  1. Is that not already the case @ Ibrox............sit down shut up..........with some fans anyway............OOPS!!!! there I go again.......moaning & complaining
  2. LEE McCULLOCH is hoping for good news today as he strives to be fit for the Co-operative Insurance Cup Final. McCulloch suffered a calf injury in last week's 4-0 Homecoming Scottish Cup win at Forfar and the original diagnosis was an absence of between two and four weeks. The midfielder will have a scan on the problem area today and he is hoping that the damage will not be severe. DaMarcus Beasley in agony after Smith's challengeHe said: "I felt as if I had been shot in the leg last week but it is feeling better now. Hopefully the scan will be posititive." McCulloch has slotted in well in midfield in recent weeks performing a holding role to great effect at both Pittodrie and Parkhead. Meanwhile DaMarcus Beasley should be fully fit for the Ibrox clash with Inverness Caley Thistle on March 4. Beasley was lucky to avoid serious injury when he was caught in the Forfar match by Elliot Smith, who was sent off for the challenge. Nacho Novo is also working his way back to fitness after ankle damage against Dundee United on January 31 but it is still unclear when he will be ready. By the way, why are we playing Inverness on Wed March 4th ?
  3. Utter tosh ??,in your opinion. I happen to think the man has a lot to answer for the waste of money on his signings,TOO LATE, this season and why he continually picks players and plays them out of position, McCulloch ?.What he achieved last season was very short of our best ever season, granted. And if he feels it is right to have a go at the Rangers fans, then I'm sure he is wise enough to expect a bit of criticism when things don't go his way.If you are happy with what Walter has done then fine, some of us are not.Is he the man to take us forward ?, no IMO.FWIW I have not been on here and slagged him off, he just baffles me,and others with some of his decisions and can understand why he gets slated when it doesn't pay off. Not everyone thinks the same, but we are entitled to our opinion as you are
  4. Sunderland and Wigan are both tracking Rangers defender Steven Davis, who only moved to Ibrox from Fulham last summer. (Daily Star)
  5. While it's great to be sitting top 'o' the league ,I don't hear no fat lady singing yet, there is a long and nervy way to go yet,I mean I can just imagine the posts on here when/if we draw with someone and the MOPES get themselves back in front,I also hope that doesn't happen of course but I am not getting too carried away
  6. SPANISH winger Aaron will travel back to Station Park this afternoon for Rangers Reserves' league clash against Dundee United. Maurice Edu, RangersOnly six days ago the tricky 19-year-old bagged his first top team goal against Dick Campbell's Forfar Athletic at the same ground and the youngster will hoping to enjoy similar good fortune today. Tommy Wilson has been able to include several experienced players in his squad including Mo Edu, Steven Naismith, Graeme Smith, Christian Dailly and Brahim Hemdani. United and Rangers last went head-to-head on October 29th at Murray Park and it was a game Dailly will want to forget having been sent off after only 45 seconds! The Light Blues, with Barry Ferguson in the team that day, managed to scrape a 1-1 draw but Wilson is hoping his side can take all three points on this occasion. He said: "United always make it a tough test and we are expecting another difficult game this afternoon. "They always have a few experienced first-team players in their starting eleven but we are able to do the same on this occasion. "It should be a cracking match although it's a shame we are missing a few of our under-19 players that are away with Scotland to face France at Clairefontaine. "They would have played a part today but we still have a squad more than capable of getting a victory."
  7. I think any criticism of WS on here has been constructive and deserved
  8. He has been our most consistent players @ Rangers since his arrival, should he be here next season ?,well not if we can get someone in to replace him, FWIW I don't think he is any slower now than he was ten years ago,I wouldn't mind him staying, but as I say if we can get a good replacement then it would be thanks Davie for what you gave to the Rangers
