Gribz he is getting professional help from all sides but is turning his back on it. An Alcoholic is a selfish one minded person. his only thought is where the next drink is coming from. He doesn't give a shit about anyone as his urge for a drink is greater than social feelings. Why you think you can do more than professional clinics and his current family and friends are doing beats me really. They gave George best a new Liver but still couldn't get him off the drink.

I have to agree with Mainflyer on this one. You can't run your business on the assumption it might go wrong

It is so that a boss can make or break you. 4 years ago I was steaming towards a promotion. i had received two bonuses two years after each other but stupidly i only had a verbal agreement that i would be promoted at the following promotion round, which was and is only in January. Unfortunately my then boss was replaced before i was promoted and from day one i couldn't get on with my new boss. He was one of these young theory kids that had totally no practical experience and thought that if he said jump, then everyone would jump. As i don't jump for anyone who tries to bulldoze me our relationship went from bad to worse. My body language changed and i became more and more militant. I was told as long as he was my boss i would never be considered for promotion. Fortunately he has now left the company as he could not gain the promotion he wanted and i get on good with my new boss who has come up from the work floor. I have been put on a personal development plan which is seemingly the new way in our company to gain promotion. My body language and helpfulness has pushed the militant part of me into the background and i am much happier in my job. I can see in what happened to me could have happened to Gow and am sure that more people will have a similar experience. Unfortuately for Gow i doubt he will ever get a chance under Walter Smith.

The joke it's self is antique but obviously it has been wrapped in a new jacket. i heard it originally as Jesus said to his deciples go forth. Matthew came fifth so the cut his brew money.

As usual at the start of the old firm game, the Celtic supporters blasted out youll never walk alone. They seemed to forget that when big Venegoor was heading for the tunnel, he looked like a lonely soul to me. The Celtic supporters did stick to their word though, with 12 minutes left. They were leaving in their masses. They never walked alone. Just hours before the game Venegoor was thinking of buying a Harley Davison motor-bike, seemingly he wanted something with a kick-start. Word has it that Celtic are sending Mark Wilson to Kelvingrove park, duck pond, to train. They hope he can learn to catch a frog. During Sunday's old firm game, Stevie Davis treated Aiden McGeady like a snooker ball. He pocketed him at will and didnt need a rest. Then there was our Holy Goalie Friend. He used be a mail man in Poland but was sacked for not guarding the post. Boruc wanted to emulate Maradona and be hand of god, Unfortunately it backfired and he became the hand of, OOOh God! As has been stated in the papers, Artur has been going heavy on the drink. Rumour has it he only went to chapel because he thought he would get three bloody Marys He used to be partial to a cocktail but kept spilling the Bols. And more recently he has been favouring a Drop shot. Taxi!!!

Maybe a small part because at the goal McGeady stripped Broadfoot to cross. I think if you watch Mcgeady when he is playing he mostly cuts inside. Rangers must have knew this and Davis did brilliant to dispossess him nearly every time.

Gribz's drunken posts are allowed as well of course.
-
I think i can speak for everyone here i won't even ask. Any such post would be removed as soon as possible and the person would be barred. This board is for intelligent discussion and the love of rangers FC not sectarian terrorist morons.
-
Sorry Craig i don't agree that Broadfoot had McGeady in his Pocket but Stevie Davis did. I will agree McGeady kept trying to turn inside as broadfoot was covering the line, but stevie Davis was waiting for him time and time again. In fact the only success(or distress for us) was when Mcgeady got down the line to cross for the goal.

Sorry but an Alcoholic can only help himself. Not one person in the world can get him off the drink but himself. I don't know about the scrounger, but he is the drunk. Paul Gascoigne needs to take a look at himself. I actually take my hat off to his friends for sticking by him. You cannot blame other people for making him an alcoholic he did that himself. Only he can change things around.

Let me just say i never realised, until now, that Neil Lennon was attacked on Monday morning. Although that is no excuse to attack other innocent players or human beings i can understand a certain amount of anger. I think we would have been on the boil here as well although i don't think we would be calling for terrorist attacks. It also shows that a certain faction of our support is, alas, as much scum as the scum at Parkhead.

If this is the way things are going to fan out in football then just let's shut up shop. Although a huge part of our lives, it still is a game ffs. Without opposition you cannot play football. If it came off a Celtic board then nothing will be done, we have seen that all in the past.
-
I totally agree with this bit of Mainflyers post: I have no problem with the Celtic issue i just don't think he is good enough.
-
Half the people in Blackpool are Scottish anyway, so he will feel right at home.
-
You can take Naismith off the list for this season.
-
I am sorry to see him go i feel the management were lacking in trying to make him feel wanted. The way Rangers played last year it was easy to look disinterested as he was stuck on an island in the middle of no where. When we were playing attacking football up to the Barcelona game he was playing well. On Sunday playing with good players around him he looked different class. I am not so sure about disinterested, frustrated could be nearer the mark.
-
Personally i don't think it was a sweet volley i actually think he shinned it. I don't mean to belittle the goal as no one was more happy than i was, and if he does that 30 times a season i will change my opinion of him.
-
Some people do call him a pig...
-
BBC do the same. Some great banter as well.
-
Not questioning your debate with JMC Jon, You are totally correct in asking where the "facts"come from. I am trying to answer my own questions on why Gow was never given a real chance. Totally baffles me to be honest.
-
If as now is slowly seeping through that McCoist and Walter are starting to disagree then our presumptions that Walter has his favourites and will stick to them, may be a factor in the Gow story. Not fact just a grasp at an answer
-
I was listening to the beeb and they said Ally McCoist was arguing for hours\days with Walter to get him to play Cousin yesterday. That was the reason Cousin ran to Ally. To be honest i fear a bit of mismanagement here. And i agree Cousin did have an attitude problem.
-
Window Shut!!!! We have to do with the players we have now. Pissed off that Cousin is away.
-
I will try and think of something but to be honest i can't say i have much yet.
