jekyll and Hyde and hate Rangers. Yes i can imagine that a few Celtic\Aberdeen etc. minded idiots hate Rangers but i am also pretty sure the real Scotland supporters want to see the best players playing for Scotland. I can also imagine someone said they don't want to see Fergie, McGregor and Boyd playing. Hey! Weren't a large number on here saying that about them playing for Rangers last year. Are we only allowed to say things like that? Are Scotland supporters not allowed to talk about players who they think are hurting their team. I have been a huge critic of fergie and Boyd. I didn't want to see McGregor replace Alexander in goal. Just because someone out this supposed tartan army says something like that he is Scum. Come on give us a break.
-
Totally agree that Burley made a botch of things. If he let the players have a drink he should have stipulated a time he expected them in bed. I would imagine he could even have got the bar shut at a certain time if he had wanted to. 4 to 5 hours is a normal amount of hours for a night out especially if you have had a drink and your enjoying yourself. Personally i am also a Scotland supporter and i wear a jimmy hat and tartan scarf and the st Andrews flag draped around me when Scotland are playing. Does that make me a member of the tartan army? I certainly don't hate Rangers and i know there are another few on here who also support Scotland. If we segregate ourselves from supporting Scotland or even worse support England because we are so called unionists, and it is more fitting for a Rangers supporter to support England, then we are no better than the people we call the plastic paddies.

I can only find written, that he is out for two or three weeks,so i would still think he is a no-goer for Sunday.
-
I do know 100% certain that they were banned for the v-sign as they were put on the bench for Boozegate where they made the sign. I also saw Gordon Smith making a statement on reporting Scotland in person and not being misquoted by journalists. I am also not a public figure making a statement to the media. He is. Yes he is entitled to his opinion but he should not be hanging it out to the media as he had nothing to do with the incident. Yes that is only my opinion!
-
I have no problem with the decision Boyd made, i can fully understand it. He should just stick to playing football and not be shouting his mouth off to the press. Fergie and shagger were not banned for boozegate they were banned for the v-sign. Explaining his decision to quit is okay but he should not get involved in things he had nothing to do with and he could only have heard the story from one side. It is not his place to play advocate for Fergie and shagger they are big boys they can talk for themselves.

Is he any older than Davie Weir?
