Lowing delight at winning debut Alan Lowing Lowing has made four first-team appearances for Rangers Alan Lowing spoke of his delight at having made a winning debut for Clyde after moving on loan from Rangers. The 20-year-old right-back made his switch just hours before kick-off as Clyde beat St Johnstone 3-2 in Perth. "It was great to come in and play in the first win of the season and hopefully I can help push Clyde up the table now," he told the club website. "I only found out about the move on Friday, so I was surprised but delighted to start the game." Lowing, a Scotland Under-20 international, is hoping that his spell with Clyde will help him eventually become a first-team regular at Ibrox. There are a number of Rangers connections at Broadwood, including manager John Brown, the former Ibrox youth coach. "I was at Rangers when John Brown was there and I enjoyed working with him then," added Lowing, who has made four appearances for Rangers' first-team. "I knew that he knew what I could do and had confidence in me, so that helped me make my decision to come to Clyde."

I can only judge on highlights and Euro performances so i will admit i am not in a position to go into a deep discussion on this one, but in the games i saw under PLG i thought we played far better football than we did under Smith. Lyon game being an exception.

Forgot to say good post BD. I think McGregor got it all wrong for Naka's goal. He set up the wall to cover the near post and then stood unsighted behind the wall in the middle of the goal. Nakered only had to side foot it home. McGregor should have had that corner covered. A keepers blunder for me but fortunately the keeper at the other end made more expensive mistakes.

In a weekend where we saw Cousin sent off for use of the elbow there were three players, including Evander Sno on his Ajax d�©but sent off in the Dutch league. In all of the red cards i really only saw one that was earned and that was De Guzman a Feynoord player. There is obviously a UEFA directive to take a hard hand(or hard elbow:D ) on elbows, but can intent be judged in most cases. De Guzman was obviously an aggressive elbow but the others i saw were in the jump imo. Have the refs gone over the top on this one and can they judge on a seconds decision? I think not and without TV evidence then only the obvious cases should be punished with a card. Free kick, i agree with but a card should only be given for obvious intent.

I read Galatasary were looking at Cousin. I have always liked him to be honest but he does have to want to be a Rangers player.

Not until today. PLG had us playing better football until he seemingly lost out to the Scottish clique.

Gers fans had a field day Ian. The only time i heard the tims was after they scored. Even that was can you hear the Rangers sing in answer to us singing Celtic sing before they scored. With 12 minutes to go the tims were leaving big time.

I judge managers on the improvements they make to the team. I have seen WS over two decades now and to be honest i have not seen him improving any teams long term. As you say just my opinion.

You meant we can't change mistakes made in the past.

Sorry Jon, i disagree that is hindsight. How often was said on here that our midfield needs strengthening before the season started. If we could see it why could our great leader not see it.
