  1. Not much I can add other than an excellent article with some considered and well written points. Let hope the fans take heed.
  2. Most difficult one of the season for me. In a pretty average Rangers performance no one really stood out as having a spectacular performance, unlike previous games. Hutton played quite well. Darcheville worked hard with little reward. Novo changed the game and is a Motm candidate for me despite being on for a short period of time. Everyone else was either average, not involved or poor. Except for CC. Not as dominating a performance as ahs earned him previous motm awards, but the best of an average bunch last night. Carlos edges it for me.
  3. Have to agree with the guys who say AM is not far behind CG. At club level last year, largely due to the farce that is the management of Hearts football club, McGregor had a better season. I even wanted McGregor to play v italy as Gordon would not be match sharp. But Gordon came in, played like he hadn't missed a game all season and made some top drawer saves. Unfortunately due to the way managers (rightly) stick with the man currently in possession of teh gloves, unless he has a run of horror shows, means it will be very diffciult for Allan to get many caps. He is unfortunate to find himself behing a keeper who is not a lot better than him, but has been the country's no.1 for a considerable period of time.
  4. Aye noticed th post in footy chat. Assuming we make it they look like 2 good first leg results for us.
  5. In tonight's commentary it was mentioned he had 7 clean sheets in 10 European outings. Make that 8 in 11. He has also not conceded a goal for more than 450 minutes, in no small part due to the defenders in front of him. As Walter says, it may not be pretty to watch, but it is effective. If you don't concede you can't be beaten. Keep it up.
  6. No mate, Chris Smith I think.
  7. Official match review Only thing we can take from that is the team is essentially our youths. alot of last year's double winning u19s in there. Not familiar with Donal, Gallacher or Michetschlager though.
  8. McEvely is a LB aparently, thought he was CB for some reason. So him in for Alexander in my previous post.
  9. Agree the midfield looks weak. Also has Eck even selected a LB? Just shows up how weak we are upfront as they are our first choice strikers. THe only one's I would ever play are Boyd, O'Connor and McFadden. The rest simply aren't good enough. I would play: McGregor Hutton Anderson McManus Alexander?? Teale Brown Fletcher Robson McFadden O'Connor/Boyd Playing McGregor as we know Gordon is No.1 but it looks like Allan will be his understudy so needs some games at international level. (Plus i'm biased  )
  10. Unlike Zeta, where I said I wanted and expected 2-0 as a minimum and that this would comfortably see us through, in the home leg of this tie I would take 1-0. I would prefer more and beleive we are capable of more. But a victory with a clean sheet puts one foot into teh CL groups as I beleive we can score over there. Would like another 2-0 though boys.
  11. I like the colours, but no so much the design, sorry mate. Mind you, some of them look better on than they do hanging up. The drak blue third kit of 2 (I think) years ago is a good example. Did you take that design from the white shirt with red striper down the middle that we used previously?
  12. Good to see mor bears making the effort.
  13. Official site pics A good sight I guess. Back in contention and a boost to the sqaud, or a player we need to sell. If it's the latter how do we find a buyer unless we put him in the shop window?
  14. Hutton, McGregor, Boyd. Official site link
  15. And yet they don't see what an embarassment they are. Real Irish people don't want to be associated with their plastic counterparts.
  16. We're all looking for a win with a clean sheet. The 2-0 home win we got against Zeta is exactly what we're looking for  . Any luck with a ticket for this one, or is too early for that yet?
  17. That will breed confidence. If you aren't conceding you can't get beat.
  18. A draw at home in their opening game. Not the best start then. The Zeta official sounds like a prat.
  19. ------------P GD Pts Rangers-----2 5 6 Hibs---------2 3 6 Motherwell--2 2 6 Celtic-------2 3 4 Had to post this guys as it's a while since i've seen it this way. Long may it continue.
  20. 3 from 12 so far . Keep it going lads.
  21. Well done mate, always nice to get the first winning coupon of the season.
  22. And another performance like they had in Tallin and we'll walk it.
  23. Agreed. How sad it is that that even needs mentioning.
  24. Now you mention it Vidmar was predominantly left. May well have played right. Think Thompson gets knocked a wee bit much. Not a superstar, but scored a few big goals.
  25. Here's hoping Craig.
