  1. Frankie started off saying top 40 would be a real(istic) achievement. A little bit of "success" and we're getting greedy. It's good fun though, eh? :spl:
  2. Hope that's the case and we've not blown our load at the start of the week with it plummeting back down now.
  3. Is it some lame attempt to get him to stay? Will he not just think "fuck me, i've only been here two minutes and contributed more to their season than anyone else, they really must be shite! I'm away back to Spurs".
  4. Shows up how shit the rest have been. Have they not fallen further behind since he came?
  5. Looks good, my bro thinks so too. However, does look a bit like a France shirt.
  6. Ex-Bear and could have wide ranging implications so moved into the main forum. I was pleasantly suprised by his appointment and disappointed he's quit. Any idea what the "personal reasons" are?
  7. I just thought if, for example, the Scottish Sun mentioned it then some bears who are not online and might have missed it might be able to get involved. :spl:
  8. Good man, upto 38. Any coverage of this in mainstream press?
  9. I'm not sure tbf. I assume any as that was the link Frankie had in the email which I copied into his OP. I guess we have all week so you could wait for Frankie or a.n.other to confirm.
  10. 1st one is quite smart. Retro one like one of our 80s strips. Second 1 would be quality if it was just a block colour of blue and not the subtle stripes. Edit: Frankie, having seen Craig's efforts could you re-do your second one with the "Tennents" white instead of red?
  11. What's a rough target of sales for being no. 1 (obviously changes week to week), how many do we have atm and is no. 1 a realsitic target? What's the site for the updates too? Ps. Links need to be added to the OP. Worked in the email but not here.
  12. I think Davis' best performances have been better than Weir and the other contenders. But Weir has been more consistent and not as anonymous in large numbers of games that Davis has. The attacking players catch the eyes and get the recognition, but I don't think that's fair when they've had a lot of really quiet performances.
  13. Yet it was us getting slagged when Hampden wasn't full for a game against a diddy side. Gotta laugh at those muppets and their media lackies.
  14. Season Winner Points 08/09 Rangers 86 07/08 Celtic 89 06/07 Celtic 84 05/06 Celtic 91 04/05 Rangers 93 03/04 Celtic 98 02/03 Rangers 97 01/02 Celtic 103 00/01 Celtic 97 80 points for the season with 12 to play for. Given that the season is over as a contest and has been for some time I would expect us to drop more points before its over. If we only win another 4-6 points this season that would put us up with the league winners of the last 3-4 years and seeing as we've not had the same motivation to keep going over the last month or so that a team being pushed all the way would do, it's not the worst total. We're not great, but we're certainly far from the worst team to win the title recently.
  15. 2 points for the title. Drama queens relax. :spl:
  16. Tour of America (East Coast) rumoured.
  17. Looked more today than against Motherwell when watching tv today. But not so sure from this pic:
  18. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/scottish/scottish_sport/785587/Gers-boss-Smith-wants-a-level-playing-field.html Stick it to 'em Watty. :box: Best manager for any team in Scotland since... umm.... Walter Smith.
  19. Official attendance for the Motherwell game given at just over 21,000 in this article. Did they not give it as 27,500? The attendance today given on the BBC website is 29,650. Under half again.
  20. From the archive on the main site: http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/archived/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=552&Itemid=65
  21. League Winners and points totals since the league split has been introduced. The 3 wins you speak of would be us on a par with points totals of the last 4/5 years but shows an obvious decline in points totals to the 4 or 5 years prior to that. I think with the downsizing we've been doing since Eck took over from Advocaat it is obvious we have seen a reduction in quality but I don't buy into the talk of it being the worst team every time we win it. This team will be no worse than the other league winners of the last 5 years or so. I also think it's a bit daft to suggest that we're only top because Celtic are poor (not that I accuse you of that FH but it has been said). As I say, we're on course for a total similar to that of other recent champions so that arguement holds no water with me. We can and need to improve, but we're doing ok atm. Edit: Ps Just checked a few of the last 3rd places with points being 59, 60 and 65. With United already being on 59 and Hibs (on 50) having a cracking season perhaps its fair to say that it's been harder to collect points from the best of the rest this season compared to recent seasons?
  22. Na, not really hysteria from you. But there has been a certain amount from the rest of the online community.
  23. 17th of the season from the penalty spot against Forest. On soccer Saturday Jeff Stelling repeats the assertion that he is the ultimate bargain buy of the season. Maybe time for him to leave, but I maintain £500k was a shocking bit of business. Wouldn't have sold him for that.
  24. I may or may not have edited the title of Jim's thread.
