There wont be any censorship and even if there was, wouldn't be my place to be doing the censoring. Just tired of people who have such an ingrained hatred of a player, and a Rangers player at that not a Celtic player, that they refuse to give them any kind of credit at all too the extent of their opinions looking rather foolish. I don't see there can be any kind of positive result of debate with people like that.

If you're taking ridiculous stances on certain issues, not representative in any way of the evidence available to you i'm not sure you really should be allowed to air your opinion. I could sit here and argue the sky is green. Doesn't mean people should have to sit there and listen to me talking shite though does it. To make my general ranting over the past 24 hours or so clearer I am not saying Boyd is above criticism or that his game cannot be improved. However OTT abuse of one of our most influential players (in terms of winning matches) and now denying his goalscoring prowess is an absolute nonsense.

Gribz if you dont agree that Boyd is by far the best goalscorer we have then there is no point in debating anything of his qualities. It comes across as someone being childish and obtuse. Of course debating football is about opinions. Certain aspects though are taken as fact as it is the commonly held, consensus opinion especially held by those best placed to make judgements. e.g. ex players. I could take a ridiculous stance on another player, say Lee McCulloch is the best player in the world, and say it's my opinion, no one can say I am wrong. But the sane individuals discussing football would call me moronic and quite rightly ignore my opinions on football matters. To deny Boyd's goalscoring record is nothing short of moronic. Some things just aren't up for debate and it is bewildering that people try and deny their own sense of logic or sense of sight. Ps. Most of your last post irrelevant. All my comments were with respect to his goalscoring ability only, as stated. What's the point in "mature debate" when you and your friend are claiming Boyd is not a natural goalscoring. You cant "debate" with people who are denying what there eyes are telling them. You can't debate with people whose views are so twisted they wont admit even the slightest positive about the mans game, despite the vast majority of fans Rangers or not and people who are far more knowledgeable about the game agree is a fact. Logical, mature debate is impossible with people like that.

For what it's worth, Cousin isn't here anymore, so to talk of the 4-2 game and Boyd's exclusion is a nonsense. No one else provides Cousin's kind of threat in our current squad, so we need to look at a different way of winning the game. Also Darche was anonymous/useless in the Hibs game so you could just as reasonably argue the result may have been even more convincing had Boyd played instead. Don't let your hatred of the man get in the way of things though. I still fail to understand this deep seated hatred of the man. Even Boruc and McGeady would get less grief of some.

F T P, your views on Boyd are clearly down to far more than what he does or doesn't do on the pitch. Nobody with a basic grasp of the game would try and argue some of the ridiculous points you have. It leads me to one of two conclusions, you have something personal against the player or I call shenanigans, your username (acronym = F T P) and your views on our most lethal finisher suggest timpostery. In any case consider your views on Boyd ignored as you have shown yourself incapable of logical and even handed debate of the mans ability.

Sorry missed the smilie off that first comment. I'm not wrong about Novo at all. The arguement was that Novo was a better goalscorer than Boyd. 25 goals for Boyd playing most games in a full season would be seen as a fairly poor season for Boyd. Ergo I am correct. The Birmingham argument was that Boyd is a better proposition than Thommo upfront and the class of team they attract. Birmingham>>Cardiff. Ergo I am right again. Boyd's record when at Killie isn't all that relevant. We wouldn't use other player records at previous clubs to judge their time here, so the same applies to Boyd. Killie have a poor record against Celtic. Don;t win many points, score many goals or make many chances and so he is unlikely to have scored against Celtic for Killie, although I agree it is poor that he had not got a couple in that time. The relevant stats are the one's I posted. And but for incompetent officials his record would be satisfactory.
