  1. Ticketus has claimed that the Blue Knights takeover offer for the crisis-hit Rangers still stands. On Tuesday, the London ticket agency claimed that it was still in talks with the consortium fronted by former director at Ibrox Paul Murray. Ticketus also confirmed it had withdrawn an offer to pay administrators Duff and Phelps an exclusivity fee to be named preferred bidder, while the company also said it had spoken to a rival bid from the consortium led by Singapore businessman Bill Ng. This came after the administrators expressed their "disappointment" that the Blue Knights was "withdrawing" from the bidding process on Monday night. The Blue Knights released a statement saying that "we are stepping back to assist" with speeding up the bidding process, but "stand ready to re-enter the process if a deal can not be reached." On Tuesday, a spokesman for Ticketus said: "Talks are ongoing with the Blue Knights as well as with the Singapore bid. "Ultimately, it is up to the administrators to decide who they want to be the preferred bidder and we are prepared to work with whoever that is." Ticketus struck a £25.3m deal with Rangers owner Craig Whyte for 100,000 future season ticket sales at Ibrox. Should Ticketus fail to reach an agreement with whoever is named preferred bidder for Rangers, administrators Duff and Phelps can choose to breach the agreement, making the firm a creditor for at least £26.7m. Both the Blue Knights and the Singapore bid have claimed they want to reach a company voluntary agreement (CVA) route out of administration, but Duff and Phelps have stated that the "newco" option, which would see an asset sale followed by liquidation, cannot be ruled out. American tow-truck bussiness owner Bill Miller's offer is being considered by Duff and Phelps as well. The administrators said it hoped to reveal its preferred bidder for the club last week but claimed new SPL proposals cutting a clear path for newco clubs buying into the league had affected some offers for Rangers. Sale Sharks Rugby Union Club owner Brian Kennedy, who had an individual bid for Rangers knocked back by administrators, said on Tuesday that he may return with an offer for the club if the Blue Knights bid has fallen through. He said: "I do not want to distract the time critical process of appointing preferred bidders. However should this fall through with the effect of endangering the existence of RFC, I would reconsider my position."

  6. STATEMENT FROM THE RANGERS SUPPORTERS ASSEMBLY, SUPPORTERS ASSOCIATION AND SUPPORTERS TRUST "Rangers fans worldwide have been very patient during the the recent difficult period in the hope that we will exit administration and be able to work towards re-establishing our club at the level to which we all aspire. However, the delay in the administrator's announcing the preferred bidder is seriously jeopardising our chances of exiting administration quickly and is forcing us closer to liquidation. With the proposed SPL rule changes meaning we may not be competing on an equal footing for the next two seasons, it is imperative we have the chance to exit administration with a Company Voluntary Agreement and that has to happen as soon as possible. We demand that the administrators announce the preferred bidder as a matter of urgency. If they fail to do so on Monday 16 April 2012, we demand to be informed precisely why they cannot announce a preferred bidder."

  12. Celtic manager Neil Lennon claims referee decisions were personal Neil Lennon has suggested that decisions he believes went against his Celtic side in their Scottish Cup semi-final were "personal". The angry Celtic manager had earlier raced on to the Hampden pitch to have words with referee Euan Norris after the 2-1 defeat by Hearts. Lennon sent first-team coach Alan Thompson to talk to the media. But he later said on Twitter: "Feel so sorry for players and fans... I think it's personal myself." Celtic felt aggrieved after Hearts were awarded a stoppage-time penalty, which was dispatched by the Glasgow side's former striker, Craig Beattie. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17721320

