With us being out of europe now,and everybody keeps saying he can't play in Walters' 4-5-1 system, surely he will feature in most SPL games this season as the 4-5-1 will be done away with.Walter should build the team around him for this season,or just move the guy on.What I don't understand is if you are not going to use him more, why didn't Rangers just sell him to Cardiff ?. However if it is true that these German teams are after him then IMO he would be mad not to go and try and improve over in Germany, which would also please of a lot of the fans here that don't rate him.

Agreed, but then why did Hutton go ?, in saying that I think the only way Cuellar would leave is if he wanted to leave, surely this would be a step too far for Rangers fans to accept ??????

Gribz,IMO bringing in Ljunberg is not the way forward, don't get me wrong he was a fantastic player, but he has done nothing since leaving Arsenal to convince me he is up for the challenge of playing for Rangers.I could be wrong of course but I would not be happy with him signing.

So MF,what is it you would actually want us,{ Rangers fans },to do to make all the right changes,in your view,to take Rangers FC forward ?.You clearly dislike Murray,Bain,Walter, and probably everything that is happening at Ibrox just now,so what is it you want to change and how would you suggest the best way to make these changes ?.Why don't you come out with some reasonable way of changing what it is you want the Rangers fans to do for the benefit of Rangers FC ?.Don't get me wrong here,I think you have some very valid points, but all I read from most of your posts is how badly Rangers FC is run,and how some of us are so spineless to do anything about it, what changes would you like to see happening ?,who would you want to replace these people ?,and how would you think that these changes would work ?

o Offers For Cuellar WALTER SMITH has confirmed that he still has money to buy at least two new players to bolster his squad and also knocked back suggestions the club is looking to sell fans' favourite Carlos Cuellar. Despite going out of Europe to FBK Kaunas on Tuesday night the Gers' gaffer insists this has not affected his transfer budget but did highlight the difficulties he has encountered in finding the quailty of player he wants at the club. Carlos CuellarWith three weeks of the current transfer window to go Smith is actively looking for suitable targets but has no intention of losing the club's current Player of the Year. He said: "We have no offer for Carlos and that is where we stand right now. We don't want one and are not seeking one and we don't need to sell the player, or any player, at this stage. "I don't have to offload players but I think it's a natural situation that some were going to leave anyway. "That will still happen but this is not because of our failure to get into the Champions League. "We had some money to spend before Tuesday night and we still have that but we are having a difficulty in getting the level of player that we want. "That's been a difficult task over the close season but there is money there for us to bring in a couple of players yet. "We have specific areas of the pitch we want to improve but we're hopeful in the remaining three weeks of the transfer window we can do that." Smith has received a barrage of criticism in newspaper columns and from fans after Tuesday night's Euro exit in Lithuania but realises this comes with the territory at any big club. He said: "Nobody likes to be criticised in any way, shape or form but when you become a football manager you don't expect to go through your career without receiving that at some stage. Walter Smith "If you are not prepared to accept the criticism you should not be a football manager. "When you lose in the manner we did on Tuesday night to Kaunas you expect criticism and it is deserved, I totally accept that. "I have had it before but all you can do is try to recover and get on with the job in-hand. That's exactly what we will do. "I'm not responsible for how people react but we can only feel the disappointment of the result in Kaunas and there is no doubt every one at the club feels it, from the Chairman all the way down. "But we have to move on and make sure this does not affect our domestic results. "We must look at the Kaunas games and raise our standards, starting this weekend against Falkirk."

Falkirk Injury Latest WALTER SMITH has confirmed that Kenny Miller is almost certain to miss tomorrow's SPL opener against Falkirk and that Carlos Cuellar will not be ready in time to face the Bairns. Miller has picked up a thigh knock while Carlos is still a few days away from making a full recovery from a calf injury. Carlos CuellarWith David Weir and Nacho Novo also suspended Cuellar's absence will give Smith a defensive headache and might pave the way for recent signing Madjid Bougherra to make his Gers' debut. The gaffer, speaking at this afternoon's press conference at Murray Park, would not give away his starting eleven but hopes his Spanish centre-half will return to face Hearts at Ibrox next week. He said: "Kenny has a thigh knock which looks as though it will keep him out of tomorrow's game. "He is touch and go right now but looks as though he will miss that one. "Carlos will not make it but will almost certainly back next week." Smith admitted the disappointment of losing to Kaunas on Tuesday night still lingers but insists his players have no option but to lift their heads for tomorrow's SPL clash at the Falkirk Stadium.David Weir He said: "We suffered a big blow in midweek and that doesn't go way after a couple of days. But we can't let it affect our overall season. "There will be an extra pressure on us to start the league well so our thoughts must be on that and we can't be too disappointed going to in to the Falkirk match. "It will be a difficult game and they have strengthened their squad. "Last year I think John perhaps thought that his team was a bit too young and he has moved to bring in a few experienced players this summer. "It's never an easy place to go but we have to go there and be confident of getting a win, I have no doubt we can do that."
