  1. That burst their fantasy bubble. I was seeing predictions of up to an 8-0 win for them. We could have won this game by a couple of goals with a better finisher on the end of some of our chances.
  2. No one gives a flying what you think Walker. You though elbowing off the ball wasn't a problem.
  3. Broonaldo stunned that he can get a card. Is this an alternate reality?
  4. I would have preferred Miller to be on the end of that Waghorn chance.
  5. Think I would call it a battling performance so far that seems to have put them on the back foot. Just keep this up and their own crowd will turn on them because they think everything is a gimme these days.
  6. I was happy to see a halftime substitution with Garner coming on rather than the Warburton habit of waiting till the hour or after when we're running out of time for a sub to get himself into it and change anything.
  7. And some might say it's weird that Garner gets a hat trick and even scores with his feet.
  8. Well that kills it off. What a save by the accies goalie just prior to the goal.
  9. This might be a chance to get a few. Accies can't just dig in now.
  10. I would love to draw them and give them either a real drubbing or dull their 'exuberance' with a last minute winner.
  11. Possibly another victim of heading too many old style heavy leather balls.
  12. I think we would all agree that 2012 was not just a crisis but a catastrophe, the current situation is neither. The realistic target for this season was a Europa league spot and that's still eminently doable despite inconsistent results. Probably more accurate to describe the current state of affairs as a blip on the radar of our hopes and expectations. First season back in the SPL after the catastrophe of 2012 mistakes have been made which can and will be rectified. At the end of the day we have fans in the boardroom who are every bit as eager as we are to get us back to our rightful position. It could and has been a lot worse in recent times. I'm disappointed but not concerned about the long term. I'm always disappointed when we're not the dominant force but I know we can and will be again.
  13. Davie Cooper was one of those guys you couldn't take out of his home town. Derek Johnstone once said of him that after matches on a Saturday afternoon everybody would be planning to get dressed up and go out on the town in Glasgow that night but his exact words were that "all Davie ever wanted to do was get back to Hamilton" Souness also commented that Davie could easily have gone to Italy and been a multi millionaire several times over but that never happened because of the same thing. Italy is too far from Hamilton. Incidentally he took the train or got lifts because to my knowledge Davie never learned how to drive.
  14. I too think there is a decent team in there but they're just not playing to their capabilities often enough. It's difficult to see how this can be turned around but we're still in the driving seat for a Euro spot and it has to be turned around somehow. They're so unpredictable it still wouldn't me surprise me if they get one good result then go on a run. We need an interim manager quickly if indeed interim is what we're looking for at this point. It would appear obvious McLeish fits the bill and would be ready to step in even if just till the end of the season when if he wants he can throw his hat in the ring with the other contenders. De Boer is apparently interested but not till the end of the season and presumably he knows about the current financial woes but is still expressing interest. It's not all about money for some people and I would guess De Boer already has enough to last several lifetimes.
  15. Don't they have exuberance in their vocabulary?
  16. It's not impossible for a team like Barca to claw their way back into it at home but I would still deem it highly unlikely given that PSG only need to hold their lines while Barca need to go for it. Chances are that PSG may get an away goal or even 2 and that will put it out of reach. Will make for an interesting match though as they go at it full blast.
  17. Since we're apparently going to be looking at an interim manager for now I don't see that we could do any better than McLeish. It has to be someone currently out of a job because who would quit a full time post to take up a temporary position and it has to be someone who knows the Scottish game and preferably familiar with the current squad. McLeish has at least watched them play and ticks all the other boxes too. Right now all we need is someone to get us over the Euro qualification line. He's good enough for that and I don't see how we could get any better for a temporary position.
  18. I wont even read the tirade but it baffles me how he thinks a support can be too loyal. Without it there would be no club so presumably he's suggesting the support should drive the club out of existence? Just our club? Or all clubs who supporters have gripes about? How many would that leave standing?
  19. RONALD DE BOER insists Rangers will have to wait until later in the year if they want to attempt to lure twin brother Frank to Ibrox. The Light Blues board have started their search for Mark Warburton’s replacement after he and assistant David Weir quit the club last week. Rangers are likely to install an interim boss to see them through to the end of the season before appointing Warburton’s successor on a permanent basis ahead of the new Premiership campaign and potential Europa League qualifiers. Former Ajax and Inter Milan manager de Boer admitted over the weekend that he would be willing to speak to Rangers about a return to Ibrox. But Ronald believes Gers chiefs will have to be patient in their approach and bide their time before making a move to take his brother to Glasgow. "He will never take a team at this time of year," the former Netherlands midfielder told BBC Scotland. "Frank won't go into that (whether there has been an approach from Rangers) but he told me, and I knew this already, that he's waiting probably until the end of April and then he will take his decision on what options are on the table. "He wants to have a decent run up. He had this lesson with Inter Milan when he had only two weeks to start the league, he couldn't really prepare the team. I think he learned from that so he wants to have a good pre-season and get to know the players very well. "He will never take, for example, the Rangers job just now. That's not in question. "He has his philosophy. Do they stand close to his philosophy and how he wants to play? Is there a chance to buy players, all these kind of things. "He has to observe the team itself, how strong it is and are the players able to fulfil his thoughts? “Frank will play forward so he wants players who can play in small spaces, who can dribble and are willing to go forward. That's really important." http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/rangers/15089819.Ronald_de_Boer__Rangers_will_have_to_wait_until_April_if_they_want_to_appoint_Frank_as_boss/?ref=eb
  20. We have had 6 shots with 3 on target. They have had 1 shot and score with it.
  21. I would hazard a guess that anyone selected to play against Morton will be completely professional and giving it their all for the support. It's going to be an interesting day and the crowd may even be boosted for the curiosity value.
  22. I wouldn't mind if they took a couple of months trying to get the right man in but we need someone in place comfortably before the end of June when Europa league qualification will begin.
  23. I think under Scots law a contract is binding after a verbal agreement but don't know if this qualifies as a contract agreement. Dissolving a contract isn't the same thing as agreeing to a contract. http://www.contractsandagreements.co.uk/law-and-verbal-agreements.html
