  1. He's not a journalist, that's why he can say this stuff.
  2. But SAF is a control freak who dominates everyone around him and exudes an air of intimidation. Anything he doesn't like gets the hairdryer.
  3. He was absolutely horrible at Wigan.
  4. I hate Celtic players and managers, it's par for the course. But by and large, they're just professionals who maybe spout occasionally to the press but generally get on with it. So I wouldn't call anyone else associated with that club 'fenian' (not even Lennon - he's just a bigoted cretin), but there is something about Reid which is absolute and utter poison. I'd already decided yes to AV and when he came out saying we should vote no, it only made my mind up further.
  5. Than Weir? Why 3?
  6. Lest we forget, Walter signed Webster. tbh, alongside Weir I think Svensson would have done much better.
  7. And the quotes were always from McCallister, not the now-departed Houllier. I sincerely hope we can tie him up. He wants to stay, and hopefully we have the funds to keep him.
  8. I absolutely love the fun of windows. I love the excitement of the latest player linked with Ibrox. I'll never forget a few years back the insane Clarence Seedorf rumour started by Alan Rough on Real Radio. He later admitted he'd got that one badly wrong...
  9. Frings would be a very interesting signing. World class player in his day, obviously a bit past it now but would be very useful for the CL and would stroll the SPL. I'd take him. Certainly the biggest name we've been linked to so far. Disappointed to hear the Vaughan situation is going cold. Anything further on this Hemed chap?
  10. Folk are assuming West Ham are a foregone destination; but he'll have to take a wage cut as they're in the Championship these days. As for us, Diouf wasn't the worst player we ever had, he had a workman attitude and covered a lot of grass, and seemed quite happy to be on the bench as much as start. But his pace wasn't great for the type of position he played, and he lacked goals. A reasonable squad player, but only on a modest wage and I doubt he'd accept that.
  11. Utter total fenian bastard. I don't often use that word, but Reid's attacks on Rangers throughout his time at Parkhead have been absolutely vile.
  12. I thought poor old Svensson got a raw deal. He never had a settled partner and never settled in. Sometimes he looked more than decent.
  13. Seen this advertised on STV - I think it's on Tuesday at 8pm. Detailing his time at Ibrox I assume.
  14. I agree entirely. It is curious though that he's been a bit more 'open' since quitting. Saying we need a shitload of new players, saying he'd have quit if he'd received those death threats, and also attacking Celtic over their refereeing embarrassments earlier in the season. Stuff he would never have said if still in the job.
  15. I was just about to mention him... He's an example of what might have been had that cunt Simpson not had his way. Durrant could have been a true great.
  16. Only the very very best truly make it at Ibrox; Ferguson, Hutton, McGregor. If a player is not of that calibre his days are generally numbered and as Blue Heaven showed, their future is anyone's guess. On one hand it's a good thing as we won't end up with average players in the first team, but it also shows just how unlikely players are to make it. There is the next tier, guys like Wylde, Fleck, Ness - they have a chance, but time will tell if they truly make their mark on the first team.
  17. I hope the something else is away from Ibrox. I really don't want another season of his misery at being 'stuck at Ibrox' and consequent average displays.
  18. Call me ageist, but I don't want a 41 year old playing for the first team. I'll be that blunt.
  19. He's already said he wants to go. There's literally no chance he'd sign a new contract. He really doesn't care about the wellbeing of Rangers.
  20. He's been wanting to leave since before the last world cup. His form last year was mediocre. And at his best he's good, no more. But we're not going to see him at his best if he's 'forced' to stay at Ibrox.
  21. Ally, seriously, why are you trying to hold onto Bougherra?
  22. Our Turkish chums Bursaspor are apparently interested in Steven Whittaker.
  23. I'd be happy for him to remain as a coach, but not as playing staff.
  24. Oh absolutely. I'd keep Healy - he's a very useful sub or starter in lesser matches. I would get shot of Beattie - that one did not work out.
  25. I watched Blue Heaven last night, this very much reminds me of that. Many players just don't make it.
