I mised the game as I just got back from a a 2 week training stint in Dallas which is why I haven't been on the forum recently too. Judging by the comments it was a win but not the crushing display we would hope for at home. I'm just glad to be in the next round because there is a tendency to be underwhleming after a 3 week break.

So you think everybody who is beaten by a superior side just needs to get organised and they wont be beaten? Why bother spending multi millions on the cream of football when all you need to do is be organised? Are all those teams in the Bundeliga they are hammering just disorganised? If so we're in good company.

Judging by recent results it's going to come down to Chelsea and Liverpool. A draw at Old Trafford against a United who have begun hitting their stride is a good result.

This is a side being bankrolled by a major corporation competing with one of the best in Europe for the Bundesliga. What else did anyone here expect at this stage of the recovery? That we should be competing with a side who can go toe to toe with one of the best in the Champions league? That's not rational at this point.

There can be no disputing he has evolved into a great shot stopper. Happy birthday to him. As for transfers contracted till May 2019 so there should be no rush to cash in.

C****c receive £20m bid from West Ham for Moussa Dembele
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
So how much will we get for McKay? Someone consult the Record for their expert estimate. Man I wish the Record were setting all prices for exports. -
Mark Warburton lands US kid skipper Emerson Hyndman

Isn't that a bit like saying no manager outside say Barcelona can be happy with what he is watching? The current situation is what it is and if we achieve our targets then both the manager and the fans have to be happy. There is no point in the manager being unhappy he can't have what he would like if the budget was unlimited. All he can do is be happy to achieve targets and the immediate target is a second place finish which is well within reach in this transitional season. Then take it from there. -

Maybe a fan just like us? The team has always cost me money and I accept that. -
C****c receive £20m bid from West Ham for Moussa Dembele
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
I tend not to believe it because if there were such an offer Dembele would be on his way down the road 10 minutes after it hit the desk. Hell they would snatch their hands off for half that. -
I didn't see any of it but judging from the stats it's difficult to say how good or otherwise they were . Shots on target 3 and got 3 goals? I still foresee them stumbling and possibly allowing Utd back into it. After a poor start Utd then became the form team only slipping up in their last two against third from bottom Dumbarton and now Hibs. Utd will rediscover their form and are far from out of it. I think whoever makes the play offs are in for a tough time from both the Championship contenders and the second bottom SPL side. As it stands right now they would have to overcome Hamilton and that could be a very tough nut to crack.

Kenny Miller and Clint Hill to be offered new deals at Ibrox
JFK-1 replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Miller appears likely to carry on his habit of scoring important goals for us and came within millimetres of a double at the weekend that could have secured us a point. As for Hill he really looks like he's relishing this challenge and has indisputably earned another year. I'm content to retain the kind of experience these two guys have for the hurdle of Europa league qualification. If we can get into that group stage we will be leaving the Hearts and sheep of this world far behind and moving another bit closer to the main opponent. -
I think the Giroud goal is better. Further out and I would say more difficult to pull off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVM_Q_QEois

Fantastic build up as well. Came all the way from just outside their own penalty area.

I was mad at him for that because Dodoo virtually had a tap in but I can accept him openly admitting it was a mistake. With that and Miller striking the post we weren't so far away from taking something out of it.
-
So what can we say about this before youtube take it down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jodic0x8PE
-
Lot of that going on. Dodoo had virtually a tap in if Forrester had just given him the ball and Waghorn did exactly the same thing to Garner a couple of times in one match. I'm worried we may have more glory hunters than team players.

Transfer Rumours and Deals - Winter Window 2016/17
JFK-1 replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Hopefully it will improve as the 'project' progresses. Let's see what happens this month then in the Summer when there should be a lot more available than there will be in January. -
Garner sitting in A&E waiting for treatment still in full kit. Surprised some wag didn't come out and say sorry no football colours in here and especially not a full Rangers kit on Old Firm day. What are you thinking of son? Are you trying to start trouble? http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-striker-joe-garner-pictured-9542025

Transfer Rumours and Deals - Winter Window 2016/17
JFK-1 replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Don't think we can take those values too seriously. If we were to do that Senderos is the most valuable after Kranjcar. -
Yes I think next season will be a whole different ball game too. We have two transfer windows to strengthen the squad hopefully to an extent that there will be nothing like so many points dropped unnecessarily. We're not so far behind in the league simply because we lost to them but because we dropped so many points we shouldn't have starting right from day one when we drew with Hamilton.
-
We're not so far behind them and at this stage being better than the rest is acceptable. I'm hoping the January window puts us comfortably ahead of the rest and a bit closer to them for the next encounter.

If an equaliser is going to come I would be happy if it comes in added time to break their unwashed hearts at the death.
