It was a sore one. Twice for me. Who have they got in any case? I'll be rooting for their opponents.

Easy choice. Man U for SAF and I hate Liverpoo.

You know if we had such an obvious cheat in our ranks the mhanks would be in the press asking for a strong referee and too watch out for this. Making it impossible for the referee to give any decisions in favour of said player.
-
Should we be saying something in the press to put pressure on the ref to watch out for him? Considering he's done it in at least twice in the 3 games this season, resulting in 1 goal, that so far has thankfully counted for nought and nearly another which McGregor saved. Seeing as our impartial media are so keen to talk up the big incidents, you would think they would mention this? And we all know Celtic and even Levein use this tactic of speaking in the press to carry favour from the ref's. I'm not saying we should look for an advantage from the referee, but merely get them to stop being so weak and punish this cheat. Perhaps to avoid a Levein situation we could get an ex-player to comment in one of the dailys.

Don't joke mate.

Who would you play at left-midfield next week...?
Super_Ally replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Fleck 4 Aaron 5 Novo 7 No one else has received a vote atm. Fleck will not play. Neither will Aaron. After initial bright appearances they have not played well enough to cement their position and they would need to be playing exceptionally well to keep a more experienced (if out of form) senior team mate out of an Old Firm. Smith will always play safe. Novo is just back from injury and it would be unfair to throw him in and exepct him to perform. Smith wouldn't take the gamble, though I maybe would. So, whoever plays, the Gersnet consensus will be disappointment. Of the other options, which none of us fancied; Whittaker is a right back candidate. Will not start left. Beasley is no where near the first team picture. (Rightly so imo). With Smith likely to deploy a 4-5-1 we will likely see the out of position Lafferty or Miller on the left. -
Boyd out of cup final after bust-up with Walter

Mmm... I guess I could have put that better. Looking back on niar as well as the current squad. Happy was maybe the wrong choice of words. THough if you are happier in your work environment (or even if you think lower down the ladder, within your sports team) then you are likely to work harder and produce better performances/results (a generalisation, but these come from somewhere). The players respect what he had achieved and respect him and hence have mroe belief in what they can achieve. Look at Scotland or taking Rangers to our first European final in decades. He certainly has his faults, but, yes I do believe he has good man management skills. -
I had picked 4-0 for the 3-0 game last season where tv replays showed McCulloch's goal was wrongly chalked off. That's my claim to fame, over a year ago. Don't have a "feeling" for this one yet, apart from a Rangers victory but I always predict that.

One season wonder?

Boyd out of cup final after bust-up with Walter

Do you not think in general his players are pretty happy under him and tend to fight for him and the team? -
That's not what the table says.

Boyd out of cup final after bust-up with Walter

Agreed. One thing you can't fault Smith for is his man management. Boyd will have required this kick up the arse, though that shouldn't be the case. -
Away in the summer then.

Cheers Hamburg.

The results of this weekend's game could have huge implications on the league's destinantion this year though.
-
That pretty much sums that season up. Though obviously normally the SFACup is a bigger deal.
-
When they got the first CL goal of the night I knew i'd be regretting that one. Will go with my instincts in future.
-
Ah well then, hand out projectiles to the bears and join in the singing. Do they ask you before hand who you support so they know where to put you? Every time a bear complains about the *******s get on your walkie-talkie to your boss!

I want us to win every competition we enter. The League followed by the SFA Cup give the bigger bragging rights, but silverware is silverware, particularly when it's the mhanky mhob in the final.
-
Gives you something to play with on the next bet though.

Well done Jon. A couple of people put me off taking Bayern. Idiots. Though would only have had them on with that crappy Berkshire outfit!

Double on Man U/Barca last night. Still fuming at Reading. Not sure what to do with UEFA? Considering; Hamburg, Bremen, PSG, CSKA. Not all of them obviously, just a couple i'm thinking about.

Quality not quantity.

Agree with Coisty's comments, no player should be happy at not playing. I don't even think the odd outburst is completely wrong as long as it's not Boydy behaving like a child every time. Looks like Smith dealt with this well and could hopefully get a reaction from him. Let's all be honest though, Boyd was highly unlikely to play in the cup final and being dropped for Hamilton was merely (as he feared) the confirmation. I'm not one of the one's who went off the deep end in gushing praise at the Miller and Lafferty partnership against an already depleted Hamilton side who were decimated by injuries throughout the match. I'd still be more confident with Boyd in the team, as long as he doesn't deliver an ICT performance.