  9. And if he did improve all these points,he will deffinately be sold ASAP
  10. Cheers, I did look at that page, but never read all the article
  11. Do you have a link for this article MF ?
  12. This guys is a complete CRETIN,and is showing himself up to be what we already know he is,'' laugh or cry''......................laugh for me
  13. CELTIC have opened talks with the SFL in a bid to enter a side into the Third Division. The sensational move could see the Parkhead club granted permission to compete in the lowest league within two years and possibly as early as next season. Record Sport understands Parkhead chief executive Peter Lawwell met SFL boss David Longmuir at Hampden last week to discuss a range of matters - but the idea of a second Celtic side in the league was the main issue. It's understood several SFL clubs have already been sounded out about the plans and have given a positive response. The SPL Reserve League is to be scrapped in April and Celtic hope to stake their claim for entry into the SFL at the association's agm in May. Falling attendances and mounting cash problems through a failure to generate revenue streams have hit the SFL hard in recent seasons and the arrival of one half of the Old Firm would provide a muchneeded boost. It's also understood Celtic's aim is to include youth and reserve players in a squad that would play in the Third Division but would not be permitted entry into any cup competitions. Celtic aim to take a lead from Spanish giants Barcelona who field a second team in the lower reaches of the their leagues that acts as a ready-made feeder side for the top team. Whether Rangers aim to join their Old Firm rivals in their bid remains to be seen but with SPL 2 already on the agenda it's clear that radical league reconstruction will open the door to the possibility of Celtic making their plan a reality.
  14. Rangers are keeping an eye on Hamilton midfielder James McArthur with a view to a summer transfer swoop. The Ibrox club is also on the trail of Huddersfield's teenage keeper Alex Smithies. (Daily Star)
  15. RANGERS under-19s will take on Inverness Caley Thistle in the semi-final stage of the SFA Youth Cup after the Highland Jags made history by beating Celtic following a dramatic penalty shoot-out . Celtic were favourites to progress from this quarter-final tie at the Tulloch Stadium but the home side produced a strong and assured performance to deny an Old Firm semi at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday, March 29. With the game sitting goalless after 120 minutes a pulsating shoot-out followed with Celtic striking the bar with their seventh effort to spark wild celebrations on the pitch and in the stands. :rfc:
  16. I think the Rangers fans will get a huge lift after this weekends result, and hopefully this will generate an improved atmosphere, we can sing them to the title
  17. The thing is on Saturday,I was disapointed that we never scored at least one more goal in the second half, however I am expecting the whole team to get a lift after the MOPES drew yesterday,we have the recipe for the players to go on a push for the title
  18. Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a ruptured knee ligament. The 26-year-old fell awkwardly just three minutes into Everton's 0-0 draw away to Newcastle on Sunday. He was stretchered off after receiving treatment and underwent scans on his right knee on Sunday night to ascertain the full extent of the injury. Arteta has been a key figure for Everton this season, making 31 appearances and scoring seven goals.

KRIS BOYD fought off a cold to help Rangers take three points against Killie at Ibrox. Kris Boyd, Rangers celebrates scoring Rangers' first goalThe prolific striker was a doubt in the lead up to yesterday's SPL clash but was given the all clear to play and put in an excellent shift for his team. Kris scored his side's first goal with a typically instinctive strike and took his tally for the season to 24. He said after the final whistle: "From yesterday to this morning I feel a lot better and the gaffer gave me a chance to play. "It was a tough match but I am just pleased that we came through it and got three points, that was so crucial. "In the first ten minutes I had a couple of chance and was disappointed not to score. "We then went behind against the run of play which was disappointing but we fought back and I was pleased to get us back in the game. "Kenny then got two but apart from that I thought he was excellent today. Kris Boyd in action against Killie "I think the critiicism he gets his unfair. "That was his 11th goal which is not bad for someone who is not supposed to be a goalscorer. "But the result gives us a huge boost and the pressure is now on Celtic. "Fir Park is a difficult place to go and they now have the added pressure of us being above them. "Even if they win against Motherwell we play Hamilton before their game next weekend so this is an important period for both clubs."
  20. RANGERS forward Nacho Novo has been named the world's most annoying footballer by the lead singer of indie rock band Glasvegas. James Allan, who played for Falkirk before becoming a musician, says he really dislikes the Spanish winger. "I played against him years ago and I was booked for kicking him up in the air," Allan told talkSPORT Magazine. "That must have been six or seven years ago and he was an annoying wee b*****d even then. He's a slimy little s**t man, a little creep so I quite enjoyed smashing in to him." http://sport.scotsman.com/sport/Changing-room-chat-How-to.5000410.jp
  21. No excuses!!!!,anyway, how can they try and blame the pitch?, the MOPES just play long high balls from back to front, always have, and the big Dutch donkey elbows + kicks everything except for the ball, then the wee skippy dwarf sniffs aboot the box,and if that fails the wee Asian chap falls over a divet to try and cheat another win........THE CELTIC WAY
  22. I wouldn't say Aaron is better than Fleck, TBF we haven't seen enough of Aaron where as Fleck has been doing it consistently for the youths/reserves
  23. 1 Rangers 26 11 1 1 34 10 6 5 2 22 9 37 57 2 Celtic 26 9 3 1 29 12 8 3 2 24 14 27 57
  24. Is that 3 wins in 10 for the MOPES ?
