Boyd out of cup final after bust-up with Walter
Super_Ally replied to ascender's topic in Rangers Chat
With respect to this point: I've never understood fans (and there are hundreds on FF) who criticise a player for this. I dont see being angry at not playing as a sign of a bad attitude, but a good one. I don't mind a petulant display in the heat of the momment at being subbed or dropped or whatever. It shows they care and want to play. I try not to buy into conspiracy theories, but when you just look at the bare facts as you have outlined them and compare that to the paper stories it just does not add up. -
Boyd out of cup final after bust-up with Walter

I read the OP, with the Daylate quoted and was initially raging at Boyd if true. The common sense wait and see posts calmed me down. And then the ET post made me think perhaps the Daylate blew it out of proportion. I'm pretty much . I still think Boyd could be absolutely lethal for us and that's why I get frustrated by the excessive criticism. He will never be a Drogba or I dunno an Ibrahimovic. But with his finishing ability, the right coaching from Smith et al and the right application from Boyd we could have a legend of the Scottish game on our hands. After the Burley fall out I thought he'd go from strength to strength. Unofrtunately the last month or two he has fallen right back. What the fuch has happened. Gribz will be raging at his self-imposed exile!!! -
 Was not aware of all those stats, such as us having won 4 OF finals on the bounce. @ Celtic. And Fergie having a 9 and 0 Cup Final record. Soon to be 10 and 0.

Should have got Cammy to write the intro of the preview for me. I do (kind of) agree about foregoing the two cups in preference of the SPL title, however I don't know if I will be able to be so pragmatic come Sunday. In any case, lets just win all 3!

All told it's about £400 quid they cost me alone. That's why I was so raging. Birmingham and Wolves for promotion for me.
-
Aye, kinda asked for it. Still though, have I said fuck Reading yet?
-
I had 3 out of 4 on one and 4 out of 5 on the other that included Dumbarton and Brechin. Put them on at separate times and somehow didn't realise i'd managed to put Reading on both.
-
I hope Reading go bust. FUck them. Useless cunts. Charlton are a joke of a team. Worst team in the league by some distance. Bottom of the form table. Every weekend I'll be looking out for their games and rooting for their opposition. Useless, useless cunts!!!!!!!!!!!

Aye it's an absurd way to behave. I'm usually quite logical about things, no superstitions. Just get funny about my bets. Don't know why as I can see me talling or nor people who i've bet on can have no possible effect on the outcome.
-
I'm the same. I wont tell my wee bro my teams for fear of jinxing it. Ha ha. And he winds me up by trying to guess my teams.
-
I knew he hadn't featured much, didn't realise he hadn't managed a single game. My amazement (at mistakenly) believing we kept one and not the other wasn't really related to the position they play. It was just that they came in at the same time and one featured well and was let go, whilst the other rarely (never as you point out) played and yet I thought we'd kept him on. All moot points anyway as my memory was a little out. Thanks to yourself and Norris for clearing it up.
-
Been busy but will likely be up at some point today.
-
Cheers Norris, for some reason had it that we kept Eggen on despite him rarely playing yet got rid of Bonnisel who looked a reasonable acquisition.
-
Are the first team watching?
-
Fleck and Naismith the only ones with a realistic chance of making the match day squad at the weekend? Maybe Edu to I guess, but barring injury he wont get off the bench. Looking at those players does that suggest Fleck wont be playing this weekend?
-
Thought he looked a player. Did we keep on Eggen but not him?
-
It seems to suit you!
-
I like this thread more than Cammy's! (No offence big man, your post was great, just prefer the positive stuff )
-
If that's the general consensus it will likely be up tomorrow.
-
Unfortunately I think you're right.
-
Would that be with Davis, Barry and Mendes in the centre. Where does that leave McCulloch who is a certain starter imo.
-
He is an ace up the sleeve against the mhanks. Often good for a goal. Lack of fitness means Smith is unlikely to start him. Don't be suprised if he makes the bench though.
-
I'll ask him for some advice. Keep you all reading my inane ramblings for the rest of the week. Anywho, what's your take, 4-5-1 or not?
