  1. Cheers for explaining some of that Cal. As I have had to thank BD and Craig in the past for explaining some simple financial ideas.
  2. How many goals a striker has scored over the course of a season is irrelevant as far as his team's current form goes. It's a daft argument anyway. I'm not trying to say they're great or we shouldn't have scored more. I've admitted we should have, I'm just saying they are the form team in the league. Which they were. We will now have overtaken them.
  3. Assuming Hamilton get a positive outcome, Celtic's inaction of their numerous incidents should be highlighted!
  4. Hamilton were the form team. Nothing to do with Walter, merely a statement of fact. 5 wins from their last 6 collecting more points than us, in fact more points than us this calendar year. They have won 8 out of their last 10. Doesn't detract from the fact that, yes, we probably should have scored more. As I've said elsewhere though, it was a bit of a freak match. We'll play worse and win by more.
  5. McCulloch played mainly left mid for Wigan did he not. I certainly thought of him as one when he arrived.
  6. Never saw it, Setanta mentioned it briefly and quickly forgot about it. Saw Weir complaining about something, but it wasn't actually shown on tv. No doubt the press and authorities will be more concerned about what was being sung.
  7. Watching Espanyol - Real. Co-commentator just said if they keep a clean sheet today that will be 9 in their last 12 or 13 games. That's what there recent excellent run (before today 9 league win on the spin) has been built upon. If they nick the odd goal here and there they win games. Paraphrasing the commentator there, but they were his words (roughly) about the mighty Real Madrid against the bottom club.
  8. Wanted to see who AZ had again this weekend with a view to putting them on my coupon. Weren't on betfreds list, thought they were playing tomorrow for some reason. Bloody won 3-0 again, Groningen this time and I didn't get them on.
  9. Perhaps, but I still believe they will be dropping points. A thumping victory can't cover up for 2 months of mediocrity. They wont play 10 men every week.
  10. It's not an impossibility more an improbability. If we start worrying about how many we score rather than winning the 3 points we could well end up dropping points and surrendering the league.
  11. Hopefully they wont have edited this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sasa_Papac
  12. I'm not sure we did sit back on the lead. We were dominating the game. We had several good chances to add to our lead. Even when Whittaker came on, a perceived defensive change, we made a few good chances. Just one of those days were it didn't fall for us. As I've said we'll play worse and win by a greater margin. I don't believe it will come down to GD in any case.
  13. When you look at their form, I think you have to give us a bit of credit for making them look so poor. Yes we could/should have score more today. We will play worse and win by greater margins. Football is a funny old game. I think we get too worked up over goal difference because of 02/03, but how often does it actually count? Personally, I don't believe the title will be settled on GD. (As an aside found another error on the SPL site regarding their season review. We won the title by 1 goal according to them.)
  14. Could be making things difficult for the SPL.
  15. Replying to my own post. Anyway, have just read we are the first team to go to New Douglas Park and keep a clean sheet since mid September.
  16. TBF I don't think it will come down to goal difference. It just isn't that close, that often. The Old Firm will be crucial and it will likely come down to the odd point or 3. Win the games and don't worry by how much. Keep picking up the 3 points and it will be enough.
  17. Can win at the Santiago Bernabeu, but 2-0 down at the riverside. Sure Jon, Lauren, Craig and Gav will have plenty to say.
  18. One down. Arguably one of the harder one's too. Away to the form team in the league. ICT next up midweek. Nothing less than 18 points from 18 in the games leading up Hibs away as the next "real" test. As I say 3 from 18 so far. (Unfortunately the ****s look like racking up a good score. )
  19. Heard it said on Setanta that was our 17th clean sheet today. Is that in all comps? Also 8 clean sheets in the last 10. When your back line are performing like that it gives the rest of the boys the confidence that allowed us to win that game by the solitary strike. Even when Hamilton threw everything at us when they had nothing to lose, they still couldn't fashion a shot on goal. Only thing that was missing today was more clear cut chances, absolutely dominated that game but just couldn't put it to bed. Thanks to the form of McGregor, Weir, Bougherra, Papac and Broadfoot though we comfortably won that match with just the one chance taken.
  20. With Mendes out I would alter my team from the preview to: Aaron Ferguson Davis Naismith
  21. Every week I see Dailly on the bench. Every week I ask myself why?
  22. And yet that was one contentious (though correct decision). How many wrong decisions have gone for them this season (or last for that matter)? It was a weekly occurence at the start of the season!! Any talk of the last and the current championship being "tainted with the stench of cheating"?
