Some total moron in the crowd setting off smoke. If we have a great result here that's all we will hear about is the activities of this moron.

Nice one. Give us another to make it more comfortable.

So Hill on the bench and Senderos there too? Plus Waghorn on the hated plastic which has previously blighted him at Kilmarnock. If he can show the industry he did in his cameo appearance last week and maybe this time make an occasional pass he could do well.

Transfer Rumours and Deals - Winter Window 2016/17
JFK-1 replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Who knows. Not in the squad in their last two matches. Scored 6 goals from midfield in the 16 matches he has played this season. That includes a hat trick in a 5-2 away win at Barnsley on November 25th. Valued at £2 million on Transfer market. http://www.transfermarkt.com/henri-lansbury/leistungsdaten/spieler/44794 -
Hamilton Academical captain Michael Devlin and fellow defender Danny Seaborne are injury doubts for Friday's Premiership meeting with Rangers. Goalkeeper Remi Matthews and outfield trio Gramoz Kurtaj, Jesus Garcia Tena and Craig Watson remain out for Accies. Rangers defender Clint Hill is available again after suspension. But midfielders Niko Kranjcar, Jordan Rossiter and Josh Windass are still missing for Mark Warburton's side, who are second in the league. Statistics Hamilton have taken only one point from their past 10 league games against Rangers, but that came in August on the opening day of the season. Rangers have conceded only twice in their past five trips to Hamilton. Accies are on the longest current winless run in the Premiership this season - seven games - and have drawn eight of their past 11 matches. Only leaders Celtic, with seven, have picked up more clean sheets than Rangers, who have six, in the top flight this season. Rangers will narrow the gap to Celtic to eight points with a victory. Accies will jump from eighth to sixth should they win. Quotes Hamilton player-manager Martin Canning: "We learned on Tuesday [in the 1-0 defeat at Celtic] that the boys are capable of raising their game and concentrating for 90 minutes at a difficult venue. This is going to be similar. "Albeit it is a home game, it is still a huge club coming here and we have to make sure we are competing and concentrating from minute one and put in the energy we are doing and hopefully we can take something from the game." Rangers manager Mark Warburton: "The boys are professionals, they are winners. They want to do well. "Questions were asked of them after we lost at Hearts last month and quite rightly because we all had a poor day at the office. "But they responded really well with two big performances at home in front of sell-out crowds [beating Aberdeen then Hearts]. "Now, though, we have to replicate that level of performance on Friday night." http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/38258885

I feel we will swarm all over them while they will try to absorb it and steal something on the break.

Glasgow brothers told they are "a disgrace to Rangers" in court
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Would be more applicable in the other direction with just a small change. “If your team wins just enjoy it. “You do not run onto the pitch.” Plus don't commit mass assault and vandalism. And as you say losing wasn't the reason these guys were on that pitch. No one would have been on it if the thousands from the other end had not been there first within seconds of the final whistle. -
Yes they can be stuffy all right. I was at Ibrox back in 1988 when Accies who were lying bottom of the league came to visit in the Scottish cup and left with a 1-0 win after one Adrian Sprott scored against a team containing the likes of Woods, Butcher, Graham Roberts, Cooper, Durrant and McCoist. Threw everything at them in a total siege of their goal but the ball just would not go in the net.

Well he certainly wont be going in January. Or at least you would think not. -

So if a player who fills an equivalent role to that Halliday plays is signed he makes way given that the strategy is supposed to be don't sign anything unless it's better than that you already have. And doesn't Rossiter fill that role? A Rossiter who the manager said last week was just 10 days away from a return. -

Presuming anything we bring in during the January window will be better than anything we currently have in the relevant position at least one who has become accustomed to being in the starting 11 is going to be disappointed. Who is that going to be? There has been talk of a "creative midfielder' so who will drop down the pecking order if that's the case? I actually expect more than one signing in this window and if we can maintain our current form and results starting with an away win at Hamilton which is a difficult place to go then strengthen the team in January I will feel confident we will ultimately run away with second place laving a comfortable gap behind us. Actually despite all the early season troubles I was always confident that would be the minimum end result. January strengthening should make us an outfit too formidable for almost anybody in that league. We already have quality players like Forrester, Waghorn, and O'Halloran struggling to get a game. Nothing currently behind us can compete with that bench far less an even stronger bench. And a strong bench is an important factor. Having the ability to launch a potent weapon from the bench in a match we're struggling to kill off is a luxury very few have. Slowly but surely we're getting there. -
Better get voting quickly. Poll closes Sunday and they're currently well ahead of us.

