As for King, isn't he under fraud charges? Maybe parasite was the wrong word, but I certainly don't want guys like him on the board. I suspect the last 3 replies are all dubious about this takeover.

Yet another parasite from the old guard of our soon to be former board. If anyone had any doubt how badly we were being run, and why I wanted the boardroom completely overhauled, this morning's events are why.

Can't agree - we've moaned for years that we weren't being told what was going on in the club, why certain things were being done. Now we are, and you complain about that instead? Can't win.

I think all this is bloody fantastic tbh. Johnston, who I couldn't stand, refusing to resign despite saying he would, getting fired. Nice. Paul Murray in the same boat. Bain who was one of the many symptoms of Rangers being ill, being suspended for irregularities, ditto McIntyre. This shockingly run club is being cleaned up bottom to top, and I couldn't be more pleased to see it happening.

BBC claim AJ reneged on his promise and refused to resign, so was fired. Thank God. As for Bain, I'm delighted that finally the appalling running of our club is being addressed.

We overpaid for a lot of players basically. I agree Jelavic was a bargain, but I still don't agree Weiss is worth anything like �£4M.

�£4M got us a sensational striker in Jelavic - someone worth every penny and who has become an idol for our fans. Weiss hasn't come close to the same level of accolade and imho �£4M would be far too much for him. You make the point about assists and I can't argue with it, but in the same way Naismith won our POTY and cost �£2M. Which is what I feel Weiss is worth.

Yes, even the BBC have named Ryan Giggs as the 'unnamed Premiership footballer' who had it off with Imogen from Big Brother. Twitter has been in absolute meltdown since the story broke days ago. Indeed, more furore has been caused by Giggs trying to conceal it than would have if it had just come out as a plain old story in the red tops.

He said all the games HE SAW! Not every single match the entire season. I'm sure even in a league as bad as ours there were maybe one or two half decent matches.

imo he's not worth �£4M. He's really not that terrific - I think he contributes fairly well but I'm not buying into the reputation he seems to have gained recently.

I'm seeing a lot of criticism about this online. Folk aren't happy with it. I can see both sides - it's a bit disruptive to us, the timing is a bit odd, but it could make a 6 figure sum for the club. Which is always welcome.

Nah, he's right. Scottish football is extremely poor. I personally have no respect for the Scottish game - it's become a turgid, stale affair with so little money in it. If I didn't support Rangers I wouldn't support any other Scottish team. I'd be thrilled if we moved to England. Quite honestly I can't see where he's being disrespectful. He just seems to be correct. btw, where is the dig at Rangers?

Chris Burke has been unable to agree terms with Cardiff and will leave. There's talk of him returning to Ibrox. He's been good down there but in the end we really couldn't wait to get rid of him from here.
