New managers like to stamp their own authority on a team. In Carlos' case it's cost him his place.

Most Villa players don't look like they give a toss.

Ireland is a player I wouldn't want timmy to get - I really rate him. He was superb at City till he fell out of favour.

What next, Kirk for Barcelona. Aye, that Alves' place is on a shoogly peg.

If you believe everything you read. The same paper who brought us the Kenny Miller story are now saying that Juventus and Inter will battle it out in January for Brown's 5M signature...
-
The bleedin' Sunday Express are running with the story, and Derek Rae even mentioned it last night on ESPN during the Milan match.

McCulloch is good enough to remain a first pick. As for the quote, well he's got a bit of a reputation for being something of a mouthpiece, but it's not been so bad from him recently and I don't really think there's much wrong with what he's said here.

The Webster situation is bizarre. Arguably the second best defender in the SPL last season, certainly one of the best - not a single injury blah blah blah - soon as he returns to us he's on the treatment table and can't get a place on the bench. Again.
-
Pippo's out injured, Ronaldinho's been dropped, Pato's out injured... Robinho has finally received his chance in the first team, and Ibra is doing the business. You are right that it's a ridiculous story though.
-
This would be a bit of a head fuck for me... As for Miller, he's terrific in the SPL and absolutely hopeless in Europe. Remains to be seen how good he'll be in the Europa League.

Wilsons promotion to Liverpool first team benefits Rangers
Danny replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
So we made 2mill up front then will make more as he makes more appearances? Doesn't sound as good a deal as I originally thought. -
Isn't his first name Welsh and his surname Gaelic?
-
Heard about this, the good thing is it was caught early. Hope Pete's morbid comment turns out to be empty.
-
Maybe he's just being careless with his quotes but that's not the most reassuring phrase we could hear in pursuit of keeping him.

Takeover latest: Ellis & Whyte in Scotland for MIH talks
Danny replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I've been told (not read the whole thread) that this deal is 65% Whyte and 35% Ellis. Is there any truth in that?- 74 replies

Only post I see getting the point I got is Zappa's. It's a story from the Sun without any quotes from the player and qualifies for 4 tenuous lines presumably at the bottom of another story (I didn't click the link). It's a story from nothing. HOWEVER...I would absolutely not take Kris Boyd for no transfer fee back even on less wages than he had here. I couldn't wait to get rid of him.
-
Did we get that far with Ellis. I seem to recall Johnson publicly castigating the whole deal saying he never spoke directly to Ellis.
-
All I'm saying. Albeit you're being more generous than I.
-
Actions speak indeed much louder than words which is why we should ignore the words and wait for any action. I'm sick of these soap operas.

Might be Webster's long awaited chance?

I simply don't believe a word of this. Unless the day happens that we are officially announced as taken over and the club and all personnell corroborate it as fact, I take every single takeover report with a gallon of salt. Far too many false alarms and false starts to allow myself to get excited about a new report. As much as I hate to say it wabash was right about the previous Ellis soap opera, and I personally will regard this with the same disdain unless proven otherwise.

I don't use it either but his feed is public so I googled it:

I don't buy the mhedia thing, but this did make me laugh

Hibs was a blip. It was a team, capable of good football, finally kicking into gear while we had a shocking off night. I also wouldn't say it was getting too easy - we've had to really graft for a lot of our wins this season - that's why we've not had the credit we deserve from our own supporters, except in one thread I saw on this board. This squad depleted as it is, is top of the league against a Celtic who don't have CL to contend with. As for this 2 games or 3 games a week being too much - well 90 minutes plus plenty of training plus the incredible concentration needed during said 90 minutes is demanding as hell, even for superfit athetes. And with as thin a squad as we have, it's going to take it out of you.

My thoughts exactly. Way I see it is we need to learn from our defeat last night, never let it happen again, and thoroughly appreciate the reprieve Celtic have given us. As you say we got out of jail, let us now stay out.