  16. I have this strange warm feeling inside:smile:. Let me just say I have just found out the result,I haven't seen any reports, but it is great news to hear that the BHEASTS have FAILED AGAIN when it comes to the important games. This is another great result for Scottish football. I am now waiting on reports of the refs windaes getting put in and see what ref gets the sack, after all the only reason the BHEASTS never won the treble was because of the cheating refs in Scotland.
  17. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17715387 Former Hamilton chairman Ronnie MacDonald says what he describes as "in-fighting in Scottish football" as "absolutely embarrassing". MacDonald, who has been involved in the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League in recent years, fears fans are becoming disillusioned. And he feels self-interest is at the root of the problem. "Everybody's at everybody else's throat. Nobody's speaking for the fan," MacDonald told BBC Scotland. "What's happening to fans at various clubs just now is absolutely disgusting. â??The link between the fans and the club has been broken in many, many places.â? "Surely we can see Scottish football going down the pan. Where's the fun? On every front, we're under attack. "The fun and the passion's gone out of football and all these politcal chairmen have kicked things about. 'Here's the chance, Rangers are down, let's get them'. It's absolutely pathetic. "We've got a structure that works perfectly well. We've got expert people, we should listen to them. "Every single agenda that's coming out is all about how it affects each individual club, which is nonsense. We've got to say, 'What is the best for Scottish football?'" MacDonald insists Scottish Football Association president Campbell Ogilvie and chief executive Stewart Regan as well as Scottish Premier League chairman Ralph Topping are "the best calibre we've ever had" and has urged clubs to support the game's leaders. "I take the view that they're the chiefs, they set the map, we try to follow them and that's how business works," he said. "You get good people in and you take their advice. "The situation we've got in Scottish football, and I include the Scottish Football League, is that they should be seen as the chiefs and point the way for us. We should take their advice and back them. "Unfortunately, every chairman in the SFL and the SPL think that they're Chief Sitting Bull and that's the problems. We've got chiefs everywhere and not any Indians." The 10 non-Old Firm SPL clubs are pushing for change to voting rights in the top flight, a move that has come since Rangers entered administration. "I'm old fashioned," added MacDonald. "I believe, when you sit on the SPL board, what happens on the SPL board stays there. Others don't take that view. "Everybody can give a bit and we can't have 10 people meeting in a room and leaving Celtic outside the room. We can't have discussions about whether Rangers' administrators can vote on something else. "We all need each other and we've all got to give a bit, but we must get this sorted soon and there's got to be one league. "The SFL is full of people that have also got interests and, if you put a mic in front of them or a photo opportunity, it makes their day. We've got to get away from this. "The link between the fans and the club has been broken in many, many places. "I think what's happening at Rangers, personally speaking, is disgusting; the way the fans have been left out of every decision-making process. "Whether it's Rangers or Hearts or some of the other clubs that are rumoured to be in a state, I just think it's all wrong."
  18. Serious questions have to be asked about these admin guys, every they drag this out it is harming our ability to come out of administration. There are three bids in and have been confirmed, what are they waiting on now?,what reasons will they agree to selling to one/any of the bidders?. We fans still don't know what these bidders have planned for the future of Rangers, yet our destiny lies in the hands of the administrators!. I just want my fucking club back,so I can only hope that whoever takes over really has the interest of the Rangers at heart?.
  19. We need a QC Rangers fan to investigate the legality of such moves
  20. ADMINISTRATORS’ STATEMENT FRIDAY, 13 APRIL 2012 Duff & Phelps, administrators of Rangers Football Club, issued the following statement today. Paul Clark, joint administrator, said: “Following discussions with three parties bidding to purchase the football club, we can confirm that all three parties have informed us today they wish to remain in the sale process. “However, following the information supplied by us to bidders in relation to proposed new rules on penalties for insolvent clubs within the SPL, there have been changes made to the conditions attached to bids. “Among the new conditions are requests from parties who now, before committing further, wish access to the football authorities in order to seek greater clarity on the proposed rule changes. We hope to provide Rangers supporters with a further update next week and will continue to make every effort to reach the point where a preferred bidder can be announced. “We are keen to conclude an offer as soon as possible and certainly we would hope that this does not mean that finalisation is delayed until April 30, 2012.”

  22. Dhimmy Trust 'response' to today's RST statement: The announcement by the SPL of the proposed rule changes to deal with Clubs who fall into administration and/or liquidation has angered many Celtic fans and fans of other Clubs. The fact that it has also angered the RST on the grounds of being too severe is, at one and the same time, bizarre and entirely predictable given the state of denial in which that particular organisation exists. More importantly, however, is what we are going to do about it. The Celtic Trust have asked for a meeting, as a matter of urgency, with Celtic to ascertain what their thinking is in relation to the vote on these resolutions. There have also been a number of calls from members and other supporters to look at boycotts of away games. In addition there has been a proposal from within the membership to let the sponsors of the SFA/SPL know that we will take action, in the form of boycotts and other actions, against them if they fail to bring pressure to bear on the SPL to maintain the sporting integrity of the league competition. Other members have already suggested that Celtic should tender their resignation from the league in protest if these resolutions are passed, Whatever happens, and whatever action we choose to take, it is absolutely vital that we stand together on this one. Not only should all the Celtic supporters’ organisations and individual supporters unite to defend the integrity of the game but, if at all possible, we should be standing shoulder to shoulder with the Club in opposing the introduction of a ‘get-out’ clause for Clubs who have effectively cheated for years on end and who have defrauded the citizens of this country. If the SPL think they can be all things to all men on this one they need to be informed, and quickly, that nothing short of a robust and impartial defence of the integrity of the game will do. A competition without integrity is not one which many people will be willing to pay money to watch – not now and not ever.
