Might it also be the case that Joe Garner in particular has suffered from the loss of Kranjcar? Fighting Joe might be the ideal target for the pinpoint precision of Niko. Joe is desperate to start putting them away and I could feel his frustration on Saturday when instead of passing to him Waghorn decided to try putting one away at an almost impossible angle. Joe can be seen in the highlights glaring over at Waghorn while holding both arms out pointing down at the ground to the space in front of him in sheer exasperation. Made me wonder if he later had words with Waghorn about that and presumably as is supposedly their habit the manager will later sit everyone down and go over every minute in detail. That particular moment had to stand out in the analysis.

Might be argued that he didn't have time to show what he can do. Just like Kranjcar he had no pre season and definitely wasn't fit. If we had graded Kranjcar over the same period he too would have been crap. Niko was just gaining fitness while becoming used to the Scottish game and coming on to his game when we lost him.

I'm from Hamilton born and bred and I don't recall it ever being anything else but Accies to the people of the town.

I think it's likely Barton though regarded by all in the game as a top professional footballer was more known for his indiscipline than his performances. And though we don't know the details of what happened at Rangers I think it's fair to say this wasn't his most spectacular outburst. I think it was Joey himself who introduced that expectation.

Paul Murray is to lift the lid on the "Inside Story Of Rangers FC"

I this an invitation only event? And if so why invite these malevolent forces? -
I don't know if the dimensions are any different from the old Douglas Park but a comment Davie Cooper once made touched on how relatively narrow that was even at it's greatest extent. He was talking about his role as a winger and how difficult that was on narrow pitches. Said something like "to play as a winger at Douglas Park I would be standing out on the M8"
-
I'm a Hamilton man born and bred and lived all my life there till coming to the US in 2012 so I have nothing against Hamilton. Been to Douglas Park supporting them on countless occasions in my youth but never been to the new Douglas Park. Accies know their place in the big picture and have no illusions of being anything else. They're a small club surviving by finding and developing young talent which they then punt on to the bigger clubs and that's how they largely get by as a top flight club. They can be a very tough nut to crack and especially so on their little plastic pitch. And even away from it they aren't so easily broken down as certain people at a certain midden discovered just last night. On another night Accies could have taken something from that as both sides registered just 2 goals each on target the entire match. They will create chances and we're going to have to turn up and be on our toes for this one. Looking ahead I hope Accies survive another season and more in the SPL but if they were to be the one in the play off spot at the end I have a dream scenario for that. They meet the exuberant ones again and turn them over again. Oh how sweet that would be.

Transfer Rumours and Deals - Winter Window 2016/17

That's ironic because he has problems with twitter. He has been fined on more than one occasion for inappropriate tweeting and appears to have disciplinary issues in general. -

Wondered if we might show some interest in Hamiltons Ali Crawford who has scored as many goals as any two of ours combined including one against us on the opening day and that's impressive when you consider who he plays for. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/38292401 -

Rangers 2 ( Kiernan, McKay) v Hearts 0 post-match discussion
JFK-1 replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
I predict we're going to see a lot of this type of thing. No matter how well we play or how convincingly we win excuses will be dug up about how some trivial little incident would have 'changed everything' plus referees and the SFA too apparently according to the latest Hearts conspiracy are conspiring to help Rangers. Personally i'm confident even if that goal had stood that we would still have beaten them. That incident marked the only really good chance they created the entire match. It was their 1 shot on target in the entire match. -
I doubt they would find anybody to replace him who could make them the second force in Scotland. That's an impossible task that's going to become ever more impossible. They're effectively already about as good as they can get while we will become even stronger. It's simple economics. They could bring back Alex Ferguson and it wont change that. They just have to get used to an SPL with Rangers back in it. I think the board must realise that. They just have unrealistic fans as do Hearts and it doesn't help to get them used to their proper place when they have players making unrealistic statements.

Rangers 2 ( Kiernan, McKay) v Hearts 0 post-match discussion

I thought that too. He's a footballer for crying out loud and he isn't flying. The Rangers player next to him is moving just as fast as he is and he easily stops and moves off to his right when Wes makes the save and the ball goes over there. They're supposed to be able to stop and turn on a tanner moving much faster than that. Cowie made a decision to trot off for whatever reason and that's an example of why it would be problematic to start entering provisions into the law. -

I think the thing is that there is no provision within the law as stated for such incidents as running off due to momentum and if you tried to insert such provision it could then be open to abuse making it hard to referee. It's simpler just to call it as the law states it. If you go off the pitch momentum or otherwise you're on the goal line if you come back on till there is a break in play. -
I'm no engineer but reading that it crossed my mind that constantly removing a roof support surely results in some degree of movement within the structure. Which may then produce the effect you see if you bend a piece of metal back and forth till it snaps?

Did the rules change? Last I heard you can't appeal a yellow card only a red. And where does this stop if you can? Wasn't Tavernier booked for the brilliant tackle at pittodrie that stole them a last minute winner? TV later showed it was a 100% legitimate challenge in which he took the ball. Is that going to be rescinded? Isn't almost every yellow card contested by the one booked? Is almost every last one going to be appealed? To be fair I don't know if he did take a dive but that's the breaks isn't it. -

I think Leicester can take Sevilla. The first leg being away gives them an edge.

Totally agree, there is no comparison between the hard hat joke which is actual humour and hanging effigies which even plod Scotland agreed with and arrested the offenders. Seems they didn't get the joke either.
-
They're all better than us till they play us. We're going to be top 6 at best remember? Mark McGhee said that just a few weeks ago And got the same drivel about being as good as us from a Hearts Brazilian after Saturday didn't we. I'm guessing these guys don't even think before throwing out the spiel. What edge might that be? Aren't we ahead of them even if they win all their games in hand? Doesn't that mean we have the edge? If not what do we need to do to have the edge?
-
I think that's a fair point and given our overall lack of goals over the season so far if he were to be considered a midfielder 4 isn't such a bad return. And even at 37 I still feel he should be given another year and next season perhaps be launched from the bench for the last 30 minutes or so of matches we haven't killed off. He's kept himself in good condition and can certainly compete for 30 minutes against tiring opposition legs.
-
If he's still in the team come the summer I seriously doubt they will let him go. He currently has more league goals for the season than anybody else in the team.