Can you imagine the simple minded conspiracies flying around certain parts if that had been at Ibrox? Collapsing stadiums, failing unmaintained electrical infrastructure and even unpaid electricity bills no doubt.

I think Garner has been very unlucky on many occasions where if the oft mentioned 'fine margins' had gone in his favour his goal tally would already look more respectable. As an example he has hit woodwork on multiple occasions and had shots cleared off the goal line etc. All things being equal it has to start happening for him sooner or later.

He's not much of a footballer if he couldn't stop at that relative trot of a speed. The Rangers defender just to the right of him was moving at exactly the same pace and immediately stopped and turned to his right when the ball went over there. He could have stopped if he wanted to. He made a decision to trot off the field. And that's the be all and end all of it. We can't have players just deliberately trotting off the field and especially so in moments of frantic goalmouth action then just stepping back on when they feel like it. That was a great piece of officiating by the linesman concerned. -
Rangers are good enough to beat Celtic on Hogmanay says Kris Boyd
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
The difference in the performance of the team between recently and when we last played them is like night and day and even then the last time was a narrow 1-0. This time we have been gaining some consistency and it's at home. And presumably they will have no fans there because apparently they all expect the stadium to collapse at any minute. We can take them. I know it and the players know it. Aside from that though if we take them it's going to be a new round of excuses and if there are no immediately obvious excuses to grasp then it's a conspiracy. Masonic ref, mind control, lizard people etc. -
Best way to get to Douglas Park if not traveling by car is get a train to Hamilton West station. I repeat HAMILTON WEST STATION. NOT Hamilton Central. From that station you're already virtually there. In fact unless you're a local that's a better way to travel to and from Douglas Park than by car.

Think Tavernier should have his yellow card at pittodrie wiped from the record if this is the path we're going down. There is indisputable TV evidence proving he made not just a legitimate tackle but a superb tackle for which he was yellow carded and we were robbed of a throughly deserved point. -
I can't speak for anyone else but if he were John Greig and had professed the views this guy has been accused of I would think him just as vile.

Celtic fan jailed for assaulting Rangers supporter after Scottish Cup final
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
I have always found it somewhat strange that the term is supposed to be offensive when if you look at the definition they're not just proclaiming themselves to be fenians at every match they're proudly proclaiming it. Isn't all that exactly what they proclaim to support? Then are supposed to be offended to the point of serious assault when allegedly given the label? -
On Friday Uefa confirmed that they will push ahead with previously announced plans to reform the Champions League and will provide compensation for smaller leagues affected by the changes. European football's governing body made the announcement after an executive committee meeting at their base in Nyon, Switzerland. In August, European football's governing body had revealed that the continent's four leading leagues - Spain, England, Germany and Italy - would be guaranteed four places in the Champions League group stage for the period 2018-2021. The move had been backed by the European Clubs Association (ECA) made up of the continent's biggest clubs but the European Professional Football Leagues (EPFL) body had been opposed to the changes on the basis that they overly favoured the current elite and felt they would hog the prize money as a result. To ease concerns after meeting with the EPFL, UEFA's new Slovenian president Aleksander Ceferin said that the current number of berths in the Champions League would be maintained for all countries. A champions back door and a hand down Furthermore, domestic champions who are eliminated in the qualifying rounds will get a second chance in European competitions by entering a "dedicated champions' path" in Europa League qualification. Previously there was no second chance on offer to these teams. In addition, a pool of 50 million euros (£42 million; $52.7 million) will be passed down by the Champions League to the Europa League, "and a further 10 million euros will be earmarked also from the UEFA Champions League as additional solidarity distribution for the qualifying rounds." The club coefficient system will also be looked at to avoid teams from top-ranked leagues gaining an unfair advantage - for example, a club like Leicester City, with little European track record, would not benefit so much simply from coming out of the Premier League. Changing the viewing routine UEFA also confirmed a change to the kick-off times of matches in the group stage from 2018, with two games starting at 7pm Central European Time and six at 9pm, compared to all matches starting at 8:45pm CET in the current format. http://en.as.com/en/2016/12/09/football/1481314103_008421.html

So as we all know Joe still isn't scoring but despite that is he now an automatic first 11 pick? From the fans point of view at this point I would guess probably but the fans don't pick the team.

Paul Murray is to lift the lid on the "Inside Story Of Rangers FC"

Indeed, classic example of an asset stripper in action while masquerading as something other than an asset stripper.
